Crooked nails looking nothing like alike... a fill, but I could still see the bottom near my cuticle...

What a sweet lady that did my nails but omg a gel x refill took an HOUR AND A HALF. And like many others reviewing nails are very crooked and do not look like each other!!. It just does not make sense how something so simple took that long. I'm tired of being stuck in situations like that.... I wanted to walk out as soon as it hit an hour. My nails shape is ugly :/ I'd definitely avoid this place in the future...

I read the reviews there after. I just moved to the area and have been in search of a good salon. This is across the street from where I reside so I figured I'd give it a shot. Number one they overcharged me and I had to go back and pick up cash Number two my nails are so inconsistent. It's embarrassing. I paid for a new set and a Russian manicure A Russian manicure is a dry manicure of the cuticle That's not what I got, they had me soak my hands and water Each one of my nails is going one way or the other and acrylic is very uneven spreading ugly. I am extremely disappointed. I paid for nail takeoff, new set, manicure, pedicure, and wax for $200 plus tip. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere Although they did offer to fix it. Why would I go back somewhere that every nail is extremely inconsistent?

My daughter and her friend (french nail) visited Phoenix Salon recently, but unfortunately, the results were not what we expected. The shaping of the nails was sloppy, and the overall quality wasn't great. We appreciate that the owner allowed them to come back for a repair the next day, but even then, the work was only slightly improved. Additionally, the service took over an hour, which felt excessive for the results. While we value the effort to make it right, we hope the salon can improve its techniques and efficiency moving forward. I also did offer to pay additional for any add ons that might be incurred. I completely get that this is post COVID and businesses have suffered. I would just like transparency on nail techs strong suits. I've provided an inspo of the french time we hoped for.

Had the silver package manicure pedicure and that was so relaxing and needed! They also have a massage chair in addition to a water massage foot bath. Spent $51 for the combo which is a slight more price than my usual spot but omg was I relaxed. Hot towels on my arms and some scrubs for my arms and legs. I feel like a million Bucks and a new human! 11/10 recommend this nail spa

Sylvie made my broken toe nail look great with her talents and gave me an amazing pedicure with a great massage. Having a pedicure and all these grooming essential services were on hold for an entire year dues to the worldwide pandemic. As vaccines are more available to more people & a lowered rate of community Covid infections, California has slowly reopened these types of businesses. Kelly the manager has kept in touch by text to create and confirm appointments. I appreciate the cautious response to reopening. Masks are required and there is the temperature check as you enter. I feel human again after several weeks from the last time I was here.

Walked in recently and Mai seemed to be in a rush for my mani pedi gold combo. Cut my skin twice, no reaction or apology. Thankfully I wasn't bleeding. Massage was horrible- basically just kept rubbing oil on the same spot of my leg for only a little over 8 min instead of 10 min. Didn't ask if the temp of the hot towel was ok, just wrapped it on my legs and arms and I had to tell her to take it off it was too hot. Once the sea gel was rubbed on she immediately wiped it off with the hot towel after a couple of seconds. After she was finished, didn't bother to hand me back my sandals which she placed against the wall of the chair. One of the worst experiences. read more

My first time, as I am new to the area. Cindy and Lucy are AMAZING! Cindy did an awesome job with my eyebrows and pedicure. Loved the cute nail design. My massage was so relaxing, I almost fell asleep. Lucy turned my ugly uneven nails into nicely manicured short nails. The salon is clean, plenty is space for social distancing , plexiglass between stations, I felt very safe. I love that there are options for services and they did not try to upsell additional services. I will definitely return! read more

Silvie was great and so much fun to be around, she has a great personality and I enjoyed my spa pedicure. I included a callus removal which was true that I needed. The massage chair is amazing and it wasn't crowded at all. This place is a gem! I will be coming here often. read more

This is a great nail salon! I live in Seal Beach and have frequented it for the past four years. Always clean, post pandemic friendly, and my favorite technician is SYLVIE who gives AWESOME pedicures! She listens and really makes her clients feel like she's happy that we're there. I gave up on my manicures a while ago (my retail job destroys them!) so my biweekly pedicures with Sylvie are my favorite indulgence for my poor aching retail feet. I've been coming to Phoenix for about 5 years now. I love it here! It's very clean, the staff is always so nice, and they have a great color selection. I typically see Bella who keeps my nails on point but I've see a few other nail techs like Sarah and Cindy, who are great too! If you're going for a pedi, ask for David- he's the absolute best in the game. read more

I happened to be watching football on a Sunday morning and needed my nails done. My last service started peeling less than two after I had it done. Phoenix was able to get me in that day without an appointment. I had a dip manicure and spa pedicure. I will absolutely be back again and again! I can't recommend Annie for the dip manicure enough. She listened to the shape, thickness, and color I wanted. I also can't recommend Sylvie enough for a relaxing pedicure -- took her time and was gentle. She also listened and cut my nails down. I found my new salon!!! read more

