In my line of business, I visit senior living communities all across the valley. Earlier this…read moreweek, I had the opportunity to visit Brookdale Baywood for the first time, and meet Ellie their head of sales. She was very friendly and we had a group meeting or she shared some of the community food which was delicious. There were several residents in around the community when I was there, and they all seemed to be happy and well cared for. The receptionist at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, as well as very attentive to everything that was going on around her.

(I was horrified with other places when I was touring assisted living facilities). The staff is wonderful. If there is ever a concern or need Lori or Mike address it immediately. I also switched my dad to the in house doctor for Brookdale and she is wonderful and nice! It makes my life so much easier to have the doctor and cardiologist come to my dad's room instead of me having to drive him around, get his wheelchair in and out of my car, lift him in and out of my car which hurts my back, etc. It is also super convenient to use their pharmacy which saves me time. The caregivers are nice and Brookdale calls me immediately if there is a concern about my dad. The food is good and the head chef is amazing! He is super friendly and caring. I visit my dad about 3-5 days a week so I have a good idea of what Brookdale is like. I also lhow my dad's room is close to the laundry room. If I need to throw in a load of laundry it super convenient. Overall, I am pleased with Brookdale!

Though my parent enjoys it at the Manor, I've been concerned about continuous increases in the rent and fees, especially the latest increase of just shy of 15%! This latest increase seems to have pushed residents "over the edge," with several now moving out to nicer and cheaper alternatives. The Manor seems to have also lost several good and caring employees that we really liked. I'm starting to get concerned about the trends I've been witnessing. I hope these trends don't continue.

We were looking for a facility where more eyes would be on her and she could get Care if she needed it. We toured many independent/assisted living facilities in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area. When we walked in the door at Manor Village, we knew we had found Moms new home. We were greeted by Wesley Wilkins who provided us with a tour and as we moved throughout the building, Wesley knew all the residents that we came in contact with as well as employees. You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier. It has been such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Manor Village if you're looking for a facility that will treat your loved one like family. We want to give a special shout out to the following employees who have made my mom's move such a success. Wesley, Lisa, JoAnna, Medhia, & Abria.

The staff has gone above and beyond in the care, protection, and ensuring the well-being of my parents during this very scary time of COVID. The facility locked down early and quickly. I am quite grateful for the good care I received from the nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and the outdoor grounds are beautifully maintained. However, there were notable areas that need improvement. There were times when the care staff felt stretched thin, leading to slow response times when calling for assistance. Furthermore, communication between the administrative team and family members could be improved. A major concern was the doctors, who visit the facility sporadically; my wife was never able to speak with them. The biggest issue was the performance of the physical therapy team. There was no set schedule whatsoever, and they often rushed through sessions in just five minutes, combining physical and occupational therapy together. I tracked each visit to the gym, and we never reached the expected five sessions per week for either physical or occupational therapy. While it is a nice facility with a caring nursing staff, closely monitoring the therapy department, staffing levels, and doctor communication would make the experience much better.
