Finding hair in your food is unacceptable. Finding it in soup and telling us not to come back makes it worse. I was dining here with my cousin and midway through her bowl of pho she found hair in the soup. That immediately killed our appetite. They initially offered to take half off the meal, claiming she had eaten half already. Finding it "halfway through" does not make it acceptable. This is a liquid dish. You cannot see everything right away. A customer finding hair in their food is not an inconvenience to the restaurant. It is a sanitation failure. They then said they would comp it, but followed that by telling us not to come back again. That shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Mistakes happen but how you handle them is what matters and poor customer service is a choice. There was no sincere apology and unacceptable how they handled a food safety issue. This will gladly be the last time I go there and I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Immediately Disguised!!

Pho Tai Medium Rare temp on the tenderloin is odd, it works though meat was very tender. The broth had excellent flavor without the hoisin sauce that was missing from the bag. I was also missing the basil and jalapeños. I think the cashier needs to make better notes on the order. The absolute best part of the pho is the noddles were homemade!!! This makes this place different than all the others in the area, not sure it warrants the 40% markup compared to the others though. I love fresh noddles over boxed any day and would definitely get this again. Vietnamese Chicken Wings Crispy outside with a moist inside. The pickled veggies were on the sweeter side, I'm not a fan of sweet veggies. The sauce drizzle on the wings was good. I enjoyed them and would get them again. Shaky Beef w/ Sweet Peppers & Onions The beef was nice and tender, the portion seems a little skimpy for the price point. The peppers were on the mushy side. All in all it had good flavor with a bit of spice that hits at the end. I would get this again. Decor The inside is very beautiful. Extremely comfy seats. Service Strange encounter when I tried to order veggies I had to specify which ones, not sure if it was just the cashier not familiar with this type of substitution or specific to this place. I also requested no bean sprouts and was told they are on the side, again a weird interaction. I'm a veteran with Pho, I don't want to waste something I'm not going to eat which is why I order without bean sprouts. Strange that I had to explain that to the cashier. Never in all my years have I had to explain why I didn't want something in my order. Business needs to work on that, this young girl was not the best first impression. While the food was really good, the whole overall experience did not meet the feed my soul status. I would still go again, for the sole reason of the fresh homemade noodles in their Pho. I'm a sucker for freshly made noodles.

I visited this place with friends last week. The restaurant is huge and beautiful. I definitely wasn't expecting an authentic Vietnamese restaurant to be in a shopping center. The service was good. Justin and his colleagues took care of our large group. We tried several appetizers- fish cakes, skewers and fried summer rolls. I ordered a tomato based noodle dish filled with seafood and blood pork. The soup was huge and shared it with a friend. My friend ordered the steak sandwich and came with a cast iron grill. We basically had to make our own sandwich. This dish is only for dine in. Everything was good and the servers were prompt and accommodating.

I recently came back here for lunch with some friends, and everything was just as delicious as last time! A few of my friends ordered pho and shaky beef, both of which they loved. I went with the Bahn Mi Special, which was served on a sizzling plate with steak and eggs. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the eggs added the perfect richness. It was served alongside a roll that was crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside--absolutely perfect. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. The restaurant itself is stunning, with modern decor and sleek marbled tables that give the space a stylish vibe. Overall, everything was top-notch, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back soon!

This place is legit. I asked for extra spice on my bun bo hue and they delivered! They even gave me a few thai chilis. Their prices a little higher than what I'm used to, but BBH did not disappoint! It tasted spicey with a deep meaty flavor. It even came with some blood jelly. This pho place also serves cocktails. Pretty sweet spot for a date night.

You are always nicely greeted when entering. Then you see Beautiful Pristine Marble all over including around the elevated booths which are very comfortable. It's a very calm place to dine. The food is great!

Hungry after 24hr fast, and what do I do? Yes, Pho Dena indeed. My first time and it won't be my last. Located at the Lakeshore Plaza, the menu is loaded with photos and descriptions. Options are plenty though I wish claypots were available. My son loved his Pho Dena Special and he and I shared our bahn mi halves. I enjoyed my heaping bowl of Saigon Special. Bowls come out piping hot and loaded. Broth is excellent and I appreciate they do not skimp on the proteins and accouterments... extra onions, cilantro are bonus. The banh mi are on the small side and pickled veggies were sparse; the bo and nem nuong were ample and flavors are fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive! Ambience was bright and the space was very clean. Access is available for all, and caution booth spaces on the far right have a step up. This is one happy Elite to have Pho Dena. I can't wait to come back soon! Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều, Pho Dena!

