I had driven past this location many times but never had a chance to go in to try them. Pho is my go to nourishment when I start feeling a little under the weather. Since the location I typically grab my broth from crushed my heart when they told me they no longer sold broth when I tried to pick some up on my way home Friday, I had to find an alternative. Not being able to leave the house today, I was fortunate my mother wanted to bring me something to help me feel better. I instantly remembered Man Vs Pho and ran to Yelp first to look at recommendations as well as pictures. I then went to their website to check out the menu and was pleased to find they offered the broth by itself in a 32 oz container of either beef, chicken or vegetable and I quickly added it to my list. I was expecting my mother to call me when she got there but the next thing I knew, she was telling me to open the door. I love she didn't have a problem with ordering and she informed me that it was nice inside and she jokingly rubbed the Buddhas belly and head for good luck. She did say they didn't have any takeout menus at the counter to take with her since she was curious about the food and wanted to try some also. They also didn't put one in the bag either. The broth definitely did is job. I almost passed out after drinking about 75% of it. Steaming hot and burnt my tongue just as wonderful as I could have asked for. It was a little bit on the salty side so I did have to hydrate myself throughout and also why I couldn't finish all of it. The death of the flavor wasn't as intense as others I've tried but I would have to try their beef broth to actually compare it to others. They really came through in the clutch and I'm so glad for that. There's definitely on my list to try again so that I can see if I have a new Pho spot. read more

I'm not sure what took me so long to make it to Man vs Pho, but I'm glad I've finally had the chance to experience the food. Man vs Pho, although tiny is size, packs a flavor punch in their dishes. They offer a variety of phos or if you'd rather create you own concoction you can do that as well. There are ban mi sandwiches at a great price for $7.99, appetizers, and even some cold coffee drinks with jelly pieces. With only two seats at a tiny counter-like table I figured the 30-minute drive back home was probably best to really enjoy my food. I ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken Pho, since I've never seen that as a pho option before, and the Chicken Spring Rolls. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed when I opened my bag to smell all of the deliciousness. Everything came packaged so nicely in their containers and the portion sizes were very generous. You're definitely able to get two portions of pho with the rice noodles they give you. The broth alone was so flavorful and comforting and the garlic butter chicken was a great choice for the protein. The chicken spring rolls are a must! Great experience ordering carryout from this restaurant. There summer rolls were delicious. Those skimpy for the price as it was almost $8 for two summer rolls. We each built our own bowl of pho. We got the same exact things and it came in its own quality plastic container which we were able to use to eat our pho once it had its broth in it with all the vegetables and meat. The amount of broth provided for our two bowls was impressive. The food was really good with lots of meat and very tasty. It was the first time ordering from this restaurant and it won't be the last. I haven't had Pho in years but pregnancy cravings cant be denied. I was driving by and decided to stop in though I had not been there before. Its a small restaurant that offers take out only. You select your noddle, proteins, toppings and sauces. Its all written out at the counter making it easy to make your selections. The cashier was so kind and patient as I inquired about spice level and various sauces. My total was under $15 and the portion allows for at least 2 meals. I also appreciated how hot and well packaged the food was. I got home about an hour after ordering the food and nothing spilled during the ride home and the food was still warm. THEY'RE BACK! I cannot tell you how devastated I was when I heard manvspho left us during the pandemic. I considered quitting my job and making it my life's mission to bring this place back. I almost invested my life savings to reopen this place to be able to enjoy the flavorful broth of joy. That's how good it is, and I'm not exaggerating. But now my favorite food place of all time is back and I've already gone an embarrassing amount of times. I would definitely consider this to be a "hole in the wall" type of place. As a pho connoisseur, I had to try all of the pho places when I moved to Baltimore. It's a very small restaurant that has a fast causal vibe, so you wouldn't expect anything special. But I am so grateful I decided to order from here one day because that day changed my life and how I view food. And to be completely honest, most places are alright, they do the entrée justice with some flavorful broth and yummy add-ins. However, this place REINVENTS THE WHEEL with their variations in their recipes still maintaining the integrity of what pho should be. My