Fantastic organization who puts patients first. Issac was instrumental in assisting me with my mother's post hospital care....

I WOULD RECOMMEND PHX Mountain to anyone! The care is TOP NOTCH! I'm on the younger side (For once) to be in a Skilled nursing home! I took care of my father and mother before they passed so I know nursing homes ALL OVER PHOENIX AREA including Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, P.V., I know how scary and terrifying some of these places are! That is not the case for Phoenix Mountain on Tatum. The nurses like nurse Barry and nurse. Tristan are amazing. I can't say enough great things. The rooms were clean. The food was fantastic. OK there was a couple days a couple meals are weird, however, 90% of the time the food was phenomenal! When I was there, they had a fantastic chef! The physical therapy team outstanding, the nurses aids or the CNA's down to the housekeeping crew we're incredible. They kept that place immaculate. Although the nurses are overworked, they need a raise and they need to have a one nurse per hallway!!!!! then it will run so much smoother for the nurses. The nurses worked their buns off! and I am so appreciative of that and I am so grateful! I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was of how great this place was!, the people that lived there and that were in my same situation were awesome. My room was lovely. I overlooked a fountain and had lots of sunlight and I had my own bathroom. My roommate was incredible Patricia. She's a 93-year-old blind woman who is the most interesting person. She was awesome, again the place was fantastically clean! It looks a little old older, but it makes up for everything of how great the nurses are and the care is, it was great. The food was great. They even have an area outside where they had a big barbecue and we had hamburgers and hotdog for everyone and they have tons and tons of activities. If that's what your people are into, they had games they had workouts. It was incredible. I can't say enough good things and I'm only in my 50s and I was so surprised but so grateful! I also did have a loved one who stayed there and she had a good experience there too!, so take it from me, I was just there the last day of February 2026 for an entire month until April and I cannot say enough good things about this place! Hit me up if you need more info. Hats off to Phoenix Mountain post acute on Tatum and Thunderbird fantastic! Kind Regards Rosy Slater 714-910-1943

I worked at Phoenix Mountain Post Acute as a CNA, and unfortunately my experience there was very…read morediscouraging. The facility is constantly short staffed, which makes it extremely difficult to provide residents with the quality of care they deserve. With so few CNAs on the floor, call lights would often go unanswered, residents were left waiting for long periods, and basic care like hygiene and toileting was sometimes delayed. Many of us CNAs voiced our concerns, filed complaints, and even reported the building to the state in hopes of bringing positive change. Instead of addressing the issues, several staff members who spoke up were terminated. It felt like management, corporate, and even some of the nursing staff were more focused on protecting themselves than supporting the caregivers or prioritizing resident safety. There are good caregivers who truly care about the residents, but the system in place does not support them. The turnover rate is high, new hires often don't receive proper training, and the overall culture makes it hard to provide the compassionate care that families expect and residents need. Until major improvements are made in staffing, management, and overall accountability, I cannot recommend this facility as a safe workplace or as a place for loved ones to receive care.

Ridgecrest was the best if the worse. Of course when we went to check out the place they promised the sun, the stars and the moon. Upon transferring my friend there it took them 2 weeks before they even started physical therapy in the mean time the clock is ticking on her benefits. The food was barely palatable. Canned vegetables, over processed meats and delivered cold to boot. Tell me how can you make scrambled eggs taste bad? They managed. Their physical therapist are the only bright and shinning area in this place. Kudos to them. Nursing staff is rude, inconsiderate, lack an ounce of compassion, care or concern. To sum it up, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

He was frequently called the cutest old man and told he had a great smile from multiple staff. There were wait times for certain treatments, but the staff was busy. The treatment was great, but what impressed me more was how my mom was treated. The job of the staff is to take care of my dad. But they were so incredibly caring towards my mom and family. Big shout out to Alexia. She comforted my mom all the time with words and hugs. When he passed, so many staff went out their way to hug my mom. Not generic "sorry for loss," but with love and tears in their eyes too. They took a horrible time for our family, made it just a little bit easier knowing we could trust them with my precious dad's care.

These were the services agreed to prior to moving in. After moving in, these prices changed. * Services not asked for were added without my parents' knowledge, leading the facility to charge more than $18,000 extra over the space of 4 months. This was only resolved through months of communication with the Brookdale management. To this day, the billing is not standardized, itemized, or consistent. * The food that is served is substandard. Think about high school cafeteria food. Some meals were not delivered, causing my father to have to order out. A large percentage of the breakfast meals were delivered without toast. Missing items per the order submitted is a regular occurrence. * The cleaning of the apartment is supposed to take place weekly. Sometimes weeks have gone by without a cleaner coming to the apartment. Cockroaches have been seen inside the apartment. * The care of my mother who is bedridden is supposed to be completed by 2 caregivers as per the contract. This has rarely been the case. This is my personal observation by my weekly visits on Sunday mornings. 90% of the time, there is only one caregiver, forcing my father who can barely stand to help. This puts both of my parents in jeopardy. As a side note, the caregivers that come to my parents' apartment are great with them, giving them the best care they can though in many instances are untrained and have had to be shown how to care for my mother by my sisters. By the words of the caregivers themselves, they are constantly shorthanded. Look elsewhere!

Every professional here is always approachable and they can't do enough for me as to my comfort and care and get this...I am part of the conversation! They know that because I am sick or with all the concerns that I have, I'm still deserving of respect. I feel valued...wow, again! Besides medical services or care attention, I am offered non-solicited and genuine conversation and actually look me in the eyes when conversing. What? Yes....it's true! It's a nice feeling being respected and knowing that what I say actually still matters. I can go on and on and believe me, if I had the time and strength, I would...because these folks ( Gigi is my favorite if I had to pick one ) are over the top professional while forwarding comfort and compassion, offered and delivered with a warm hand. I have been around, folks....I have had relationships with other temporary residents in these sorts of facilities. What I am saying is that I wish someone took the time to write a non-biased and accurate review that I possibly could have read and my last 3 or 4 facilities would have never happened. Someone would have actually read it and told me as, to be honest, I do not have computer accessibility. I have another week or so here still and I had to ask a few times, how can I thank these people for all they have done for me and continue to do....a niece told me about YELP and she found it and let me type away on her computer gadget here. Anyway... we are all in this together and I feel good writing this in hopes this helps someone else. Time to go....dinner is served! ; ) Tim P. (Phoenix, AZ.)

Having worked…read morewith her a few months ago, I can say she was an extraordinarily loving, patient, and empathetic leader -- the kind of advocate this facility needs. I don't blame her for leaving at all. What concerns me most is something I witnessed firsthand: while waiting to speak with her, I overheard a conversation between her and the executive director. His tone was belittling, and he spoke about writing up and firing staff in a way that felt dismissive of the people actually doing the caregiving. Given that, it's hardly surprising how many memory care directors have come and gone. It's worrying to think this same leadership will be opening a new, state-of-the-art center -- I have real concerns about whether the culture behind the scenes matches the polish out front. I don't typically write reviews, but after learning Laurin had left and seeing firsthand how unsanitary and rundown the common areas have become, I felt I owed it to other families to speak up. This is memory care -- the residents here are especially vulnerable, and I think that raises the stakes on all of this considerably.
