I arrived early for my appointment which gave us time to discuss the locations of discomfort, diet/exercise regime, current emotional state and massage preferences. Based on my current issues, she combined traditional massage (shiatsu?,) myofascial release and energy healing. During the treatment, she checked in with me to ensure the pressure was comfortable and adjusted when I felt pain. Soft music played in the background, a specifically selected essential oil blend was diffused and at some point I was so relaxed I fell asleep. She gently woke me up to let me know the massage had ended. We sat down afterwards to talk through thoughts that arose during the energy work portion, had a glass of water and she suggested a few things I could do to improve my back/emotional state. I left with a roller of the essential oil that was selected for my session. It's rare to find a Massage Therapist who combines aromatherapy, massage and Reiki into one holistic treatment.
