Stopped by for some appetizers and dessert with my partner. We got the calamari, angel wings, and shrimp things. The calamari was our favorite and the sauces were really good. The chicken were our second favorite, and the shrimp wasn't our favorite. The mango sticky rice was really good, and the iced thai was amazing. First ever meal in Providence was a hit! Bee's Thai is likely to become one of my neighborhood staples. We got the Mango Red Curry (red curry paste, coconut milk, red and green bell pepper, mango) with vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, string bean) and lunch special Green Curry (green curry paste, coconut milk, eggplant, red and green bell pepper, bamboo, and basil ) with tofu. Both were savory and creamy deliciousness, green was sweeter than red. Tbh the mango was intriguing but unnecessary. The rice was well-cooked. I also always get Thai Iced Tea, which was classic here with good amount of tea flavor and sweetness (although we did wish there was less ice). The ambiance is casual: lots of seating and bright light. Service was fast and friendly. If you pay with cash, the final bill is a little lower (~$1.50). There's street parking around. 9/10 would recommend! read more

My first time here and it will not be my last. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Great price for the portions! Started with the chicken satay- oh my delicious! Also had the summer roll - you can just taste the freshness of the vegetables- yum! Then the fried dumpling - again the freshness just leaps out at you in flavor! For our meal I ordered cashew nut with shrimp- Amazing flavor and again freshness! Wife got the drunken noodles with chicken- again great flavor! Such great food! When I suggested to my family that we get Asian food- and they said "let's get Bee's but you're picking it up" I couldn't even complain about the 50-minute round trip! Their crab rangoons are some of the best- do not pass them up!! On this most recent visit I got the pineapple fried rice, and this is probably the second time I've had it. I got shrimp in it, and while there were only a few shrimps in it- it was still very tasty! The pineapple and carrots are perfectly cooked- not too hard- and the cashews add a nice crunch. And everything is very flavorful! Dining in? It's a small place and I've seen it get busy, so plan accordingly! There's a lot of windows, it's dim, good for a night out with a friend or with a group. It's on the corner of Ives street so it's street parking, but I'm usually able to find a spot on the side street! read more

Our server was attentive and the food came out pretty quick. I ordered the crispy duck and I will say it was really good the kale was so crispy I really enjoyed it. The pad thai was good as well. For dessert I ordered mango sticky rice and it was good as well just wish they added a bit more coconut sauce. I gave it 4 stars only because I wish they had more drink selection it was mainly beer and wine but other than that place is really good. read more

I almost never write reviews, but I took family to this restaurant yesterday after a very disappointing meal there years ago because I had been told it was good and it was the same-- expensive for badly flavored and totally uninspired food! I can't imagine why anyone would waste their money on it, especially as up the street at Champa the food is so delightful and skillfully prepared. read more

Ordered takeout for lunch today & when I picked up the amount came to more than I had anticipated. Note: YOU MUST SPECIFY YOU WANT THE LUNCH PORTION or they will charge you for dinner. The worker did say that the portion size was smaller for lunch but ‍ Also, there was a "NCA" (Non-Cash Adjustment) charge on my receipt. I wasn't aware of this charge but if you aren't paying with cash, expect to pay it. I didn't know this until I had already paid and I would have paid cash if I knew that! I know that it's only less than a dollar but I think it's sneaky of establishments to not disclose this at checkout. Otherwise, the food was good. I got the Red Curry with tofu, and added pineapple ($1 extra). May be back to Bee's in the future, but definitely will specify that I want the lunch portion and I be paying in cash! read more

Drunken noodles are amazing, prices are fair, and the service is good. Definitely recommend it.