Pho Dena is one of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. I've had many a meal here and every visit is such a warm & welcoming experience. The service is truly exceptional every. single. time. The owner, Frank, & his staff are very kind and friendly. He genuinely makes an effort to interact with customers, makes thoughtful menu recommendations and provides great service. I think it's a rarity to find restaurants where the owners can connect with customers, provide excellent service and have delicious food as well. I personally find the food to be perfect in taste, flavor and quality. Of course, I have my favorites, specifically the Shaky Beef, Grilled Beef, Grilled Skewer Platter, the Phở Gà, and the Mango Sticky Rice. 100% recommend giving them a try. Thank you for always providing a great experience!!

2 stars because the venue is well decorated and the furniture is very comfortable. My friend and I were seated right away, the place was fairly empty. The waiter provided us menus, then water. So far, so good. I perused the menu, going directly to the Bun options - I'm not a pho person. Essentially pho is soup I have to doll up to make edible, so I may as well eat that at home. However, Bun is delicious! That said, Pho Dena's Bun options were really limited, only 3 total. I only wanted a version with the grilled pork, but that didn't exist. The Bún Chả Hà Nội was the closest I could find, but it had "pork patties" in the description. I didn't know what that was (sounded like a breakfast meat) so I asked the server, and he said it was good. So I ordered that. I was super surprised when the Bun came out and it was on a plate. I've never seen Bun served on a plate - it's always been in a huge bowl before. I asked the server for a bowl and one was brought out to me shortly. I dumped the contents of the plate into the bowl along with the leafy greens and fish sauce. To start, I did not like the pork patties, so I picked those out after just one bite. And the leafy greens were too big and aggressively flavored to be edible. I picked those out too. The noodles, regular pork, and sauce were good though. We waited around quite a bit after completing our meal since our server disappeared. We asked for the check as soon as we saw him, paid, and got out of there. For the cost of that Bun, I'd prefer to go somewhere it is served properly right away and all the meal is edible, not just parts. Will not return.

Totally upscale pho in Pasadena! This place is brightly lit room with high end flooring and furnishings. The wait staff are professional but not over talkative. They welcome you to the restaurant and quickly bring you refreshing water and a menu to your table. The atmosphere here is laid back with hints of glamour. The cleanliness of this place is one of the cleanest places I have seen. I ordered the crispy summer rolls and the Pho Saigon Special. The crispy summer rolls came out and hot and super crispy. The pork inside was tender and very tasty. 8/10 As for the pho, at $22 dollars a bowl it was worth every cent penny. The broth was fragrant and had that little bit of oil sheen that good pho has. The big winner were the meats and noodles. The meats were perfectly prepared and tender, tasting super fresh not that frozen taste you sometimes get a your local pho shop. The noodles were wider than most and swam around in the bowl effortlessly not like most noodles that clump at the bottom of the bowl that require you to pry them apart before you can eat them. 9.9/10 The side of spouts and basil was fresh and fragrant. Overall this ranks as one of the best bowls of Pho I have had worldwide. Give them a try you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!

I ate some of the best Pho I've ever had. I stumbled upon it thanks to TikTok (because, really, how else does one find great spots these days?), and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I ordered their Pho Dena (one of the best bowls I've had in a long time), their wings (I still think about them till this day), and a cocktail. The food and service were great. The staff, however, were absolutely wonderful. Super helpful, patiently answering our barrage of questions. Honestly, it was hard to choose because everything sounded so good! Truthfully, if they step up their cocktail game, we're looking at perfection.Felt like they just mixed some things together without knowing how to actually make a decent cocktail.

