I really wanted a change with my hair and do a wolf cut. I looked around at all the local hair salons and choose Level Seven because of its positive reviews and feedback. I made an appointment online, which you need a credit card to make a deposit. If you cancel with 24 hours or less you will be charged a $25 fee. I never met the stylists before so I chose Tristina because her availability matched with mine. The salon was very clean upon arriving and Tristina was the best. She was super sweet and very confident in her work. I explained how I wanted the wolf cut and a few examples from photos I found online. She advised that she loves doing dramatic cuts, I was cutting a significant amount of hair off, and that she does wolf cuts all the time. I felt relieved because it was going to be a big change and I wanted my hair to be easy to style and have a lot of fun layers. She did an amazing job. It's been over a week since I had my cut and I still love how beautifully layered it is. I would recommend seeing Tristina for your next cut. read more

Great salon! Love this place. Smail is one of the best stylists in the area. My hair is color treated and naturally already on the brassy side. Smail talked me through the different options in order to achieve the look I was aiming for. I ended up doing a full head of highlights with an ashy toner. It's not necessarily the cheapest place, but the service is great and the website makes it extremely easy to book. I love this salon and definitely recommend going here. read more

I only discovered this place because of the groupon even though its five minutes from my house!! This place is a hidden gem. You walk in and are immediately greeted and even offered tea or coffee. Talk about vip treatment! The waiting area is comfortable, quiet and clean. (Unlike allot of salons) the staff is Extremely friendly and courteous. When I went to get my hair done, as a black woman, I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to get it right or they would take too long. I've been to other Paul Mitchell salons where it has taken over two hours and I still left frizzy. However, Michelle did a wonderful job in a timely manner and she was so sweet and personable. I was honestly impressed. I also stayed for a wax and was pleasantly surprised that they actually use a sensitive skin wax and don't just claim they do like most salons in the area. I was looking for someone to tackle my long hair, and had not been to any salons in the Phoenixville area. I found this place on Yelp, and then saw there was a Groupon. Honestly, my first time using a Groupon as well, but what a fantastic deal. I'll admit it, I was very nervous about the cut. I do not consider my long layers particularly challenging (of course, I could never do it), but I've had hair dressers screw them up pretty bad through the years. Michelle did a wonderful job with the cut. She took an appropriate amount of length off the end, and I left with my hair feeling much healthier and looking fantastic. Shame that I immediately walked out into 25 mph blustery fall winds, but hey, my hair looked stellar for those 30 seconds I walked from the check-out counter and out the front door. This place is new, and the location is just outside of town. It's actually on a stretch of Rt. 23 that's honestly a little depressed. But maybe it'll mark the start of a boon. The facilities are quite nice on the inside. You can tell that the owner takes pride in her salon and the work that she does. Michelle was very accommodating with schedule around my hectic life, and she took me on time. Using the Groupon special, the price could not be beat. I'll probably go back for future haircuts, although the typical charge for a cut is a little higher than other salons in the area. It may cause me to push off my appointments a little longer than I ordinarily would. read more

Michelle went out of her way to accommodate us (her and another stylist were in by 8am on Saturday morning) and our hair turned out so well! I am relatively new to Phoenixville and decided to check out Level Seven based on its overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! I was the final appointment of the day (6:45 p.m.) on the eve of our fourth Nor'easter in just about as many weeks. I needed a haircut badly and do not have a tremendously flexible schedule, so I really appreciated that the staff waited for me even as the snow started picking up. Even once I arrived, I did not feel rushed in the slightest. Smail took the time to chat with me for a few minutes before he got started, which was a pleasant surprise. He offered some opinions and advice as to what he could do for my hair, and then he took his time with my haircut -- again, even despite the late hour and the mounting snow outside. All the while, he engaged me in very nice conversation about both my life and his own. After I was finished, good care was taken to make sure I did not overpay (since the website required a deposit to hold the appointment slot) and I still never felt even a little bit rushed or that they were annoyed I was there. I hardly ever write reviews for places that are not restaurants, but Level Seven deserves all the praise it can get. Highly recommended for excellent, professional service. read more

If I could give this salon a negative number, I would. DO NOT GO THERE! This review is not just about the bad haircut, it's about the owner's deceit. I went into the salon on a Saturday and ask when there would be availability. I said that I had never been there before and when I go to a new place (my old salon retired), I am very picky and like to have the owner cut my hair (because I feel that they are vested). I said that I like my hair really short. The woman identified herself as the owner, but said that she doesn't have availability. She suggested that I book an appointment with the gentleman that was sitting behind the counter and that he is a very good stylist for short hair. I booked my appointment for the following day with the gentleman. He started "dry" cutting my hair, which I found VERY odd and that should have been my first RED FLAG! It took him 1 hour and 23 minutes to cut my hair. During my cut, he began explaining that he was just an 'assistant' at the salon and hadn't cut many people's hair. He kept repeating that when he is finished, if I don't like my hair, he wouldn't be offended if I went to someone else the next time! When I got home, I was HORRIFIED!!!!! I had originally explained to him that I usually wear my hair spiked up or I just let it fall down into bangs. Words cannot even describe how uneven the front, and sides of my hair looked. I had to have a friend 'touch up' the front. it IS about getting a BAD haircut, but its ALSO about the OWNER recommending someone that was not capable or experienced at cutting hair. read more

Level Seven creates an awesome atmosphere for anyone to come in and get whatever suits their needs. As a guy, going to a "salon" wasn't high on my priority list. However, I decided to check this place out after calling and speaking with Michelle, the owner. I'm glad I did, it wasn't at all what I expected. From the moment you walk in either Alison or Michelle greet you with a smile. They do an awesome job of making sure that you're comfortsble. I am from out of town and needed a place for a blowout for a bridal shower and bachelorette. I did some yelping and found this place. I was very nervous as I have thick curly hair and let very few people touch it but Michelle (the owner) did an amazing job! Michelle recently did my hair and makeup for a photo shoot and did an excellent job! She was easily able to give my fine hair a lot of volume. My skin has been a challenge lately and she was able to cover up any blemishes and did an amazing job making my eyes pop. She is very professional but also easy going and easy to talk to, so it was truly fun to spend the afternoon with her.
