I was not informed that my course would be almost entirely online until the first day, after I had already driven all the way to campus. The program itself felt very disorganized and understaffed. At one point, the Assistant Dean was responsible for multiple classes at once, which made it difficult to get proper support. I experienced ongoing technical issues that I reported from day one, but they were not resolved in a timely manner. The day before an exam, the Assistant Dean pulled me aside and told me it looked like I would not pass her class. When I asked what I could do to fix the situation, I was told there was nothing that could be done even though my concerns had already been documented. I ended up going above her to get the issue resolved myself, but after that, I felt like I was treated differently. In addition to the academic challenges, I also dealt with subtle bullying and microaggressions from peers. I reported this to instructors, but no action was taken. I even overheard classmates discussing how I was going to fail, which was extremely discouraging and emotionally distressing. The only positive part of my experience was my advisor, who actually listened and tried to support me. Overall, the lack of communication, support, and accountability created a negative and, at times, hostile learning environment. For those considering this program, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about structure, support, and class format before enrolling.

This is my official last week in her class and it such a sad feeling, but although I'm feeling very confident in going on to externship! Ms. Thomas. Thank you for everything! They have no communication, very disorganized, instructors/program directors constantly quitting because of how mistreated they are and how undervalued the program is. Surgical Technology Program sucks. Every term there was an issue, during term 3 they had stated we needed to get vaccines, fingerprint clearance card, etc. and we weren't told how to do it at all and when they finally did show us "how to do it" it was deemed wrong and we payed for the wrong things. And certain things we WERENT supposed to pay for but the coordinator didn't say anything. No structure whatsoever. Teachers just expect you to know everything and somehow teach yourself. you can't have a job at all, the hours are horrible and long. I was struggling financially as well and i asked for financial help they told me to take ubers, lyft, etc. i expressed i had already been doing that and it was still expensive for me, they basically said that's all they could offer and didn't help me in any other way. We had a cafeteria, they got rid of it. And we moved to a smaller facility, which is horrible no space at all. The school just wants your money and provides no actual education. You have to teach yourself despite being at school for 40 hours a week. Worst school ever, i'm in debt now and feel like i wasted money on my education. The new program director in surgical technology is very rude and big headed. he didn't even congratulate my class on graduating. never answered teams messages, never checks his email. worst school to attend, the dean is very rude and doesn't care about the students at all. would give the school 0 stars if i could. i didn't have a program director the the entirety of my program which was 16 months, and the one program director we supposedly had, never met her/him. and a program director we had for maybe 1 month, didn't help at all and she quit because of how horrible the school is and disorganized

Luckily, they had some appointments available for 1 hr massages for the both of us at the same time. The room is a large room where the tables are separated by curtains, which is fine but the room is a little cold so when you're undressed, you definitely feel the chill. It would be helpful if they had bed warmers to help with clients feeling cold. I felt that my therapist listened to me and asked questions but at the end of my massage, I realized he didn't listen to me completely about what was hurting. I explicitly stated that my lower back, shoulders, and neck were needing work. Unfortunately for me, the student followed the order of what the school teaches completely and didn't deviate, which meant he spent time on my shoulders and lower back, worked on my legs, and completely skipped my neck. I thought maybe the curriculum was different from every other massage I have ever received in my life but as the student walked me out, he told me that he had to skip my neck because he didn't want to be late for the next appointment. I understand being timely but it a client states a specific part is ailing them, focus on that and skip a different body part that isn't hurting them. I understand that this is a school and these are students, but listening to your clients and working out what ails them vs following the order needs to be emphasized.

Daniel Coady comes into our classroom almost every day and interrupts our lectures or lab time. I'm paying for my education, and I want to spend that time learning, not having class interrupted over and over. I understand that he's new, and he reminds us of that a lot. Everyone has to start somewhere, but I don't understand why our class has to be interrupted so often. Career Services should be helping students when it's actually time for externships, not taking away from our learning. On top of that, he comes across as rude and always seems upset or irritated. It makes students uncomfortable, and it doesn't create a positive environment. I wish I could work with someone else, but I don't think that would even be an option.

This is an additional review to show how poorly this school is performing. All communication…read moreamongst the staff is HORRIBLE. This was a conversation I had during my externship. She was basically trying to deny a site change because Kelsey was confident I "already completed 50% of my hours", if she would have just checked my timesheet it clearly stated I was no where near 50% done... After completing my hours at my externship site I contacted career services to ask if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out or pick up from the school, Arianna told me no I just need to drop off my evaluation form. I drive 40 minutes with my intent to just drop it off, come to find out I need to fill out a graduation packet before I can turn in my evaluation paper... On top of that I was expected to run around the school collecting signatures from the different offices, I was there early enough for majority of them to not even be in the building yet, so I went home. I get a phone call later that day saying they really need the evaluation paper so I need to go back... After another 40 minute drive I was finally able to collect all the signatures I needed and all I needed was to pay for my cap and gown then I could finally leave this place in the dust... I had to come back the next day because they only accept cash... Before I even drove to the school I called ahead to make sure Lisa was present on campus and she would still be there by the time I showed up. I show up and miss girl is on lunch... now they're just playing games with me at this point. They send me up to career services again wanting to collect my payment but not a single person has access to the cap and gowns. "it says in the email to come after 3pm". Unless it's typed with invisible letters do enlighten me... I beg of you not to attend this school, do not give them any amount of your money!!
