I ordered a Grilled Meat Noodle Bowl to go. It came with 2 shrimp, egg roll, bean sprouts, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots and noodles with a side of sweet fish sauce. They put a lot of veggies but not noodles or meat. Shrimp was kinda chewy and meat was bland. It costs over $18 and I don't think it's worth that much. read more

I really don't know how to rate this restaurant, considering that EVERY time I've tried going there over the last three months, they've been closed during normal business hours. I'm starting to suspect they're a front for illegal activity. They were closed the entire week between Christmas and New Year's, then they were closed the Sunday AFTER New Year's Day, and today they were closed again! Seeking to branch out from my usual pho spots in Aurora I made my way to Pho Duy. SPACE/LOCATION: Pretty typical for most Vietnamese restaurants I've been too. Very minimal. There's a couple tvs mounted on the walls, some decor at the hosts stand/register, and paneling that goes just less than halfway up the walls. Since it's located in a strip mall of 6th and Del Mar Parkway there's more than enough parking for everyone! EATS: For me (and most of the people I know) pho is all about the broth. Their broth tasted like it was lacking something. It just didn't have the depth of flavor I've come to love. Perhaps this batch didn't simmer long enough. I loved that there were large slices of onion in the broth. Nice to mix it up from the usual green onion. There's was plenty of noodles, pieces of meat, served up with the usual plate of bean sprouts, limes, and basil. Portions were quite large! DRINKS: They offered a variety of soft drinks, boba bevvies, and Vietnamese coffee as well. I chose to sip on a Thai iced tea with my meal. It was quite delish! The perfect compliment to my piping-hot pho. SERVICE: The service was pretty standard for a pho spot around lunch time - very efficient. I didn't interact much with the servers aside from being seated, placing my order, and paying for my meal. Pricing was def on point! While Pho Duy was a solid pho spot; IMO there are def better ones to be found in Aurora. read more

Pros: Good soup Cons: Super small portions. Small amount of noodles AND meat I got the one w rare and well done steak and tendon I had one small tendon. I ate the noodle in about 6 bites. I was hungry so i ordered egg rolls. Thin small egg roles with no lettuce or sides to wrap. read more

Definitely come here if you are craving pho. The broth is so clear and packed with flavor, you don't need to add anything to it! The only downside is if you are craving anything else, they don't have much on their menu. Their main focus is pho. This is my uncle's favorite spot & this man knows his pho. The location itself is not as big so I'm not quite sure about larger parties but definitely give it a try if you want something warm in your tummy. They have 3 bowl sizes. The broth had no flavor, the peanut sauce for the tiny spring rolls was so watered down you couldn't taste peanuts, and they completely left the congee out of my order, which was the main reason I ordered from them. The small pho had one slice of brisket. I wish there was something to save the day, but this place fell 100% short of expectations. read more

Customer service is 4.5 stars but overall it's three because the broth is not as deep as other pho places and the food in general is not bland but not superior in terms of pho. I will still visit and come grab a bit when I'm really hungry and tired and in the area because again it's ok. I ordered medium pho and I know the portion was a small because of how fast I finished my food and the fact that I finished. Small pho at most other places are still good portion for me. They also don't give and many vegetables as necessary. It's looks skimpish. The service again is pretty good, the music is on point but the food is not at its best. Also they made a mayonnaise sauce for the fried shrimp which I didn't expect and wish it was fish sauce. Kind of weird here. This place is my favorite pho joint in Denver. First of all, their broth comes out hot, and I mean boiling HOT-- if you generally have gripes over getting warm bowls of pho served, then come here to get your resolve! Secondly, the price point here is a role model, and puts most other pho restaurants to shame. White people can be easily tricked-- they pay for miso soup for god's sake-- but no trickery at Pho Duy!! Pho is priced and portioned to anyone's happiness. Another testament to good pricing is their spring rolls and smoothie drinks. Got a small pho tai bo vien. I'm from Orange County, California where there's plenty of pho places to choose from so I'm spoiled. However, first thing first, I always taste the broth before adding the hoisen sauce or sriracha into my broth and I always ask for a small bowl of broth on the side to dip my filet meat into it (otherwise it would alter my broth from the bowl I'm eating out of). With that being said.... the broth from both bowls were warm but not hot enough to cook my thin slices of filet. The bo vien / meat ball is really just one (sliced into 4-5 slices) and was overwhelming with pepper. Pepper kills the taste of amy broth when there's too much of it. Since we were close to the airport and were waiting for friends coming in from a later flight, it was okay. Friendly staff and clean restaurant! Might come back. read more

