Had both front and rear brakes and rotors replaced on my 2012 Cadillac SRX. The job was done timely and at a reasonable price.

Made a reservation online and arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time. Waited for a while in the lobby before another customer finally told me I needed to bring the car around back. Waited around ten minutes in the back until an employee finally came back to address myself and another customer waiting. He didn't seem happy to be there, which was apparent from how much he told me. He also mentioned he didn't know about my reservation because he doesn't use the computer and made me fill out the forms with him. After waiting well past my scheduled service time, he took my key and I awkwardly walked through the shop to the lobby. The service seemed quick enough until another gentleman walked up with my engine air filter and went through the upcharge list. Not a great service experience, but maybe they were having a bad day, drove home and moved on. Here's where I got pissed. I bought an engine air filter and when I went to replace it, I found they had not reconnected the hose after they removed it the filter without my permission. The topping on the cake in now three months later needed to add oil because the level was low. I've been getting oil changes 1-2 times a year for ten years. This is the first time I've ever needed to add oil into my car. Add it's not because of a leak. My previous place would show me the dipstick after service. Now I know why, because places like this exist.

I just moved to Colorado and bought a crappy little Hyundai. It was time to get it serviced and I…read morewas panicking because my check engine light was on. All I needed was my fluids changed and tires filled up. They had me out of there in 10 minutes and I have nothing but good things about this place!

Most of my vehicles are old, vintage, and I build and work on them myself. But we also have a…read moremodern Subaru and when it requires something outside of my skill level I bring it to these guys. Honest guys, Steve, the owner, is on the floor getting his hands dirty. This is important to me. In my last three experiences I was overwhelmingly pleased. First, the timing belt broke due to a seized tensioner. It's an interference engine so top end is ruined. Steve Mills rebuilt it and had me back on the road in 4 days and under $3k. Then, secondly, about four months later, timing belt again. I took it back, they looked at it and said it was a new part that failed. The bolt that the tensioner pivots on snapped in half. Steve Mills Racing gives you a fairly lengthy warranty on this job so we got our second engine rebuild for free. Yes that's what everyone should do but these guys did it right. No hesitation, no beating around the bush. They apologized for having to keep our car for a few more days, made sure we had transportation and made this job their priority to be finished as soon as possible. Later this year the car started running poorly and the check engine light came on. Took it in, diagnostics said one cylinder wasn't firing and they found a worn plug wire. I picked the car up, completed the work myself and they cleared the code for me. No attitude about doing the work myself. This is a racing shop after all. These guys like to work on their own cars too. I tend not to trust mechanics in general. Either they're aren't honest or they don't care enough about cars for me to trust their options. This is not the case at Steve Mills Racing. these guys are enthusiasts and it shows.

Thank you to Steve Mills and the team! Brought in my classic car for an inspection and repairs…read more Both the car and I were treated with respect and professionalism. I appreciate Jeff at the front desk for his expertise and kindness. Steve, I'm grateful for your knowledge and experience. It's good to know that when leaving any of vehicles for service, they're in good hands. Thank you for being honest and fair.
