Years ago, this used to be a buffet place. I'm so glad it is now a pho place. It looks really nice inside, with a full bar and a party room. We came here for lunch on a weekday and were seated right away. We ordered the spring rolls, pho, and standard rice with pork chop, omelet, etc. The spring roll was made with both shrimp and pork which we liked. The pho broth was quite tasty and not greasy. It came with a lot of meat and tendons. You had a choice of a large bowl (about $11) or extra large (about $14). We were pleasantly surprised with the rice dish as it was pretty big with lots of items. They also had bubble tea here but for $6.50 a cup, I find it way too pricey so we didn't try it. Overall, great place to go with a few people or with a large group. Service was great and staff were friendly. They do have outdoor seating with the option to open the doors to have the rest of the restaurant open to the outside, which I found to be quite nice. read more

The Summer Rollers are amazing, the Pork especially is so flavorful it makes you smile! The Pho broth is clear clean and vibrant with taste. All ingredients were as fresh as possible. This is a newly opened restaurant that is still trying to find its footing. I've come here twice so far and there are some highs and lows. Lows: it's chaotic. The servers are all over the place, and you almost feel anxiety because you don't know who to call when you have a request or question. I think the restaurant is still figuring out their service. Also, because the servers are harried, they can be a little rude. Highs: the food gets a thumbs up from me. The pho is good, the bun is good, and the summer rolls are good. They're accommodating when you need it. The restaurant is clean and has an inviting interior. It's not bad for a date but not my first choice. There are great vegetarian options. Parking is plentiful. I will definitely come back, but probably not on a Friday or Saturday night. read more

I went there on Saturday night. It wasn't that busy, saw a couple of tables that were empty. In the beginning, the service was decent. Got the menu and water for the table. Order the food. I ordered B5 (grilled beef and spring roll on rice vermicelli). The beef was decent, but the spring roll felt like a day old, and it was just re-cook again to get that crispy side (well, it wasn't much crispy when taking a bite of it). My husband didn't like his food. He thought the Bo Luc Lac wasn't favorable. It tastes like Chinese black pepper beef. The main server, he wasn't in uniform like the rest of the employees that were serving tables. So my thoughts is he was either the crappy manager or supervisor. It took about 10 minutes to get his attention to get the bill. (I wave, clap my hands, snap my fingers, and give a shout out) He was too busy chatting up the storm with 2 customers (his friends?) at the side bar talking about himself. He didn't look, he wasnt even that far from my table because I could hear his entire conversation (deep conversation talking about himself). Then, when finally got the bill. Took another 10 minutes to grab his attention again because he was still talking to the same customers. Then, when he got the credit card. What he did next was so unbelievable. He had the credit card in his hand, and he went back to talking to the same customers for another 5 minutes. The register was right next to him. I was watching the whole thing and was like dude it not that hard to multitask. Basically, the main server was crap. I give it a one star because this location can fit a large party of 16. First time in the idea and this restaurant caught my eyes as I was driving by... it's a huge restaurant! I ordered the H1 to go and it took about 10 minutes for me to get my order. As expected, you get the broth/ condiments on the side and noodles/seafood in another container. Broth was bland but With a few ingredients added it wasn't so bad. It comes with veggies, squid, fish balls, and shrimp. I just wish I got more than 1 shrimp in it. But overall it was good.. I would go back and try other items on the menu. One of my favorite spots to eat pho. Pictured below is the rice vermicelli plate: B1. Bun Dac Biet "Today" (Special) bun grilled pork, grilled shrimp, grilled beef, spring roll on rice vermicelli priced at $14.95. Large plate to save leftovers if you can't finish it. No need for reservations at this restaurant they have in-door dining and take out. They also have bubble teas available. I would recommend for pho to get P1. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures but I can't wait to go back! Last night my girlfriend and I stopped by for dinner. She had the crispy spring rolls and I had the beef short rib pho. Wow! Amazing portion great flavor and such a great value. Service was efficient and attentive. If you're looking to become best friends with your server you probably won't find that here but if you're looking for efficiency and quality this is the place. Pho today offers a taste of Vietnam like no other. The ambiance of this place is so great. The wall decor, the wine display is really nice. The host and waiters are so nice. Some must tries on their menu are the banh xeo. It is like a crispy crepe filled with veggies and shrimp. I always ask the staff for rice paper and I wrap the banh xeo in it. It adds another layer of taste to the dish. Also, you must try the short rib pho. This comes with two bowls! You get an extra bowl for the bones which you can pick off from. Excellent service! Pho soup and the rice combo is what I usually ordered. The taste and the portion size is worth it.

