This place knows what they're doing and the proof is in how busy they always are. Super fast framing, sometimes in as little as 2 days!

I have had over 20 pieces framed by Ray at the Issaquah location and I don't ever plan on going anywhere else.

Garrett definitely has a knack and an eye for picking the frame and matte. The artwork colors pop and just look fabulous. I could not be more happy. Garrett was easy to work with taking his time and making suggestions(of which I would have never put together). Great experience framing, great guy, wonderful results. Highly, highly recommend.

It's getting tougher and tougher to find a frame shop you can count on to offer both good work and…read moreprices you can afford. It's not that they're all out to rob you, I don't think, it's just a more-expensive business than it used to be. And too many of them rely on prominent locations to get noticed. That real estate comes with (literally) a cost. Enter Garrett's Framing Studio. They're in a small strip mall set back not just from a main road but from a side street, too. They have a big suite with plenty of space, and they do a ton of work in-house. I found this out after realizing I not only had a backlog of stuff I've been wanting to frame, but would actually have a little wall space again after giving a few things away. I contacted a few places to see about prices and services, and none of them really got back that quickly (Garrett's included). These guys ended up being my first phone call after all my emails went nowhere, and he quickly walked me through a few ways to finish my projects for less money than I might have thought. Instant interest. I ended up framing a couple things myself with store-bought kits, and put all my focus on a nice piece that's been rolled up for a couple years, waiting for attention. Garrett was behind the counter when I brought it in. He had already juggled emails and phone calls from me as well as an email from my sister about buying me a gift certificate to put toward the project. He walked us through all the matte and frame options, with tons of creative input and advice on criteria to use while deciding. But it was all very low-key, and he never acted like he was the only person in the room who knew anything about framing. He even noticed that the piece was signed, without having to have that pointed out, and adjusted the matte size accordingly. We picked something in under 10 minutes, and he offered advice on the most cost-effective glass for the piece. The price is still a little higher than an old geezer like me is used to, but that's geezer life for ya. He ended up being super-responsive on email once the project was underway, and proactive, too--always thoughtful with communication. I picked up my piece a couple weeks later, as promised, and it's hanging now just across from the desk in my office. I couldn't be happier. I've always liked having framed stuff around the house, to the point where now I have all the stuff I can handle. It's awesome to be able to add one more. And now I have a go-to frame shop as well...just in case I buy a bigger house or something.

I had a disappointing experience at this Hobby Lobby location…read more I approached an employee who appeared to be a manager after hearing a "Code 7" call and seeing her quickly come over to the party decorations section where she was organizing merchandise. I politely said, "Excuse me, ma'am, could I ask for help with something?" Before I could even finish my question, she completely ignored me. She didn't look at me, turn toward me, or acknowledge that I was speaking to her. After waiting a few seconds, I felt awkward and said, "Oh, never mind," and started to walk away. That's when she responded with, "I'm waiting," in a tone that came across as rude and impatient. I then asked whether they had a specific item in stock. She told me no and said she had supposedly placed an order that morning and was waiting for it to arrive, but it never came. The explanation was unclear and not very helpful. What made the experience worse was the overall atmosphere. Several employees seemed unfriendly, and I felt like I was being looked at rudely while shopping. Additionally, there appeared to be numerous employees standing around the checkout area, yet very few were actively helping customers or processing purchases, which was frustrating to see. Customer service can make a huge difference in a shopping experience, and unfortunately, this visit left me feeling unwelcome and dismissed. Just to be kind, i got my $5 worth of stickers and wil be spending $50+ at michael's instead.

About…read more70% of the store is dedicated to decor, things along the lines of "live laugh love" which ends up really masking the reason I am sure 90% of people go there, which is for supplies. The layout of this store is not intuitive. There were cricut items in 3 different aisles that weren't even near each other. No rhyme or reason. With a store this size, they really need to adopt the Home Depot model where you can look up an item and it tells you what aisle to look in. I was trying to make a craft that I had found on tiktok and I could not find most of what I needed. Spent an hour looking to just get 3 of the 12 things I needed. They were out of weird things too, like all of their scrapbook paper that looks like wood/flooring was gone. And they didn't have green paper. They had a spot for dollhouse mirrors but none available. They seemed to be out of stock of most things, other than the cheesy decor. The prices are great, but the customer service, ease of finding things, selection, and availability keep me dreading a trip there.

The lot was large and shared by businesses in the center. Circling, I found an open spot on my first go round. Parking and going into the building I noticed a number of seasonal items, though I was on the hunt for more routine occasional than seasonal occasional items. Venturing deeper into the store I found some items meeting my gifting criteria in the candy making section, the clearance section, and the fabrics section. I enjoyed looking over the items, they were varied and creative. I went with a candy mold (superhero theme), paint it oneself sloth wind chime made of wood, and a pre-cut bundle of flannel fabric. The total came in at less than $18.00, a score in my opinion. Worker(s) were friendly and the store was well laid out and easy to navigate.

I'll be honest and admit I'm usually only buying yarn/thread and felt for crochet and knitting projects so I don't know how great the rest of the store's selection is. The employees are always really nice whenever I go in. I can usually find whatever I'm looking for, but I also check the app before going. I love that there's always coupons to use so I plan my trips and stock up when things are either on sale or they have really good coupons to get more for your money. The parking lot is a shared lot, but I can always find parking really close, even with it always being busy.
