If you're looking for authentic pho you definitely got to try pho horns. I do gotta say what they're lacking in customer services makes up for their delicious food. My ratings are based on service, taste, and value. Taste: I ordered a small beef noodle soup with sliced steak for $11.95 and a must have that's not listed on their menu is the Scooby shrimp which are $8.95. These shrimps are so good you'll definitely want to order 2! (Our waiter actually told me to squeeze some lime on top and add a little bit of chili oil and LET ME TELL YOU, that was a game changer) The small beef noodle soup is so flavorful and I appreciate how it comes with all the fixing on the side like lime, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and chili oil. The actual soup itself had white onion, green onion and surprisingly a good amount of steak. The only take away is the water. It taste like tap water which was off putting since it left a weird taste in my mouth. Service: My waiter was Tara. I loved how she provided me a recommendation on how to eat the scooby shrimps, However I was not impressed with the service. My drinks were not refilled, my food took a while for it to come out, and I was really hoping to try some desserts but instead was just brought the tab and wasn't asked if there was anything els I may be interested in. I honestly was disappointed I didn't get to try something sweet. Value: The value of my dinner was $20.09 I do feel like you are getting your moneys worth. My soup was a decent size, the amount of toppings and ingredients in the soup is definitely worth $11.95 and I hope you already know how I feel about the shrimps especially the new way im going to eat them is definitely worth you hoping in your car and giving them a try. I hate to say that this is some of the worst food I've ever had, of any kind. I've eaten a lot of Vietnamese food, so we were looking forward to this, but I really don't understand how so many people are raving about this place. We had the fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, short ribs, and lemongrass beef with rice. Of those the only one that was edible was the fried spring rolls. The fresh spring rolls were extremely dry overall, and contained the driest chicken I've ever seen. The short ribs were also dry and didn't taste good. The lemongrass beef was very strange -- a watery, very sweet and very salty sauce, and the beef itself was terrible. We didn't have the pho, which some people seem to like, but unfortunately there's no way we're going back after this. Additionally, we called the order in, and when my partner went to pick it up someone else had taken it. He had to wait for them to make it again. read more

We always get takeout because the ambience of the restaurant isn't for us. Ordering can be a challenge. Once they didn't see our order through their website so they had to start it when we arrived to pick it up. Another time we called to place an order and the phones weren't working (we ordered pickup via door dash instead). I love their vegetable soup (#81 on the menu) and their tofu salad. Went back to Pho Horns last night. The food was really good once again. We had the summer rolls and Thai chicken wings to start. The chicken wings were perfect, crunchy and crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. The summer rolls are always delicious. I have the beef pho , I absolutely love the broth on a cool cold night. It hit the spot my wife tried a different dish like I said in the description it was under the vermicelli noodles and it had a couple pieces of crispy shrimp, pork, and a fried spring roll. Our waiter was fine. My only complaint was the music was really loud and it was like you were in a dance nightclub. It was very distracting, made me a little uncomfortable. Great lil hidden gem if you are in the mood or in need of a big bowl of Pho! Their small is LARGE & the ingredients are FRESH! You always get welcomed in the second you cross the threshold...they have maximized the seating to get as many people in as can be; but you also have your space, too. Tip: try to get seating against the walls (ESPECIALLY IF IT IS WINDY/COLD) to avoid some of the drafts that come in each time door is opened & sweep through the tables in the middle. read more

Talk about a hidden gem! Located in a strip mall plaza with plenty of parking , Pho Horns is a must try if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food. Unfortunately I did not try the pho but I did have a rice plate. I ordered the sesame chicken which came with white rice. The chicken chunks were crispy and covered with a yummy sauce. The broccoli that came with it was fresh and crunchy. We also ordered the chicken dumplings (steamed ravioli) that were yummy and also hot and fresh. This place and me have it BAD for each other. I literally cant go that often because its far but its SO GOOD SOO GOOOOD. I love the food here and they PACK everything with flavor and spice. Its super busy and there are times when the food will take awhile. And I've had times where my shrimp is overcooked. But the times I've had good food from there fare outshine the slight inconsistency in quality. We ordered on DoorDash after a night of drinking and needing some recovery pho. I thought the pho was decent and a little too sweet of a broth, but for the area since this isn't California or anything, it'll satisfy the craving. The spring rolls were pretty good, wish they had a pork and shrimp option, only saw chicken and shrimp. As for the pho I ordered the Dac Biet aka house special with all the meats. Some of the meats were better than others. My tai beef was cut too thick, so it was hard to chew on, but other meats like the brisket was good. As you know me by, if there's pho wherever my travels take me, I will try go and try it (if they cook it, I will come!) I wasn't expecting much, but hoping, and had Vietnamese and on my last day. We started with fried egg rolls which weren't bad. I like it that it's served with a side of noodles. The nuoc man was decent. Then came the banh xeo which was god-awful as there was no crunch. That's the essence of banh xeo. It was so soggy indicative that it was most likely deep fried in a pool of oil. Hardly any proteins but filled with a ton of bean sprouts. Next was the bun bo hue and I'm not sure if they sent out the right dish. It was more like bo kho dilutes to make broth. The meats used was not ones for bun bo hue. Now for the pho. It's not pho I'm used to in Bolsa but could satisfy the pho craving, especially on a cold night. This bowl was massive much bigger than ones in Bolsa. Hell of a lot of meats. I only finished half. If the broth was a bit more flavorful, I could have maybe eaten 3/4 of the bowl. The staff, not sure if any were Vietnamese (at least not our server), are quick but not so friendly. At least pretend to be nice and smile. The others, Asians, didn't even bother to give us the time or day. Of the dishes we had, I'd say the bun bo hue had the most flavor. Stay away from the banh xeo. I've been told this is the best Vietnamese joint in the Providence area. There are other options but you'll need to try for yourself. This is our go to for Vietnamese food! The vermicelli noodle bowls and pho are delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We usually order take out and as vegetarians get the vermicelli noodle bowl or pho with tofu instead of meat, but they don't have tofu listed on the menu which makes it a little difficult with adding notes for the swap but it's worth it and they always do it without issue. The peanut sauce is also incredible but you have to ask for it and some times they just forget it which is sad because it pairs perfectly with the tofu. When we go in person the place is always packed--clearly a crowd fave! It's nothing fancy, just good food. read more

