Pho King was decent overall. The pho didn't come with the usual bean sprouts and basil, which we missed, but they did give hoisin, sriracha, and limes. We also tried the summer rolls. They only had two small shrimp pieces inside, but the peanut sauce was really good. I did like that the veggie + tofu pho felt light and satisfying, and it was nice to get a good amount of vegetables in it. Service was quick, the pho was good and the beef was tender. I feel the cuisine is mostly influenced by North Vietnam. I like that the menu had English descriptions and Vietnamese name for the dishes so I can actually read the menu since it wasn't in Spanish. The place is quiet and spacious. I didn't care for my vermicelli noodles salad because I didn't know that they would be drowned in sauce. My daughter didn't care for fresh spring rolls with shrimp because they had put chilies inside with the pickled carrots. Food I am from California I came here to visit and get some authentic Vietnamese food and to my surprise the Vietnamese food is very rich of flavor everything is on point especially the spices. Surprisingly authentic spring and egg rolls. I especially liked that the cha gio egg rolls were of the rice paper skin type--not the wanton wrappers typical of Chinese egg rolls. The sauces for Summer rolls were thick and strongly flavored. The egg rolls came with lettuce leaves and a garlicky fish chili sauce. Pho noodles were slippery and tender, meats were delicious. A Pho Vietnamese food in Mexico City, that is awesome! The restaurant is in Refomal street which is about 50 minutes walk from Central Historic where I stayed. I came here didn't expected pho here to be the best for at least okay in mine preferences. They had different type of foods including bun Thit nuong, eggrolls, pho chicken,pho beef, and thai foods. Their pho is good especially the beef noodle. Their pho is the Northern Vietnam style therefore no vegetables with it expect only green onions. Very disappointing! As a huge fan of Vietnamese and have been to Vietnam, I am very familiar with the food, and this is not it. What made the experience even worse is the fact I brought my girlfriend who has never had Viet food. This was her first experience and she was not impressed, which makes it even worse. Ordered a beef pho, which came with no beef. Order of (can't recall the name atm) fried rice with giant breaded shrimp. Received Chinese fried rice with...small pieces of fake shrimp? Not even the Vietnamese was authentic. It was Mexican. When questioned they assured it was Viet but asking them to prove it by showing me the bag delivered no proof. Walking into the restaurant you can already smell the authentic pho aroma in the air. ordered the beef pho and fried rolls while hubby ordered chicken pho and shrimp spring rolls. Both pho bowls were so flavorful and didn't need much added to it. Note: The chili oil on the table is not spicy at all. The fried rolls were delicious and actually had meat in it. I am Vietnamese traveller. This is the second time I have been here. The food is very good and real vietnamese cousine. However, for Pho Bo Tai or Mien Ga, lemon will destroy the good typical smell and taste of the broth; so highly recommend eat them without lemon. read more

Broth doesn't have the essential flavors of anise/cinnamon cardamom. For a restaurant with a Pho name, especially "Pho King", you'd think they'd live up to it. I am going to give four stars because I don't want to hurt a local business. However, I will not be ordering from them again though they are quick and the food is good, but because of the packaging. It is all Styrofoam and in 2023 I cannot support a business that uses Styrofoam packaging when biodegradable options exist. The styrofoam is also wrapped in plastic and everything else comes in plastic. This is immoral considering the state of our planet and the needs Mexico city has to be sustainable. Please do better. Delicious! I had beef pho, fried summer rolls, and the coffee- all very amazing. I honestly wasn't expecting much when going into the restaurant cause it's not the prettiest, but the food proved me wrong. Pho was pretty good I ordered A2. The meal had plenty of taste. Would definitely recommend to people who want something warm and light.
