This is one of the better pho places around. The broth is nice and hot. It bothers me when the pho places don't have hot broth. My husband had pho dac biet and I had the rice special and the portion is very generous full of flavor and I like the char on the grilled meats. The pho portion is giant with plenty of meat. I asked for a side bowl and had some pho too. The service was very fast and servers were kind and accommodating. They do have a chili oil. It isn't spicy but had a good flavor. read more

After a long day of work and hungry, met up with my parents and sister for dinner. I haven't been back to this place in a long time. My dad says it used to be called Pho 79 but now it is Pho 99. I can't remember. The place looked the same, casual, and clean. The service was good and our appetizers and pho came out in good timing. Didn't wait too long. We just ordered 2 plates of plain eggrolls only, which was 8 pieces. The eggrolls were ok. I've had better, but decent. The eggroll sauce is on point. Our pho orders came out hot the way it should be. I had a medium rare steak. The amount of pho and rare steak was good for a medium bowl serving. Not too little pho or meat. The broth was good. A decent spot for Vietnamese food. For appetizers, we had pork and shrimp spring rolls with no noodles. The peanut hoisin dipping sauce with added Sriracha was perfect with the dish. The imperial rolls were delicious but I wished it was served with more than 1 romaine lettuce leaf. The pho without any condiments was okay. However, with the added onion oil, hoisin and Sriracha, the broth was much more flavorful! Tip: order your steak on the side if you like medium rare. We ordered the rice plate replacing the rice with veggies. The proteins, imperial rolls and over-easy egg were great. Again, I wished they would served it with a little more greens. As a big Pho lover from Houston, Texas where has the most Vietnamese community in the US. If I may pretend I know Pho noodles, a lot, this store broth was bit intense tasting too much addition rather than a real original Pho beef broth. We've been going here for years and use to be a great place to go but I don't know who is managing it now because it has really gone downhill. Lately every time we go or order there are issue with the order not being corrected or food missing and when brought to their attention they don't care or fix the situation. We keep giving them chances but this last visit was our last. Took forever to order. They forgot to bring us our drinks. Half our order didn't get put in we waited 30 min just for them to bring the rest out. It still wasn't correct and they doubled charges us items on our bill. One of the waiter wanted to make the situation right by comping the late items but when we talked to the manager (the hispanic guy) he didn't care and said well you still got the food even though it came out late. They definitely don't value their regular customers. If you go and have good service then you lucked out but keep going and you'll eventually see. read more

This review is regarding the to-go delivery from Uber Eats. This is my 3rd or 4th time ordering from Pho 99. The portion size is decent and tasty;however, they are extremely stingy on the broth. Every single time, the broth is only 2/3 full and today was no exception. Whether you order a small or a large, you get the same amount of broth. Even if you order a small size, the broth is not enough and it is all soaked up in the noodles. They have an option to get another 32 ounces of broth for $4.95 which is a rip off! Now, every time I order 3 small size phos instead of 2 large phos so we have an extra soup to use and it is the most economical way. See picture below. Delicious! I consider myself a bit of a pho snob, at least for a white person. I've been eating it over half my life now and only the most authentic . It's authentic here! Vietnamese lemonade (soda chanh) and coffee here are on point. They also have boba. I'm not a fan, but my kids are and they said they were great. read more

When I lived in Littleton, I would frequently eat at Pho 99. I came back to Denver for a weekend, and took my ultimate frisbee team to eat pho in Aurora. This was my first time at Pho 99 in Aurora. Upon reaching the parking lot, I saw the restaurant didn't look aesthetically appealing, and I knew the food was gonna be good! Sure enough, the food quality didn't disappoint. Broth was seasoned well and tasty. Rare steak was tender. I talked to the owner, and she said she used to own the Pho 99 in Littleton, but quality at that location may have lessened. Great pho menu. You can basically customize your own pho with what you want added in (tripe, flank, etc). They give you a lot of noodle for a medium size so I was quite full after finishing it. Eggrolls are small but delicious. The spring roll (they call it summer roll) was descent. Bahn mi is average, I would rate it 2.5/5 for bahn mi. Wished they added more paste, meat, and veggies. The bread was falling apart when I was eating it. But the other stuff I ordered was good. read more