In my quest to eat all the pho in the world, I uncover yet another gem. Located in the historic Hoffman Heights neighborhood of Aurora, Pho Duy use to lie on the outskirts of an industrial park off of I-70 and Peoria. Despite the suspect surroundings of the previous location, Pho Duy never had a problem packing it in. On a side note, eminent domain kicked in and confiscated the land for the East Light rail line. So the new digs in Hoffman Heights is very nice. It is a newly renovated restaurant with attentive service and good pho. I mark them down a point for having not so fresh meat, but all in all a pretty decent pho. I came early and I'm glad I did because it looks like this place gets a heavy lunch crowd. Even for an early lunch, people started filling in the seats. 12 down, 999 more to go! TIP point: This restaurant is nearby the Fitzsimmons Complex for those looking for different restaurants while in that part of town. read more

They just recently relocated from 33rd and Peoria and have just been open a couple weeks but the pho is definitely up to speed. The broth was pretty much perfect, noodles not overcooked, the bowl was adequately topped, as was the garnish plate.The prices are a little higher than they used to be but hey, what isn't? read more

So I've got this wild theory that every authentic pho restaurant, no matter where you go in the continental USA, is gonna look the exact same. Ugly green tables, plastic chopsticks, scenic paintings of waterfalls and fields on the walls, those red plastic water cups. Does some singular Vietnamese restaurant warehouse exist out there in the world that provides to every single Vietnamese restaurant in existence? What does it mean?!?!? Anyways, Pho Duy is such a welcome find for me. It was my first bowl of pho since I moved here to Colorado. And coming from a spot like the Bay Area where there's basically a pho restaurant on every block in certain towns, I was nervous about quality being the same. And thankfully, pho is pho is pho. It tasted so solid. The broth was totally there. Not too salty, and not too thin. Didn't have to drown my broth in oyster sauce or Sriacha to give it flavor. Portion size is a little tight here though. I got myself a small, because back home it's usually enough to fill be to the brim. Here, the small was more like a cereal bowl. First time I've ever had a bowl of pho and stayed hungry at the end of the meal. Prices are pretty nice here all things considered, especially with these inflated Colorado Asian food prices. $6 a bowl is a deal you can't beat. Perfect meal for these cold as ice days. Alright ladies and gentlemen, the venerable Pho Duy of 33rd and Peoria has relocated to the Del Mar Circle. This doesn't hurt my feelings as it's actually closer to work for me, so thank you eminent domain! You'll find the relocated Pho Duy on the southeast side of the Del Mar Circle, near the Save A-Lot grocery store. The parking lot can be a bit strange, so do watch for other drivers not paying attention (ie, me. Sorry, people!). I like the new space, although I think it may be a smidge smaller than the old one. But the most important thing is is that the pho is still top notch. Yes, I'm proud to say that this pho joint is easily my favorite in town. The broth is amazing and always spot on. And the service is wonderful. If you find yourself in this bizarre shopping area, definitely pop into Pho Duy. They easily rival anything you'll find on Federal. read more

They moved a few miles south on Peoria (used to be at 33rd, now at Del Mar Circle in a big shopping center), but they're still pretty close to campus, and so we go when we're in the mood for some hot noodley goodness. The new location is a bit drafty, especially if you're near the door, but the food's the same and that's what counts. It seems a bit bigger, but maybe that's just the layout.
