The usual, "I wanted to like this place..." but most of the food here is laughable at best. The backbone of all dishes are the rice or noodles. All the rice grain here is low budget broken grain - no real jasmine, served dry, like it had been sitting and just lost its moisture. The noodles in the pho and soup are more of fat rice noodle or a ramen noodle than the rice vermicelli noodle I expect in my pho. But that's probably my California (Bay Area) conditioning.
We ordered a good variety of items and most of them fell flat - the lac luk, spring rolls, beef pho, beef soup and dumpling soup....can't really recommend any of them. But we did also order the lemongrass chicken with rice. That chicken was pretty good. Not good enough to get me to come back but definitely worth a mention.
The red rice with the beef lac luk was servers really dry.
The rosé we ordered was out of stock and we got up-sold a bottle that isn't worth a mention.
There's gotta be better Viet food in Paris than this place. Pass on this spot, and find the better one. Then let me know about it. read more