go to order is the Special Chicken (which is a pan fried rotisserie chicken in a homemade sauce) in Spicy Chicken Broth. These seemingly simple variations add so much to a bowl of pho, letting it come alive as you slurp it down. The Special Chicken has a small flavorful kick to it to compliment the broth and the toppings, and the Spicy Chicken Broth is bursting with flavor (although I do have to say it's not hot spicy, it is just so full of flavor and spices). I just need everyone to have this incredible dining experience, I could eat this stuff everyday if I could. And for the price, you are getting like two or three meals in one bowl! While I was sick, I asked my coworkers to recommend a local soup spot and MULTIPLE people said manvspho, hands down. They were so right, this pho is the sh*t. I always order it spicy, I always order the fatty juice to add (it's only like $1) and I typically order the steak. Last night, I ordered the special chicken and it might be my new favorite! Came here since it was the only pho place with outdoor seating. Really wasn't expecting much since I'm Vietnamese and this place doesn't have the typical Vietnamese vibe but it was really good! My 7 yo daughter was craving pho so we came here and ordered the pho with steak and beefballs!! The broth was quite fragrant and tasty and perfectly seasoned. It really didn't need much more but I like to add hoisin and sriracha and lime and jalapeños and basil!! Which was all there. My daughter loved it and asked for more! Working a cold rainy Dragonboat race = need for noodle soup. And thus we ended up here. This is a no frills place where you get your pho and your items from a window. It's mostly self sit, but apparently you can take your food to the pizza/wings place next door to eat if the seats are occupied in the small shop. This was JUST what we needed, broth was flavorful and the seafood one (boy got this) was just as good. Not bad, but overall flat. We got one beef brisket and steak pho and one vegetarian. Both really needed something more. The broth was just missing something (definitely salt, and probably some of the other aromatics common in such broth... maybe not enough star anise?) and that just killed the whole vibe. Add enough sriracha and hoisin and it's passable, but I've definitely had better pho, especially from right around the corner. We also tried the summer roll and the banh mi sandwiches (one chicken, one tofu). For the price, the banh mi is a steal, though it continues the overall underwhelming flavor; I think the tofu nuggets were much better seasoned than the chicken. The summer roll had a nice peanut dipping sauce but otherwise isn't much to write home about. Like many Vietnamese places, the food is cheap and the portion sizes generous. But when held up against some of the other local pho places within a mile, I think Man vs. Pho needs to up their flavor game. read more

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about manvspho! They have been my go to takeout pho place since quarantine started. I have ordered from there about 3 times and I haven't been disappointed. All of the noodles, meat, and vegetables come in a large container. The meat was placed in a plastic bag. The other vegetables are in a small container as well. I really appreciate how all of the ingredients for the pho are separated. Even the broth comes in a separate container. Every time I have ordered pho from there, the broth has arrived still warm. I barely have to warm it up. I typically order one spicy broth and one regular. The spicy broth is pretty hot so I would be careful for those who can't handle too much spice. Both are delicious in my opinion. Most of the time I have leftovers, that's how much pho you are given! I would highly recommend trying this place if your missing pho during this pandemic. I also ordered cold cut Banh mi and Sea Salt coffee with coffee jelly. Noodle bowl portion was big! It was definitely 2 servings for me. The spicy beef broth wasn't really spicy for me but the taste was good. Banh mi was yummy and the sea salt coffee was delicious. The chả giò are not spring rolls, they are Chinese egg rolls (which is what the cashier called them). The phở is not as good as pho-flavored instant noodles. The garlic pork tasted weird and awful. My son will usually eat anything but he refused to eat that garbage. Maybe they should make it grilled pork like most of the other Viet restaurants. I have been craving some Pho so I found these guys . I had a Banh Mi that was probably the juiciest I've ever had . The meat was perfect the roll had a nice crunch and the veggies were perfect. I also ordered a bowl of their special pho with a Garlic fried pork chop and they gave me 2 . The broth was flavorful and a good portion of all the normal ingredients. This little pho restaurant focuses on take out but if you're lucky you might be able to eat in at the counter table they have. Despite the small space, the food is good and authentic. We had the pho and vermicelli noodles and the portions (meat, noodles, garnishes) were very generous. We also tried the summer rolls which included your usual shrimp, noodles and lettuce and the dipping sauce was pretty on point. While eating in, we noticed A LOT of take out orders.