There have been a few other restaurants before Pho Today arrived here and I'm convinced Pho Today is here to stay indefinitely. They have an huge list of options and share similar choice options that you have become familiar with at other Vietnamese fares. For instance, option C4 has always been the grilled pork-chop shared commonly across other menu's which I admire because you don't feel lost looking at the menu. I love their grilled pork chop, broken rice, sliced tomato & cucumber combined with their delicious sweet fish sauce for dipping to compliment all those flavors. I've had their Banh Min, which is their version of a hoagie. I feel like me even suggesting that comparison was rude. Scratch that. The Bao Minh is this amazing sandwich of chicken breast, daikon radish, lime, rice vinegar, cucumber, jalapeno and cilantro. Wow. Lastly, their Gà Rang Me, tamarind wings...BOMB. They also come in fish sauce flavor, but you don't want to overdose on that sauce....or maybe you do? Go try! read more

Stopped in for lunch today after hearing about their Grand Opening yesterday on Facebook... I really liked the restaurants interior very modern and bright. We were promptly greeted, given menus and our drink orders were taken. They have a very expansive menu, all of the standard Vietnamese favorites as well as a nice selection of dinner entrees and of course Bubble Tea... We have a pretty standard order we get at Vietnamese restaurants so that's what we went with... He gets a Pho, I get a rice vermicelli dish and we share some spring rolls. He had the P2- Pho Dac Biet He enjoyed it very much and said the broth was savory and the portion was generous. I had the B3- Grilled Pork and spring rolls on rice vermicelli The grilled pork was nicely seasoned and very flavorful, the spring rolls were crisp and tasty and the veggies were very fresh as well. Great dish... The spring rolls here come 2 per order for 3.95 which I didn't know when we initially ordered. I guess I've become accustomed to there being 4 per order at other restaurants. So if you're ordering for 2 or more guests order accordingly... Either way they were crisp and tasty. One of the owners Christie stopped by our table to see how everything was and we had a nice little chat about the restaurant. She was very kind and friendly and even offered us to try a piece of one of their Banh Mi sandwiches which was also very fresh and tasty. I'll need to try one of those soon when we visit again. My first visit to this restaurant and I will definitely be going back. The menu was huge and everything had a letter and number to order. I had Pho Today which is ox tail and filet over vermicelli noodles in a beef broth. The portion was huge and came with a plate of sprouts and basil to add to your liking. I also ordered Thai bubble tea which was delicious and not overly sweet. The only small complaint I had was service. Our server did not understand to well and a few things came wrong but he quickly corrected the mistake and brought what we ordered. The restaurant itself is huge! The bathroom needed to be cleaned tho. Other then the few minor things mentioned, the food was delicious and served piping hot. This spot was great!! Service was awesome and food just as awesome. We started with the shrimp roll and calamari they both were terrific. My Po soup pork and shrimp were perfect. My kids ate the grilled pork chop rice plate they couldn't stop saying how good it was, portion was a good size too. I've been coming to this spot since they opened and have loved each meal there. It's always fresh, the beef broth is savory and could be a meal on its own, it's so good. Service is average - there's been times where I've waited a bit long for someone to come over and take our order, but the staff has always been nice and friendly. It's great to eat on a weekday when it's quieter but I do get a kick out of seeing patrons going in and out of their party room for a birthday. The community around this restaurant feels great and I hope to go again soon. read more

