I've been going to 4 Seasons Restaurant for years, and it's always been one of my go-to spots. Lately, though, I've felt like the level of customer service hasn't been as strong, although that could just be based on recent visits, which is why I rated this a 3. The food is the reason I keep coming back. They are always consistent with the food quality and the portions are generous for the price. The ambiance feels casual. Overall, I would recommend trying them out. Just as an FYI, if you order chive dumplings, it's just chive on the inside and not actually dumplings. If you want dumplings, order ravioli. Me and my family went to 4 Seasons recently. One of our dishes was the Cambodian classic beef. The green beans in it were rotten!!! The taste was sour and off. We all tried it before knowing the beans were spoiled. The cucumbers that came with the dish were also not fresh. Very limp. I didn't even bother trying the tomatoes in it. We paid for the dish, so we deserved to be given a fresh meal at a restaurant! Me and my family all got the runs later that night and the next day. This is food poisoning and something needs to be done about it. They should not be in business if they don't give two s:;#% about their customers' health!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. Went here after the redbull snowboard event, the ambience is casual yet sophisticated. We were seated in 10 min and the server was great, she knew everything about the menu. The food it was lacked...the lobster bisque was well blahhh no taste and no lobster! I got the Chilean sea bass which was cooked perfect but again lacked flavor. I was skeptical about coming here because I'm super picky about where I eat Chinese food since I have my staple places in NY. 4 seasons is now added to a staple restaurant for when im visiting Rhode Island! Upon entering we were greeted warmly and sat down quickly. Our waiter came to take our order and he was very nice. We got the eggrolls as an appetizer and the lunch special as our entrée. The lunch special was kind of hard to find because it was at the back of the menu. The lunch special came with chicken and broccoli soup two wings and a choice of white rice or fried rice all for $10.50. Everything was really delicious. I've eaten here before but ordered take out for the first time. Had some issues with my order not being correct, but the staff was helpful. Fast and delicious. Busy but plenty of parking in the lot. It was pretty packed on a Sunday but they had us in and out no problem. Everything we ordered was worth the money, money well spent! Had hot tea for the table which was refilled well, we didn't have to flag anyone down lol. Ck Fried rice was Smokey and flavorful. Beef sticks were flavorful, cooked perfect & all plates came hot and fresh. Ordered beef and a combo mee khathung aka latna aka Cambodian noodles in gravy which were both great. Lot rolls were plentiful and crispy. Chinese brocolli in oyster sauce cooked perfect and not overly cooked. Jalapeno ck wings were crispy, meaty and perfectly flavorful. Ordered rounds of Thai iced tea for the table too. Everything was A1. Def recommend for authentic Cambodian/SE Asian cuisine! I enjoyed the Beef Stew Soup which includes bean sprouts and noodles. About 2 days later, I returned for the Cambodian Classic Beef. It was good too but a little saltier. This Pan Asian restaurant has a large menu, so it has many options for pretty much any customer. We got 3 things: - Spare Ribs. They were meaty and well seasoned, they were warm and tasty. The best of the three things we ordered. - Scallion pancakes. They were crispy and plentiful. Not a lot of scallion flavor, more like a savory doughboy dish. - Stir fry vermicelli noodles with chicken. I asked for them to be done with less sauce, less sodium. The dish came out still pretty heavily seasoned. I thought this was going to be similar to a Mei Fun, but it was not. Lots of noodles, very little vegetables, very little chicken. 4Seasons never disappoints!! We've been going for about 25 years now, the food is made with love and can heal just about anything, it was our lunch stop after my chemo and radiation treatments 20 years ago, and each time I came out feeling so much better. This day we brought mom here for Mother's Day dinner. Got here around 4 and we were seated right away! We got our usual apps; nime chow (the best around, it's all in how tight the roll is, ) and natang (no one in the state has this on the menu, it's soooo gooood!!) Mom got her shrimp fried rice, and hubby got the combination BeeBong. I ordered something I never have. The crispy fish was striped bass and topped with veggies and a yummy lemongrass sauce. Definitely order it!! Worth it! Lovely, thank you to the staff and chefs, another lovely dinner in the books. We'll be sure not to wait so long this time to come in again!! read more