This restaurant delivers consistently good Thai food. We have been coming for many years and their food is very good. These are some of the dishes we had.... - Bangkok chicken (sauteed chicken, cashews, onions, scallions, pineapple and mushroom pieces in a brown sauce), - Mango fresh roll appetizer (fresh mango, avocado, cucumber, carrots, mint and skinny noodles wrapped in a thin rice roll skin, comes with a sweet and sour sauce), - Pineapple fried rice ( steamed jasmine rice mixed with shrimp, pineapple, cashew nuts, carrots, raisins and curry powder), - Drunken noodles ( stir fried rice noodles with ground chicken, bamboo, carrots, bell peppers, and basil leaves cooked in a spicy sauce), - Brown Soy noodles (Wide rice noodles cooked with pork, broccoli and eggs in a brown sauce). The servings were of good size, I was full and the service was good. Staff is ok, not the best trained, not the most smiley, but ok. Definitely it could be improved. Came here on a Friday evening and the restaurant filled up quickly. We saw a few people sit down and then run across the street to the liquor store returning with a bottle of wine. I guess the restaurant has a BYOB policy. The waiter gave them wine glasses and wine opener. We had the Thai Iced Tea and it was perfect sweetness and mixture. I had the Beef Noodle Soup-A delicate Thai-style beef broth with tender beef, rice noodles, bean sprouts, fresh cilantro, and scallions. The broth was seasoned well. My husband had the Drunken Noodles-Stir-fried medium rice noodles with sliced bamboo, carrot, bell pepper, basil leaves, and ground chicken in a spicy chili sauce. The food was very flavorful. We were a little sad to see that medium rice noodles instead of broad rice noodles that is typically in drunken noodles was used. The Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango won our hearts. The mango was very fresh and the sweet sticky rice was perfect. Service was a little slow, because there were so many guests but the waiter was friendly. Looking forward to coming back to try some of their other dishes and maybe bringing our own bottle of wine. read more

Experience was just okay. Nothing too special but nothing horrible. Small dining area but food came out in a decent amount of time. I've never had drunken noodles with this type of noodle before so that threw me off. The food was good. Pad Thai was not the best as it lacked seasoning/taste. The food at Bee's is typical of what you'd expect from a local Thai restaurant, however the drunken noodles did catch me off guard as they used thin as opposed to wide rice noodles. I'm curious if they ran out and had to substitute, but regardless the flavors were great. We also got an order of the fresh summer rolls which were delicious and rolled perfectly tight. I do wish the dipping sauce had a bit more of a peanut flavor, but that's just my preference. The service was fast and our waiter was attentive and accommodating! If it's sunny out, sitting by the window is quite nice - the vibe inside is really warm and welcoming. I'm sure they're a great option for take out as well. read more

We have now come here once to dine in and once to pick up a lot of takeout. Very excited to have found this restaurant because the the food is super delicious. My favorites include the cucumber salad (if you like cucumbers you will love this salad as it's basically cucumbers and a light vinegary dressing) and the mango fresh rolls (so delicious with large mango slices inside). I was less impressed with their crab rangoon (not so generously stuffed). Bf enjoyed the Pad Thai and the seafood soup (really more of a broth with seafood than a cream or veg based soup). When we dined in the service was okay but a little abrupt. I also recall a sad, dead plant in the window. Ambience factor is low but I am now legitimately obsessed with the mango fresh rolls. The person who took out takeout order was very friendly and upbeat over the phone. read more

One of the Best Thai Restaurants in providence area. After trying out a few places and not really loving the food at the others I was so pleased to have found this place and have had a delicious dinner! I got the Chicken Pad Thai and wow was it delicious and filling not to mention the price was very reasonable considering many other places charge on average $3 more for the same size portion and not as tasty. I couldn't recommend this place more, it's nicely located on the east side with ample street parking. read more