Private party rooms available. Liquor bar in back, wine vault as the back wall and liquor lockers displayed in dining room. Seemed like a lot of alcohol for a Vietnamese restaurant. The tables were stocked with almost everything you need while dining; hot sauces, fish sauces, other sauces, a stack of sauce bowls, stack of soup spoons, chopsticks, straws and extra napkins. The service was pleasant. Waitress was very patient and explained everything clearly. She came back several times to make sure we were happy. Food was yummy. We ordered all basic pho dishes. Everything was fresh. Veggies were crisp. Meats were tender. Shrimps and calamari were very tasty. Soups were savory and slurpable. We stumbled upon Pho today because it was near our hotel. But we are so glad we did. We thought the food was delicious, however we can't speak to authenticity because this was our first experience with Vietnamese food. It so delicious that we went two evenings in a row. One knock and it's so small that it didn't deserve to lose a star. Being new to the menu it might've been nice to receive some explanation about the food. So when she told me she was willing to give pho another shot and asked me if I wanted to go to "Pho Today" with her, I couldn't help but laugh and quote Ali Wong, saying, "that is not authentic Vietnamese - it doesn't have a number in it!" Regardless, Pho Today was near the Regal Hadley Theater in South Plainfield and we wanted to watch a movie after dinner. Pho Today finds itself not near the plentiful strip malls around these streets, but next to two hotels. Thanks to that tidbit, Pho Today has a full bar so you're free to order cocktails and one of their 24 draft beers! They have a great selection of local beers and I was able to order one of my favorites, Flying Fish Abbey Dubbel. We each ordered a B3, bun with spring roll and grilled pork. For a $11 dish, we got a big bowl... but I wasn't impressed with the amount of grilled pork, spring roll, or fish sauce for the size of the bowl. It filled me up but it was mostly rice noodles and some veggies. Overall, it wasn't bad but not the best bun I got and a bit bland. You might've noticed that my friend didn't end up getting pho after all... So we didn't but they do have an expansive menu and we wanted to see what else they had to offer. The pho was also served in these massive bowls but I feel they'll follow a similar trend with the pho; lots of noodles and toppings left to be desired. If you want some alright Vietnamese and some alcohol to go with your meal, Pho Today isn't a bad option. read more

Love this place! Have been here multiple times to dine in and for take out orders. The food is consistent; service is fast and friendly; restaurant is clean. Anything you order is delicious. Everything is well seasoned, but sometimes too salty (esp the meats). Definitely order one of their shakes. My personal favorite is durian. You can order with or without bubbles. This restaurant is HUGE, so you won't have to wait long for a table. They also have a few party rooms for private events. The parking lot is large, just make sure you enter into the right part of the driveway (it's easy to miss). Cash or credit is accepted. Great restaurant. Will be back soon! read more

The food was brought out oromptly. My brother loved his Wonton Noodle Soup. We reserved a private room for 40. Perhaps it was treated as a banquet, we did not think we received the normal services. One server was assigned (1/40). The storage room is located in our banquet room, so the staff constantly came to pick up straws, cups....and left the storage door open. There were no napkins, chopsticks, forks or condiments on our four tables. We went to the room next door and got them. Our server was good. He got all orders in accurately. read more

As much as I love the food here, the service is TERRIBLE. Employees ate always lounging around; chatting, eating or otherwise pre-occupied, and one lady is always walking around on her phone. . I'm currently here...& as always I had to flag down someone to take my order, then the girl looks up from the table and asks "are you ready to order"; I just rolled my eyes because ummm WTH do you think, and why do I have to flag you down? Another patron just flagged her down and asked for a menu...the absurdity. I used to come her almost once a week, I don't come as often now, because I have to be on the mood to deal with this nonsense. read more