Twice now the meat and soup were clearly spoiled and the rotten smell was so noticeable once we opened the package there is no way the restaurant would not know it had gone bad. I always order a rice combination bowl for takeout, and it has been consistent for me. I recommend calling it in to save time, but I usually order last minute when I'm in the neighborhood. The owner is super friendly to me and the food is always fresh and tasty. I haven't had the opportunity to try the pho. I have found my newest favorite pho place! Always searching for good broth and this place has it. The meats are tender and sliced well, the broth is amazing and the portions are actually pretty hearty. I get a small bowl everywhere I go and this small is filled to the brim with a ton of meat and noodles. That bowl can't get any higher. I recommend checking this place out if you anywhere near the Aurora area. It is so delicious! The restaurant is very large and they have a bunch of seating. The staff is on their A game. As others have noted, no stop at the Havana Costco seems complete without a hearty bowl at Pho 99. A friend of mine who lived nearby introduced me a few years ago. He moved. It's been a while for me. I was less impressed than before. Why? Everything from service to food and decor seemed kicked down a notch. Maybe they were having a bad staffing night, but the first three tables we chose were all dirty. Nothing says, "Welcome back" like noodle fragments stuck to your bum. Service was slower and less attentive than I remember, but no less friendly. They create a feeling of welcome. We started with the summer rolls, which were probably the favorite item tonight--fresh and tasty. The Vietnamese egg rolls do make me smile. I like their uniquely crispy margins and flavor. My #6 (rare steak, well done brisket) must have taken a nap, because it showed up late enough that the rare steak was no longer rare. Watching it cook is part of the fun! Maybe it's that I've had numerous other pho since coming here and my palate has changed, but the broth seemed less vibrant than before. Still, I enjoyed the flavor once it was spiced up. Three stars overall. I've recommended this place for years, but may back off on that until another visit restores my faith. If you do stop in, I suggest adding extra veggies to any bowl. read more

Absolutely wonderful pho place! Came here with my church friends and we were quickly seated and attended to. Service was great, food came quickly and their menu has awesome vietnamese drinks that separate them from the other pho places. Not a lot of places here where you can get an "egg milk soda"! Food was delicious, though I will mention their bathroom sink was broken. Otherwise it's one of the best pho places in Aurora next to pho kim, and you can't go wrong coming here. read more

Just moved out to Lowry and decided to check out the local pho scene. I used to lived near the pho restaurants on Federal and have been spoiled by great soup. This pho restaurant is reasonably priced and gives good portions. The rare steak is sliced well and the broth is savory. I usually get meatball or rare steak, so I can't speak for the other choices. This restaurant also serves cheap banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) with your choice of grilled chicken, pork, and beef. For $4.95, it is quite a filling meal. The environment is also very inviting and spacious. Lots of seats for large or small parties. Large TV in the corner to watch football. I believe that the pho on Federal is probably better, but this restaurant comes pretty close. Check them out! read more

They were also able to accommodate our group of 15 so that's something we appreciate in eating out as a family. The menu accommodates everyone's needs, especially kids who are satisfied with just the eggrolls and a small bowl of noodles. Now I know, I know... Pho 79 in Aurora has already gotten plenty of love from y'all, but nevertheless I wanted to throw in my two cents. My favorite pho bowl here is the #8 Special. This way I get the best of all worlds - rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon and tripe! And Pho 79's meats are so good, and the broth is so flavorful, I usually only end up doctoring my meal with Tuong (Vietnamese soybean sauce - no Hoisin here people!) because I just love that condiment so much. These folks know their soup! I also like the Goi Cuon Chay (tofu, veggies and rice noodles in a soft rice wrapper), served with a peanut-Tuong sauce that's out of sight. I can almost taste them now! A family friend of mine told me that this place used to be better until new owners took over. I cannot testify if that is true or not but I can tell you about my experience from dining at Pho 79 yesterday. I debated between getting pho or their specialty combination bowl (bun thit nuong). After careful deliberation, I chose the combination bowl because I was craving the grilled shrimp. That bowl comes with vermicelli, bean sprouts, peanuts, grilled pork, grilled shrimp, two egg rolls, pickled carrot, fish sauce (nuoc mam), lettuce and cucumber. The nuoc mam was lacking in flavor compared to nuoc mam that I am used to. I presume they watered down the flavor to make it more acceptable for non-Vietnamese consumers. The egg rolls were perfect and very flavorful and full of meat. The shrimp were small but sweet and the pork flavorful without being fatty. I couldn't finish my bowl because it was huge and there were a lot of noodles and bean sprouts. I found a hair in my noodles mid-way eating which was off putting to say the least. I also tried their egg roll appetizer which was slightly expensive considering it was only two egg rolls (two long ones cut in half so I guess that made 4). However, it came with salad, pickled vegetables, vermicelli and cucumber so it could have been made into a mini meal. The egg rolls are worth eating for sure. I would order those again. In terms of atmosphere, this place is spacious and was half full on a Sunday night. They offer blended smoothies with pearls/boba as well as a seaweed salad appetizer (not very Vietnamese). Service was standard for a Vietnamese spot. The girl at the register was on the phone at the same time as doing my credit card transaction so it was confusing the entire time I was trying to receive my receipt and sign it. I enjoyed all of the photos of Vietnam on the wall and the hanging nong la (rice hat) decorations. I will try their pho next time and update my review. read more

Ordered the Number 8 pho and the fried dumplings w/chicken. Number 8 pho: I really liked the taste of the beef at this place. The broth was on point. The scallions were fresh and crunchy. The noodles were good. I really enjoyed it! Trust me, the medium is more than enough! Fried Dumplings: not a huge fan of these. Essentially a chicken egg role so I didn't think they were too special. Pho Toppings: I would have rated this place four stars but the toppings that came out with the pho were weak. Limes looked stale. Jalapeños weren't crunchy and didn't feel fresh.
