He asked me to test fit it and on the second try they nailed it. He even spray painted it after. To take the time with a walk in customer, then also redo it again was unheard of in today's world. I was quoted 600$ for 4 hours. Next day I came in to check it out and seen the inside crack being ignored, basically a plate just covered the damage instead of being fixed then reinforced. Vic then told me they will make sure full crack is welded and not to worry. I then wait for a call and received news so bad I had to call police. I arrived to shop where I was told I am to pay 2000$. I was completely shocked as no written agreement was signed only to go by his word. Police arrived as Vic has no communication skills, laughed in my face, kicked me out of shop. I then wait for 4 police cars to arrive. The police were able to talk to him and he told me either pay or he will cut off all his work. I said ok cut it off let me have my truck and we split ways. He then backed off his word and demanded I pay the original 600$. I then told him ok whatever. I wanted him to cut it off to show I don't respect them at all so they can use that as a ornament in his office. Let me tell you seeing him changing the work order price from 2000$ to original 600$ was so satisfying as he believed he could get over on me. Lastly I spoke with my school UNIVERSAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE and they told me they were not appreciative of that and they were going to take the matter seriously as he has contracts to build trainers for the school. Learning lesson is do not trust no one. Get written receipts for all things and don't trust them. Last thing to mention is I went to high school with his son, me and Vic are both prior military and we are both latinos. If you treat your own people like this how do you treat your other customers.

I wasn't thrilled with the work overall after the job was completed, but they completed it quickly, which was important to me at the time, and I appreciated that. Regardless, the issue that prompted this review is worth knowing about if you're considering them. The irrigation timer was originally wired into the electrical panel using 18-gauge wire on a 30-amp breaker, buried directly in the ground without conduit. A licensed electrician later flagged this as a fire hazard and not to code; the wire was far too small for that breaker. When I raised it, Francisco did come back and redo the work at no charge, this time with proper wire in conduit, which I'll give him credit for. The problems were in how it went. When I raised the electrical concern in writing, his response referred dismissively to my "little letter." When they arrived on site to complete the remediation work, my tenant explicitly told the crew they didn't have permission to begin remediation work, at my direction, as we had not yet agreed on the scope and who would be performing the remediation work. They proceeded anyway. For an investment property where I coordinate access in advance, a contractor entering and starting work over the occupant's stated objection is a serious problem. The crew also broke the irrigation valve cover instead of unlocking it. The work ultimately got done and the electrical is now safe. But between an initial installation that wasn't to code, work performed without authorization after being told no, avoidable property damage, and the general unprofessionalism, I won't be hiring them again. If you do work with them, get your scope and access protocols in writing and document the property condition before and after they're on site.

I suggest if you have specific instructions you want followed...make sure to be there when the work is being done and check on them often. because, On both of the first two jobs, even though people were repeatedly told what you needed of them, once they're supervisor left or left, they ignored the very specific instructions. The whole crew was given and decided to do what they thought should be done instead. Don't get me wrong. They did a good job, eventually but they had to redo some stuff because they didn't follow instructions. Which was just frustrating. However as its hard to find good people to do manual labor, i dealt with it. This next job will be a tub to shower conversion. As it will most likely be 1 person on the job, it should be easier to make sure things are done the way i need it done.
