    Bun dac biet - $17
    Michael X.

I have tried a good amount of Vietnamese restaurants in the Denver area, and I'm always down to try some new places. Pho 888 was well rated by the community and I wanted to check this place out. We went on a Saturday around 8PM and was able to get seated immediately. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza so there is ample parking. There are a good amount of decorations and cozy lighting that is standard for pho restaurants. Many tables are spread within the restaurant, and service is fast - we ordered and got our food within 10 minutes. We got the Pho dac biet - large ($16) and the Bun dac biet ($17), which was a decent amount of food. For the pho, broth was pretty standard, though I couldn't really taste spices and it was more fish sauce forward. I also wished that there was more beef in the bowl and that they were more generous with that, because it felt like there was only a very small handful in the bowl and it was finished very quickly. I would say that this is a pretty standard middle of the line pho that you can get here in Denver. The combination bowl was good, they were more generous with the meat, but it tends to lean a little bit on the saltier side. The beef was slightly tougher, but I will attribute that we came closer to closing time and maybe things aren't as fresh as expected. I would say that pho 888 is a standard Vietnamese restaurant in comparison to other pho restaurants in the Denver area in terms of both flavor and price, and if you are looking to satisfy that craving, it will do the job.

When walking in they ask you how many and direct you to a numbered table. The menu was super easy to read and I noticed that they recently updated their prices since it was taped on. The sizing of pho bowls are hung around the top of the restaurant which helped to visually see what size we wanted. Both my husband and I opted for a medium bowl which was $13.95. We got different meats and boy was it served FAST. The broth is very homey and comforting. I will say its not as clear as I like my pho broth to be, but it was still good. Definitely had a lot of salt in it and did not need extra. I love the lime to help cut the soup with some acid. Meat was great. Size prices were the following: Small: $12.95, Medium 13.95, Large: $16,95. Pretty decent pricing! Would be back.

Pay at the counter when you're done. Their large combination pho had a lot of meat, but only one piece of meatball and one piece of tendon. They could have been more generous. The beef fried rice had plenty of beef while the shrimp fried rice could have had more shrimp (see photo). As one would expect from a casual pho restaurant, its family-friendly, low key and quick service.

Very good food and service. We stopped here before our flight home and they were quick on service and nice. Brought out everything we needed. I think my pho bowl was missing a meat that I ordered. But we were in a hurry so I didn't bother. The eggrolls were my fav and I could eat that as a meal. Their fish dipping sauces were very good, on the lighter side. I was okay on the crab Rangoon but it did have good filling. Would def come back here next time in Denver

It's been about 6 years since I last came to this place. Here in Colorado this weekend so took the opportunity to visit my favorite Pho place in Colorado. Let me tell you, the quality of their food hasn't changed a bit. I was looking for Lin, the owner, but he was off today. Their egg rolls are to die for. Very tasty and love the crispiness of the wrapper. I think they use rice paper instead of an egg roll wrapper. This time I ordered their mixed grill meat plate and it was heavenly. Every bite is just full of flavor and for $17.95, it's worth every penny. I ordered a side of Pho broth and it did not disappoint. If ever you're in Denver or layover and you have at least 3 hours before your flight, come and visit this Pho place either on your way to DIA or as soon as you arrive in DIA. I know that you will not be disappointed!!

This place has solid pho. Its not the best, but you always know what youre gonna get. The place is cute and always always busy! There are lots of staff around and food gets to your table very quickly. The pho is good, broth is flavorful, has a good amount of meat. The price is decent, their prices keep increasing, but for good reason. The basil and bean sprouts arnt always super fresh looking but it'll do. I have been here countless times because of its proximity. Its a good quick go to spot.

This spot always hits! My favorite pho restaurant in Aurora, service is always spot on and every meal I've always had has been delicious. They never question when I ask for extra pho veggies, sauces not provided on the table, sides of fresh thinly sliced onion or extra sauce containers to mix my sauces in. I also love that they are so friendly and recognize their regulars even if it's been a minute since youve been in. (Because most of the time someone else from the office goes and grabs the takeout order for lunch.) The goi ga (chicken salad) is so refreshing, gorgeously plated and so damn tasty! The eggrolls, spring rolls, pho, rice plates and noodle bowls are all equally amazing. Definitely one of my favorite Aurora places to eat!

Better than average pho restaurant! Decent servings and the broth doesn't make you feel too bloated afterwards. I liked to eat mine with chili garlic oil but sometimes the staff either runs out or doesn't know what I'm asking for lol regardless, still one of my top choices for pho on this side of town. Plus, it's also right next to Paris Banh Mi, and I love to stop by and get a Banh Mi for later after I finish my pho!

Craving for some pho the past few days and I just had to get some. The place had ample parking and inside had ample seating. Well, it was a mid-afternoon Tuesday. Staff were attentive and I was helped immediately. Take out orders are taken at the cashier and I got my food within 5 minutes. Smelled great when I opened it. The soup was blazing hot. I never ordered pho take away before so I didn't know what to expect. The rare beef was still frozen-esk? Not sure if other places does it that way, but it was interesting. By the time I poured the broth, the bowl became warm and not hot like as if you're eating at the restaurant. I ordered the medium bowl and that was a bit much for me. So I split it. Flavor was great and it hit the spot. Wish they gave me a little more herbs. The spring rolls was good as well! Fresh and not dry. Would definitely come back and do a sit in.

Wow, this place is really good!! I got the combination vermicelli bowl and it was delicious, one of my favorites! The service was lightning fast and the atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is bigger than most Vietnamese spots. If you're in the area and you're thinking about a good place to try, then come, it's very good. When I'm in the area I would absolutely come back and recommend. Happy eating!!

The Vietnamese food here is so delicious and fresh! Very generous portions! The service is awesome. The moment you step in the door. Multiple people wanting to help. The ambience was nice and relaxing. I love the Christmas decor. It just feels very cheery in there. I love it! Great experience! I highly recommend!

Do they only serve bun bo hue in the weekends?

Yes, Bun bo hue is a specialty off-menu item served only on weekends. To keep things spicy, they rotate between specials on the weekends. Sometimes they post in advance what the specials will be on their website (lovepho888.com).

Does anyone know if this restaurant uses MSG?

I'm not sure but I highly doubt it.

Dan Da is one of the few places that's gotten me to branch out, and I'm glad I did. The Bún Chả Hà Nội was probably my favorite. Putting everything together yourself made every bite a little different, and the pork was so flavorful. I also really enjoyed the coconut curry claypot with shrimp. It was rich and comforting without feeling too heavy. The shaken beef was cooked well, and the shrimp and crab mini rolls disappeared pretty quickly. I like that the menu has dishes you don't see everywhere. It makes coming here feel a little different from your average Vietnamese restaurant. Already looking forward to trying something new the next time I'm back.

The broth was on the lighter side and lacked depth, and the chicken itself was dry and a bit tough to chew. Service was a bit hit or miss. It was busy when I came in, which is understandable, but when I went up to pay, I was ignored while the woman at the counter continued talking with her family.