Had a Hemingway moment here...warm sun filtering in large window--time to wind down--quietness...and the freakin food was delicious! Dumplings were off the chart-- spring rolls, Hot basil chicken. Oh my. Some of the best I've had!! Took my wife here a week later--same experience. Tom Yum soup was fab--so was their wonton. (My wife said their wonton soup was the best she ever had!) This is normally one of my favorite go to spots for Thai food. When I was there last time I asked for my papaya salad mild and my friend and I could barely eat ours because they were so spicy! I have gotten Bee's many times in years past and it was always amazing. After a long hiatus I was craving it and decided to get some food here. Unfortunately not such a great experience this time around. My food choices were pretty basic: pad Thai with chicken, mango fresh rolls, and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon seemed like it was missing a good amount of crab, seasonings, scallions; or what have you. It was basically just fried cream cheese - kind of gross. In the past when getting this at other places I've been able to see ingredients in the filling but this filling was just pure white cream cheese. The pad Thai was really bland and dry. Usually pad Thai will be somewhat wet with a "sauce" they cook it in. Sometimes you get that sweet/salty/umami from the different ingredients with the flavors all combining and swirling. It's what makes pad Thai amazing! This was pretty poor for pad Thai, since all those flavors from the sauce weren't there, which is a shock compared to my past experiences here at Bee's. Super disappointed since pad Thai was exactly what I was craving! The mango fresh rolls were fantastic. All fresh ingredients, well made, really appetizing. One peeve is that the mango was not super ripe but overall not a big deal. They were still delicious. Restaurant looked super clean and the staff was very friendly. If you can grab a parking spot, it's generally a convenient location and just a minute from I95. I really want to give Bee's another try - to see if this was just a one off experience or if there has been some slide in quality here compared to my visits in the past. read more

I can't believe this place isn't more highly rated. They have tons of vegan and GF options as well as plenty of dishes for omnivores. They have the best rolls (I get the mango fresh rolls) I've had. Their veggie soup is simple and so good. The yellow curry is flavorful with just a slight hint of spice. The staff are super friendly. Dine in or take out it's always a great meal! read more

A convenient and cozy neighborhood spot. I have dined here several times over the past year, both on my own and in small groups, and have been satisfied with what I've ordered. I have tried the pad see ew, pad thai, duck noodle soup and tom yum noodle soup. Noodles are pretty good, but in my opinion they put a little too much white pepper on top. I especially liked the noodle soup on cold winter days. Service is really fast and convenient (I've done takeout orders over the phone as well). The interior of the restaurant is nicely lit and has a homey feel. I would say that the prices are a bit high for the quality of the food, but the convenience of the location has kept me coming back. This place also has a BYOB policy if you'd like to bring a bottle of wine to go with dinner. Overall, good comfort food albeit pricey. read more

I visited this restaurant while vacationing in Rhode Island and heard great things about it. However, it did not meet my expectations. When I first walked in I was confused if I had to sit down and wait for someone to take my order or go up the register. I decided to go to the register and the man told me to only do that if I was taking my food to-go. I ordered the chicken pad thai because I feel like it's a classic Thai dish. When my dish came there was a ton of noodles, but barely any chicken at all. I honestly didn't like the way it tasted and took it to go since I had so much left. Such a good restaurant. I started off with the veggie dumplings. They were perfectly crispy veggie filled fried dumplings. They were delicious! My boyfriend got angel wings as his appetizer and he devoured them! For our meals I got pad Thai made vegan, with tofu and I added veggies. It was delicious and I ate the whole plate. He had the Bangkok beef and he said it was a 9.2. Everything was spectacular and the service was good. This place is also BYOB. Great place to try! read more

Soup was nice, taste of Cilantro stood out which worked for me since I am from India.. Mango roll was a first for me, the sweet/sour taste of Mango and the neutral taste of Avocado made it unique.. I'd say one of the strengths here is that the vegetables are fresh & well cooked. The sauces are good. The service is good - not overly cheerful but fine. The location is in a good little spot. One of their cool specialties is mango spring rolls. Their prices are fair. This place seems family run. First time ordering here. I drove pass it and was curious how a Thai restaurant in this little quiet neighborhood is like. So I ordered a Green curry chicken takeout. Small portion, blend taste, dry chicken. Disappointed. It's such a saucy dish you would think the restaurant would give me a spoon cause typically one would scoop up the curry with rice. Nope. I have been to this restaurant a few times and they have consistently delivered great thai food and service. The restaurant itself is Spacious - about 15 tables. It's painted with warm colors and it is nicely decorated w thai photographs. It's a good spot for everyone - families, couples, single and people with kids. The service has always been friendly, prompt, professional and fast. The menu offers lots of choices without being too extensive. The prices range from $8-15 per person but it is well worth it. The restaurant in a mix residential/business area, so parking may be an issue depending on the day and time of the day. Nights/weekends are the busiest I will definitely continue coming back and will recommend it. read more