I got a Staph (skin) infection on my toes here, and required to take one week of antibiotics. I contacted the owner and her response was I will make double sure with all my technicians thsnk you fir letting us know. I appreciate it very much. We do sterilize all of our metal equipment and all the files buffers and liners are 100% disposable. ** your loyalty is very important to us and especially at this time of difficulties. And that was it... not even a follow up. I know I got it from a pedicure because the staph infection is at locations when the technician buffed my nail and skin a little too much. And I have very good hygiene as I'm a mother of two toddler under age 3. read more

Apart from the atmosphere and champagne the ladies have treated me so well which is why I been going here for over 2 years. I wanted to get acrylic nails for a special event and so I made an appointment at Phoenix Nails. I have been going to Phoenix Nails for many years, because they always do an excellent job and it lasts a long time. I also love that appointments can be set up with a text! I sent a text in the morning and got an appointment right away. I decided to splurge since it had been so long and cut the nails and a pedicure. Sylvie did an awesome pedicure and took great care of me. My toes look amazing! See also got rid of all of my calluses and my feet feel smoother than they have in a long time. Maria did my nails and they turned out exactly how I wanted them! My hand looks so feminine now with the pretty pink. Thank you Phoenix nails and especially Sylvie and Maria! read more

Very nice staff. They do not talk to loudly and are always very friendly. They do not try to up sell, I like that. They treat everyone, including my five year old, with respect. The shop is always clean and looks nice. No TVs, pleasant music playing, very relaxing. I get gel. It always looks great and lasts. They have a great gel color selection and have dip services with a decent amount of colors to choose. I have been here a few times and have never left unhappy with the services I received. read more

What an experience! Came here on my birthday to get a mani and pedi before my birthday celebration. I got the 5 star treatment! I was greeted by the front associate with a smile and asked what I wanted done. I told her a mani and pedi as well as hinted it was my birthday. They sure did roll out the red carpet. I got seated on my spa chair and was offered water or coffee. They made feel very comfortable and what's great is they did not try to up sell me (which is great)! Got my nails done by Sarah. I wanted something that lasted awhile and did not chip. She recommended the powder nails. Has natural ingredients which makes your nails strong as well as give it nutrients. Let me tell you it has been 2 weeks and my nails still look the same as I first got them! Overall, I will be returning! read more

I was searching for a new nail salon to try out and found this gem via Yelp. I called to see if I can make a same day appt and they were able to accommodate me. When I arrived I was treated very well! The woman at the front desk helped me to my seat, explained the different packages, and was very kind. It was a great first impression of the salon!! Sylvie did my pedicure/manicure and she was amazing!! She took her time throughout the process and the outcome was superb! I will definitely be retuning back! read more

Updated review AFTER I left the salon: save yourself the trouble and do not tell them you have a Yelp account! When the nail artist asked me if I had Yelp and I said yes, she would not let me leave until I wrote a nice review in front of her. I kept telling her I would be happy to write one when I got home, but she wouldn't let me check out or get up without seeing my review posted. She took my phone and took a picture of my hands on it, and waited for me to write a glowing review. It made me incredibly uncomfortable. read more

Sylvie is absolutely amazing!!! Long time between pedicures and avid runner. Found this little gem next to Vons with a beautiful eyebrow threading salon only a few doors down. Sylvie is a true professional, kind hearted, so welcoming, and very skilled. It was my first time in but felt like a regular :) Helped get my feet looking and feeling beautiful again (problem areas fixed!!!!)...time for another Half!!! I really wanted to like this place. The hostess was polite and accommodating but in the end it's about the product and it completely wasn't worth what I paid. For a french with dipping powder with NO manicure. I paid 58 dollars. 50 dollars for dip. 3 dollars for Covid surcharge. 5 dollar tip becuase you have to leave something. The dipping powder didn't even last a week before it started to chip and crack. It should last at least 3 weeks. The nail tech treated me like a fast food order. No attention to detail. And left with cell phone in hand before I was out the door. I definitely will not be back. Never have I paid almost 60 dollars for nails that didn't even last a week and with no manicure. They wanted seven dollars more for water and cleaning up cuticles. Are they clean....yes. Many safeguards are in place. But the service does not match the price tag read more

Reviews were accurate and I will be back! Judy took excellent care, returned my call and knows her skill! She over saw all the work making sure I was happy! No communication issues! Polish was horrible! I'm sorry but I said to him please polish from cuticle to tip...he didn't get it and used tiny brush strokes leaving uneven polish and where he removed gel and wiped with alcohol he didn't even wipe off the white residue. For a 20.00 polish this SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE! Every time I go in it's chatter amongst everyone and they look at you. Again not professional but I'm sure they try. Manager is very strict and won't budge. read more

