This is our go to carry out spot when we don't feel like cooking dinner. You can customize bowls or salad with lots of veggies, so it always makes you feel like you are eating something healthy. My hubby likes the spicy chicken with the spicy sauce and all the kimchi toppings. I go for the mild chicken, and the portions are very large. I would give it 3 stars. I ordered the bulgogi burger and sweet spicy chicken. The bulgogi burger itself was fine, would rate 3 to 3.5 stars. However the fries that came with it isn't edible and looks & tastes like it's been fried twice for a prolonged period of time. Didn't touch the fries after trying it once. Some of the best Asian food I've had in the Pasadena area! The service is very friendly and hospitable too. On top of that, the food is very affordable, most main dishes costing between $8 - $13 which is super reasonable, and the portions are plentiful for what you pay for! I got the Kimchi Fried Rice, which comes with a pretty fried egg, and you can choose which meat you'd like to go in the fried rice: I chose the spicy chicken. The dish was super tasty and flavorful, savory from the kimchi, spicy & sweet from the gochujang paste, all the key flavors in a good kimchi fried rice! Mellow out the spice with the golden egg yolk, and it's a great combination. There was enough food that I had to take some leftovers home for a future snack! I also had one of their new items: the Kimbap Korean Sushi Roll, which you could customize what ingredients you added, I had the bulgogi beef in mine. The roll was presented as the entire roll, as opposed to it being cut up into slices. It was alright, not as flavorful as the kimchi fried rice but perhaps I could've used more sauce to dip it in. He was incredibly patient, answering all of our questions and suggested things he himself especially liked. We ended up both getting Tiger bowls with noodles and on his suggestion, we both got a fried egg on top. He kindly gave us samples of the beef & pork and some of the sauces. While we were eating, he came over to check on us & told us a little about himself and his family. For under $30, we each had large bowls with the added on eggs and shared a soda. I'm sorry, this may be petty of me, but I am starting to get real annoyed with how much they mess up my order. We have ordered delivery from them 5 times now and this is the 2ND time that my part of the order has been messed up. We order off of GrubHub and the menu item clearly states "Bibimbap with fried egg," and TWICE now they have forgotten the fried egg! Why is that in the title if you can't even remember that!? Today they also forgot the sauce on my husband's dish so he said it was very dry and we really didn't have any sauce in the house that would have made it more appetizing. Aside from today and the last time they forgot my egg, everything else we have always ordered has been correct. To be honest, they would have 4 stars from me based on food quality, and I was able to forgive it the first time it happened and still give them a 5-star review. But now that it's happened a second time I am very frustrated and annoyed and docking them down to 3 stars. The thing I look forward to the most in this dish is the egg, I feel like Bibimbap is not complete without it. I'd eat from them again, but I guess I'll always have to include in the notes to remind them not to leave the egg out anytime I order this for delivery again. The other things we have tried that have been great are the red tiger bowl with mild pork (the spicy one is quite spicy my husband says) and shrimp. You get a larger portion if you order the noodles, but my husband says the rice tastes better. He also always gets the shrimp tempura appetizer he loves. I've tried the spring rolls, japche rolls and the dumplings. The dumplings I am skeptical about because I'm a vegetarian and have ordered the trio with my friend who eats meat and there's a chewy part in there that I can't tell is meat or not and they have it in all the different types of dumplings including the meat ones so I don't know what it could be. It doesn't seem soft enough to be an egg or tofu. So I'm not sure the vegetable dumpling is even vegetarian or not. I'd like to try the ramen and the ko-ko fries one day as long as the ramen isn't a bone broth. But the fries would probably be better eaten then and there and not having delivered since it could get soggy with all the toppings. I have tried both the gochujang and the red tiger spicy sauce and both are actually pretty spicy and I love spicy food, so be cautious. Again, I do like the food here but make sure they get your order right by specifying in notes or something if you're ordering it for delivery. read more

The layout is kind of confusing cause we thought we were going to be served but you order everything at the register and then pick up when it's ready and can bring it back to your table. The bulgogi burger was HUGE, and very messy. But who doesn't love a messy burger? It was delicious, had the sauce of bulgogi, burger cooked well! We ordered the spicy japchae rolls, kids shrimp basket, and bulgogi burger with French fries. Their fries remind me of college because they're extra crispy like the dining hall (LOL). The japchae rolls were also fried to perfection; crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside! I think next time I would just get the mild ones, but boyfriend liked spicy! The kids shrimp basket was tasty as well and a really big portion! The bulgogi burger was so flavorful and huge! You definitely get your money's worth here and everything on the menu looks amazing. The food was OK. I ordered it for delivery and it came hot. Based on other reviews before I decided to order possibly they were just having a bad day. The mild ramen broth had little flavor. The noodles had less "pull and chew" that I enjoy from most wavy ramen noodles, and were just a bit too doughy for me. This may mean they make them in-house. The spring rolls tasted just like freezer spring rolls you get at an Aldi or Lidl; slight crunch on the outside, doughy on inside, and little filling. I took one bite and the rest were thrown away, which was disappointing since I love spring rolls and paid just over $7 for the order of the small 4 rolls. I finally turned to my last item in hopes of recovery: mild chicken wings. They were mild in spice, but even milder in flavor. There is a hint of teriyaki, but still pretty bland. Oddly, the wings were the best thing in the order, but I only ate a couple. Overall, I wouldn't jump to recommend this restaurant, however if I were with friends who wanted to go and they liked them, I would give them another chance. If I ever do have their food again, I'm hopeful that my experience will match others who rated highly, and can update this review with higher stars, noting this meal as an isolated incident. read more

I'm so happy that there is a good Korean place in my neighborhood. They have a variety of options, but my husband and I always stick with the bulgogi bowls. It's chipotle-style, where you can choose your toppings and sauces. All of their flavors are authentic and they give you a generous serving (I cannot ever finish my bowl in one sitting). The toppings (or side dishes) are all very fresh and you can make a mean bibimbop. The extra plus is how friendly the ladies always are and service is top notch. My first experience at Red Tiger will be my last! I ordered dinner and everything looked fine but once I started to eat I was greeted with a surprise! A fly was nestled in the shrimp that was placed in my ramen bowl. Now I am not oblivious to nature or things happening by accident, however my issue comes when I take my entire uneaten meal back. I placed the fly still nestled in the shrimp in a small ziplock baggy and the uneaten Roman back in the bag and drive back. Nice crispy brown bits and rich flavor. Their kimchi is not the funky fermented to death type, it's the fresher tasting type, which is the only kind I will eat. My dinner date and I ordered so much, we had to take most of the kimchi fried rice home. The owner topped us off with additional kimchi and gave us tips on how to reheat it.