They make some mostly authentic dishes and I've always enjoyed my meals. 1) crispy spring rolls- a must order. It's so crispy and delicious. The dipping sauce is great too. 2) #20 beef pho- I got a small and it was pretty filling! They have a large and extra large for the hangry. But their pho is good! They give you all the veggies and sauces to season it. Extra spicy is the way to go 3) My bf got the #28 beef noodle stew. It was really hearty and Richer than the pho. You can add the veggies and sauces to it as well but it's already pretty tasty on its own. 4) I also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee. It's a wow! Super bold and delicious. Why does Pho Horn have to be all the way in Pawtucket and not have 10 locations around RI? Everyone in-the-know knows it's the best pho around bar none. Our visit always involves three things: crispy spring rolls dunked and drenched in sauce. Beef pho with all the fixings. And the grilled pork chops again with the special sauce. My friend is obsessed with Pho, and after trying all over the state, he said this is his favorite in Rhode Island. How can you NOT try it after that? We arrived on a Sunday night around 7pm. It was definitely crowded. We originally had five people in a booth with a chair on the end. There was an empty four top next to a two seater with a couple. The waitress asked the couple if they would exchange with a booth. They agreed and we ended up at a table for 6 which was great! All of us ordered Dac Biet, which is the normal Pho. One of us ordered Xu Lua, which is the extra large. Wow! Not sure how anyone can eat that much haha. The prices are great, too. Dac Biet is only $12! Extra Large is $15. The broth is absolutely flavorful. It's definitely the best I have ever tried. The meat was decent, I may like other meat from other Pho placed I tried just a little more. But overall, it was tasty! The table also shared summer rolls. The peanut sauce is probably the best I have ever tried. It was thick and very flavorful. For dessert, we had bubble tea. I tried Taro (not pictured). The Spring Rolls are very different served with a thick peanut sauce. I also think there was chicken inside. Then the Thai chix wings were sweet and spicy. The food here is amazing! Not on the menu is an item called "scooby shrimp" that makes a great small appetizer. The boba is very flavorful and all the food was hot and warm. It is usually quite busy but after trying the food I understand why! The servers are very kind and check on the tables often. Didn't want to add this review but owner needs to take notice. As a consistent customer for years I have now seen a big difference in the the product being put out. Not only have the prices gone up but the portions and sizing have gotten smaller. Bubble tea for 5.95 in an 8oz cup that used to be almost double in size! Soup is watery, not a lot of meat or vegetables anymore. They charge for extra sauce now. Spare ribs were horrible fatty and fewer. Like come on guys! We have been going there for years! We made you be the business you are today! When we no longer think you're the best then you need to step up and stop skimming from the portions, bad business practices. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Providence lol. This is a great traditional pho spot. I'm from Houston where pho is abundant and I've tried many places in the East Coast that just don't seem to hit the spot, however this one place can do it! Tastes just like the pho from back home, and has good prices too. Even their Horn's fried rice is really amazing. Big plus is their huge parking lot, and we usually take a stroll over in Ocean State Job Lot afterwards to walk off all the pho we eat! I do not know why this place is still open. The broth of the pho is watery 0 flavor. Even if it was on the greasier side atleast it would give it flavor. The Summer Rolls were different than what I expected.. they had chicken in them and the peanut sauce was thick and sweet. I liked them. The Thai Chicken wings were delicious. Very crispy and flakey and it doesn't taste like the ones you buy at the supermarket. 3.) #19 Beef Noodle Soup with sliced steak, well done brisket, flank, tendon & tripe: Everything in the bowl was mediocre besides the noodles (cause it was thankfully al dente). The broth lacked depth of flavor. The meats were so well-done it was hard to chew. And the tendon, usually my favorite part of any dish, tasted super funky and was hard to chew. I'm pretty sure there was no tripe in my dish. Overall, this place didn't really hit the spot for my pho craving, but they've got a lot of good stuff on their menu that I'd be willing to come back for.