My first experience at 4 Seasons was a pretty decent one in my continual quest for 'old school' chinese takeout. I would definitely try this again soon although the food was "ok", not bad but not amazing either. I tried General tsos chicken which had a much different sauce than I am typically used to. Seemed very much like a teriyaki sauce than a general tsos sauce. Not very sweet. The chicken was a bit overcooked and dried out in parts. It seemed like it just spent a bit too long in the fryer. I got pork fried rice and this was fantastic! It had a very strong garlic taste but I honestly didn't mind it and thought it was really good. I got a lo mein for lunch the next day and thought it was decent but kind of lacking in its plainness. It was very typical compared to other places but wish 4 seasons would add more variety or veggies to the lo mein. I did enjoy this a lot more than the chicken though. I tried crab rangoon and it was average. Pretty similar to many other chinese restaurants. Nothing standout but nothing bad about it either. My nime chow was really soggy for some reason, slightly bland but overall very fresh with the veggies being very crunchy. I also tried egg rolls which were very well done (very brown) and very crispy. Despite getting a LOT of food (all the servings were very large, big portions, no skimping on portion size here) the price was not bad at all. 4 seasons is a lot cheaper than a lot of other places in RI. There must have been over a dozen takeout orders also ready for pickup and the dining room was full of patrons on a weekday. The volume they do means the food must be pretty fresh. So overall a decent stop to try out, and a budget friendly restaurant. Big portion size but where they make up for in quantity, in some spots could use a boost of quality. Another outstanding return visit to our go-to Asian restaurants. From the highest quality of food...to the best service, you can't go wrong no matter what you choose from the menu. Today opted for a combination of beef and shrimp with rice noodles. This provided with fresh vegetables and a chili paste for bringing the heat as desired. The bone broth was outstanding tonight! We chose to come to 4 Seasons before heading to Roger Williams Zoo for the JackoLatern Festival. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night expecting a small wait but there was a table for four being cleaned up just as we came in and we sat there 2 minutes later. Our server was exceptionally great, he was attentive and answered all the questions we had about the menu. We ordered two lychee martinis and unfortunately there were no fresh lychees, so our server made extra of the martini and basically gave us 4 for the price of 2. As we were waiting for the food, families started coming in for their Friday dinners and the dining room was bustling. We ordered a few orders of Nime Chow, which were fresh and the perfect starter. We also got the boneless ribs, lemongrass sauce wings, chicken loc lac, seafood delight, combination lort noodles and a hawaiian fried rice. The food came out very quickly and our table was filled with food before we knew it. The chicken wings were sloppy and messy but in the best way and the sauce was excellent. The lort noodles were probably my favorite of the night, I haven't had noodles in that shape before but I'll seek it out from now on. The chicken loc lac was very flavorful, savory, sweet and a little sour- it was the perfect pairing to go with the fried rice. The seafood delight was probably the least popular dish, it was a bit plain compared to all the other flavorful dishes but it was presented nicely in a fried potato bowl. Four Seasons is a great place for anyone looking to dip their toes into Cambodian food and the people working there are extremely kind and helpful. First time here. I got seated pretty quick. The restaurant was not too loud and pretty spacious. Ordered a beef pho, regular size. Broth to me was okay nothing that stood out in flavor personally. Cane here late night with a few friends and honestly was blown away from the level of customer service we received. Extremely polite and generous. We stayed until close and they did not rush us one time. Extremely polite! The wings are the absolute star of the show. The jalapeño wings are an absolute must. Sweet and spicy wings were great as well. Chicken wings are regular sized and not too big or small and the chicken isn't tough cooked through. They are perfect! The shrimp fried rice was good nothing too special but still fine to eat. My least favorite dish was the general tsos chicken as it was very tough and difficult to cut. I've been coming here for years!! The chicken wings are one of the best things on the menu. Shrimp fried rice is always my main choice. Broccoli and shrimp, shrimp rolls and spring rolls are so good! Beef teriyaki, chicken fingers with duck sauce as well!! We've been searching for a replacement since our favorite go-to