I had really high hopes for this salon. They've won gold for the city's best of, they had mostly great reviews, and I was referred by a friend. So I was super excited to find a good nail place. Making the appointment was super easy. The environment was very friendly. My concern was the nail tech who did my nails and her technique. I got a full set of acrylic and they have no apex/structure to them. I showed her a reference picture and the only thing she did was listen to the shape I wanted. I wanted the maroon tip with the light nude that is in one of the pictures provided. After she finished shaping the nails, she started painting them with a pink base which I did not want. She said it won't show too pink so I was waiting for the outcome. But once she finished the second coat they were way too pink for the maroon tips. At this point I've already been there for too long so I told her to just continue with a regular french tip. I didn't notice the lack of structure until she was done. The nails are fine and look okay from a distance, but I don't think I'll be going again. Note: As I was getting my nails done, my husband was getting a pedicure. He said most of it was fine, but something he found odd was during his leg massage the tech used too much lotion and put some of the lotion on her own legs, rubbed it in then proceeded to massage his legs. Pretty sure that's not very sanitary. We both will not be going, and will do more research next time. read more

Watching her go from renting a suite at Sola to opening her own beautiful studio in Cypress has been one of the coolest things to witness. As one of her longtime clients, I couldn't be more proud of everything she's accomplished. She has worked incredibly hard for this, and it shows. One thing about Pauline is that she's always been consistent. She confirms appointments the day before, communicates if anything changes, and always respects her clients' time. And because my lashes grow at an absolutely ridiculous speed (our ongoing inside joke ), she's squeezed me in for mini fills and even helped me through the occasional lash emergency whenever she could. I never take that for granted because I know how busy she is. What I don't think enough people talk about is the experience. There's something about laying on her lash bed (RIP to the hydraulic one... and no, Pauline didn't break it IYKYK) that immediately makes me feel at peace. Life has thrown me plenty over these last 5 years, and somehow every appointment becomes a chance to pause, breathe, and leave everything outside that room for a little while. In my last review, I said Pauline was one of my safe spaces. 5 years later... she still is. When I really sat down to think about it, I realized Pauline has quietly been there through almost every chapter of my adult life. She made me feel beautiful for every milestone, every celebration, every vacation, every heartbreak, and every fresh start. She was there through my divorce. She was there while I was picking myself back up. She was there when I found my person. She was there before my trips to Japan, Korea, Thailand, Paris, and so many other places; making sure I looked and felt my absolute best before every adventure. Looking back at photos from all those memories, there's a little piece of Pauline in every single one of them. That may sound silly to some people, but to me, it's a reminder that she's been part of my journey for years. As a mom, she's continued providing services for my daughter, Ava, and there honestly isn't anyone else I'd trust. Seeing Ava build her own relationship with Pauline over the years has been really special, and that's something that means so much to me. I genuinely look forward to every appointment. The positive energy is always there. Somehow we manage to unpack everything happening in our lives during each visit, and I'm incredibly grateful that somewhere along the way my lash artist became one of my closest friends. I love watching her continue to grow, and I know this is only the beginning for her. What amazes me most is that after all these years, every appointment still feels like my very first one. She has never lost that welcoming, genuine, caring personality that made me feel comfortable the day we met. Whether you've been seeing her for years or you're walking into her studio for the first time, she treats everyone with the same kindness, patience, and attention to detail. They have hand sanitizer right by the entrance and a digital check in screen which makes things feel organized and easy. The TVs were playing Indian music videos which adds a little personality without trying too hard. For eyebrow threading, they seat you in one of the four chairs in the main area. They do have private rooms for services like waxing, facials, and henna, but brows happen right out front. As soon as I sat down, she started the service. I would have appreciated a quick check in about how I like my brows shaped, but she was gentle, took her time, and the end result was totally fine. Not life changing, not disappointing, just exactly what I needed for a clean up. The price matches the experience which I appreciate because it is affordable and predictable. This is not a spa style brow experience. Nobody is offering tea or turning down the lights. This is the kind of place where you can get your brows done quickly, affordably, and be back in your car in ten minutes. And sometimes that is the perfect mood.

And i am so happy that I decided to do so. Nancy did my Brazilian and was very detail oriented and quick. She used the hot wax and paper method with small sections. I appreciate the small sections she did! The salon it self was very inviting, beautiful, and relaxing. They offer other services like body and scalp massages, mani and pedis, and even lash extensions and semi permanent makeup. Cannot wait to schedule my next session!

I took my boyfriend to Phoenix nails for the 1st time for his and hers pedicures. Kelly was very accommodating to us even though it was a spur of the moment visit. Even during a rolling blackout power outage, the nail techs found a way to keep going with our treatments. We enjoyed a couple of beverages during our relaxing visit. Phoenix Nails is my go to nail salon and now my boyfriend also feels comfortable visiting this establishment. I do suggest if you love the nail color you choose, have them write the polish number next to the date on your Loyalty/rewards card. read more

I recently visited this horrible salon and unfortunately had a disappointing and painful experience. During my manicure, the nail technician was overly aggressive with the tools and ended up making my finger bleed. It was a small whole, but it was painful and concerning. The staff seemed inexperienced and didn't handle the situation well. They didn't offer any proper first aid or apology, which was surprising and quite unprofessional. They have throw away liners and throw away The nail files after they use them on you. They were also great with my daughter and gave her free designs for her 4th birthday!!!!