A bowl of hot Pho on a cold day is one of the best thing someone could ask for. This spot is a hole in the wall in a strip mall out in the middle of nowhere. Sorry Pasadena, but this area of Maryland just seems like way out there. That said, I wouldn't mind the drive for more delicious authentic Vietnamese food and excellent customer service! My mom got hit with the Facebook ads and wanted to check it out. So of course, we ordered all sorts of things for our first try. Vietnamese Fried Chicken Wings - delicious! crunchy outside with tender, juicy meat. The flavor was good and the fish sauce wasn't overpowering. Beef Papaya Salad - refreshing! the papaya was the perfect ripeness. sauce was just the right sweet and sour tang with a little bit of spice. And the peanuts were the perfect crunch. Shrimp Toast - this was a hit among the table. This wasn't your typical Chinese carry-out dish. The shrimp mixture is baked atop a baguette type vessel. Shrimp was creamy and the spicy chili sauce complimented it well. Com Tam Suon Bi Cha Trung - broken rice with pork chop, pork skin, egg custard and a sunny side up egg. This dish was a little meh. The pork chop was tough; pork skin's flavor was overwhelming, but we enjoyed the savory egg custard. Now, we ordered the Pho Saigon special. And I was already full from the appetizer so I opted for the child portion of the extra tenderloin in soup. Broth was clean and savory. Usually, I need to add a little more hoisin sauce or sriracha, but the broth was so good, I didn't need to add much more. Meat was tender. **You MUST ask for their special pepper paste (it's yellow/red in color). I am not sure what it is called, but the guy just brought it out for us to try and we fell in love. It was spicy, garlicky and really made our meal. We also ordered the Fresh Mango and Sticky Rice. One of us has a mango allergy, but the kitchen was able to separate the mango items so that she could still try it. The mango was unripe, but the sticky rice was different than how I've seen it in other restaurants. The rice is green (maybe pandan flavor?) and cooked with desiccated coconut pieces for a different texture. The coconut cream sauce was on point. The interior was not what I was expecting. Very sleek inside, almost like a well lit night club. Overall, we had a great experience, even with one of the dishes being just ok. I look forward to seeing this place grow and add more options to the menu.

Ordered two Pho saigon specials that's costed $30 each on door dash and totaled about $80. Half the meat was missing no brisket or meatballs. Very disappointed . Don't order on an app go in if you can or you will be shorted . I wasn't feeling well and thought this would help but this caused more stress

Since the location I typically grab my broth from crushed my heart when they told me they no longer sold broth when I tried to pick some up on my way home Friday, I had to find an alternative. Not being able to leave the house today, I was fortunate my mother wanted to bring me something to help me feel better. I instantly remembered Man Vs Pho and ran to Yelp first to look at recommendations as well as pictures. I then went to their website to check out the menu and was pleased to find they offered the broth by itself in a 32 oz container of either beef, chicken or vegetable and I quickly added it to my list. I was expecting my mother to call me when she got there but the next thing I knew, she was telling me to open the door. I love she didn't have a problem with ordering and she informed me that it was nice inside and she jokingly rubbed the Buddhas belly and head for good luck. She did say they didn't have any takeout menus at the counter to take with her since she was curious about the food and wanted to try some also. They also didn't put one in the bag either. The broth definitely did is job. I almost passed out after drinking about 75% of it. Steaming hot and burnt my tongue just as wonderful as I could have asked for. It was a little bit on the salty side so I did have to hydrate myself throughout and also why I couldn't finish all of it. The death of the flavor wasn't as intense as others I've tried but I would have to try their beef broth to actually compare it to others. They really came through in the clutch and I'm so glad for that. There's definitely on my list to try again so that I can see if I have a new Pho spot.

Man vs Pho, although tiny is size, packs a flavor punch in their dishes. They offer a variety of phos or if you'd rather create you own concoction you can do that as well. There are ban mi sandwiches at a great price for $7.99, appetizers, and even some cold coffee drinks with jelly pieces. With only two seats at a tiny counter-like table I figured the 30-minute drive back home was probably best to really enjoy my food. I ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken Pho, since I've never seen that as a pho option before, and the Chicken Spring Rolls. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed when I opened my bag to smell all of the deliciousness. Everything came packaged so nicely in their containers and the portion sizes were very generous. You're definitely able to get two portions of pho with the rice noodles they give you. The broth alone was so flavorful and comforting and the garlic butter chicken was a great choice for the protein. The chicken spring rolls are a must! Juicy, flavorful, and appetizing with a tasty little dipping sauce on the side. Needless to say, I'm literally thinking about my next trip to Man vs Pho as I write this review.

The service is always attentive and fast with consistently good pho and a reasonable price. They always have plenty of siracha and other condiments. Check this place out as it's the best in the area. It wasn't very busy when we got here. Maybe one or two other tables. We were seated immediately. I like variety so I got the #5. Tho I'm used to it being a #1. Maybe that's why there is a 5 in the name? it was a good sized bowl. Came with a good amount of Rare Steak-Brisket-Flank Meatball-Tendon-Tripe. The broth had pretty good flavor as well. Of course I amped up the heat with a bunch of sriracha. The rolls were okay. I found the wrapper a little hard. Maybe they were made earlier and sat for a lil bit? The dipping sauce was also a touch too sweet for me. If in the area, not a solid spot to grab a bowl of pho. REVIEW #3879