place (Silver Crystal) closed - and I think we found it! 4 Seasons doesn't offer all the same dishes as our previous fave did, but it offers many that are similar and most important of all, the flavor and quality match! On this first visit we enjoyed a terrific salt & pepper squid (4 Seasons lists it as "Salted jalapeno squid") which was tender lightly-battered calamari with just the right amount of salt and hot peppers; a solid baby bok choy with oyster sauce; and an excellent fried soft-shell crab in ginger sauce, crispy and soft/juicy crab with a banger ginger and scallion flavoring. Found this place on a whim searching on the map and it's an unassuming restaurant from the outside. Service could improve, the lady at the front comes off pretty cold - but we were seated fast so I can't complain too much on that end. My husband and I ordered the regular sized combination fried rice, the beef noodle soup, and the General Tao's Chicken. The beef noodle soup was amazing! Lots of tender meat, and everything tasted fresh and had a good depth of flavor. It is on the sweeter side so I added a bunch of fresh jalapeños, bean sprouts, and a drizzle of the hoisin sauce and it was perfect! The fried rice was so good too! We were both shocked at the portion size... I can't imagine how big a large one is! The rice was seasoned to perfection and was very good! Lastly, the General Tso's. It was my least favorite dish. Some chicken pieces were kind of chewier than others? Luckily it wasn't a super off putting way, so we enjoyed it. Can't wait to return and try some other dishes from here. The server was slightly off putting and rude and the meal was, by all accounts, bad. I ordered a cantonese noodle and I couldn't even get through two bites before I got grossed out. It tasted like those nasty Trader Joes Japanese ramen. Like it had this very stewed vegetable flavor that was not helped by the sauce they used for the noodles. My friend also didn't enjoy their dish. The eggs were also barely cooked and raw in a way that was more on the Chinese food spectrum than Cambodian or Viet spectrum. Overall I wouldn't go back. It seems like this place was once really good but has just gone down in food quality. I prefer Apsaras because at least they have good meals. read more

My family likes to cook at home, but when we opt for takeout, 4 seasons is worth the 20 minute drive for us. I introduced my husband to 4 seasons and we find ourselves driving 1.5 hours for a plate of Cantonese noodles and crispy jalapeno wings on a random weekday. Perfect with their dipping sauce where after I find it a somewhat religious experience to drink the remaining sauce. Dignified, ain't I? Come on! You do the same. Admit it! I don't remember what the other item was but it was lettuce, basil, rice noodles and shrimp that you wrap in the lettuce and dip in the same sauce. Perfect for a hot day. My old boss (back in the 90s!) introduced me to this place, and I was sad when I stopped working in Providence, because it was no longer an easy and quick trip for lunch. My husband and I would then make special weekend trips up for lunch or dinner - though sometimes he would still sneak away to lunch during the week and not tell me he went! I highly recommend the Lot appetizer, as well as the Spring Rolls and the Steamed Pork Ravioli (dumplings to those of you not from New England). Their Pad Thai is my favorite meal, and there's always more than enough to bring home for another lunch or two. Was so happy to see they survived COVID and are still going strong. read more

Not particularly enjoyable- especially when you are with a full table so we were battling with space! The food was different! What do I mean? The Natang was more runny and spicy rather than creamy and sweet and the rice cakes that accompany it were all broken! Then the Sesame chicken was pretty tough to eat. The chicken was tough and chewy almost making it inedible. I love all food but this had to be the worst prepared chicken I ever ate. The taste was there but the execution was lost. The rest of the food - Noodle soup, beef and broccoli, pork fried rice and Pad Thai were good but that chicken just set the tone. Came around 6pm on a Saturday and was seated right away. The restaurant is really spacious with different seating options available. For two people, we ordered the Hae Kainge, Beef Loc Lac, and Chicken Classic with a small bowl of white rice. We started off with the Hae Kainge, which I had never tried before but definitely would order again. The service was very friendly and the waiter helped us decide what to order. Delicious We have eaten here at the Four Seasons Restaurant located at the Cranston/Providence city line in the Ocean State Job Lot shopping plaza. We go here to have their Pho. The broth is delicious and we enjoy the chicken rice noodle and seafood rice noodle pho especially. It's a meal in its self and truly enjoyable.
