10/10 would recommend (again) -- this is my second time in a row hiring Biltmore Mechanical Heating & Cooling over the years for my AC unit, and both times they were life-savers -- quick responses, knowledgeable & kind technicians, preventative advice, and able to come fix my AC unit quickly This time, Flores responded to our night-time request and offered to schedule a next day or late-night (urgent/emergency) appointment. We opted to wait til the next morning and Rene showed up at 6:30AM, replaced our AC unit's motor (quicker than expected), hosed down our unit, and offered great advice for maintenance and what to expect moving forward. Last time (a couple years ago), Flores also showed up quickly and repaired our unit, was so helpful and did a great job accommodating our budget as best as he could. Both experts felt safe and professional. With unbearable summer heat causing so many AC issues around the Valley, it can be hard to get someone to fix AC units to the house quickly, and they haven't disappointed yet. Noticed our AC was not working at 9pm at night, sent out a yelp request and Biltmore responded quickly and said they could be out first thing in the morning. Rene showed up, diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem in less than 2 hours. Great service and we never feel like we're being ripped off when we use their services. After a recommendation of a good friend, we reached out to Biltmore Mechanical to see if we could get a second opinion on our AC unit that stopped working abruptly! They came out the same day to just look at the unit and automatically found a leak that was causing our AC to not work. They were able to give us a few quotes so we could choose what we wanted to do at this point. They were extremely kind and worked very hard in the AZ summer heat to fix this leak within a few hours! Starting to get warm and had to use our ac last night... it started off working and blowing cold air but quickly the air turned warm. We wanted to get fixed today (Saturday) because I like it cold when I sleep. I called around to 3 places and Biltmore air was so responsive and friendly, we decided to try them out. Biltmore Mechanical Heating and Cooling did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing issues with my HVAC system. David discovered that the main panel for my Lennox thermostat was on a locked setting--something two other companies failed to figure out. One company wanted to charge me $1,600 for an unnecessary part, while another company couldn't figure it out. David also found that my mini-split just needed a refrigerant refill. Other company said I needed to replace my mini-split system for $7,000. I really appreciated his knowledge, honesty, and fair pricing. read more

Probably the best service and response time I've ever experienced. AC started blowing warm at 6:30pm on a Friday night - worst case scenario. Called at 7:07pm - David was at my doorstep at 7:13pm. Replaced the capacitor and our AC was back up and running by 7:26pm. House is cooling again and for a very honest price - especially late on a Friday night when it's 100 degrees. Long story shortened, had one of the "big companies" out for routine maintenance and quoted me and outlandish price to repair 4 items. A friend recommended David at Biltmore Mechanical, and I couldn't be more thankful he did! Basically he said 3 of the parts need to be monitored, but not replaced yet. I'm not kidding people, the big company quoted me $830 per capacitor to replace for a total of $3320 plus the $600 for the maintenance on my 5 units! Our 14 year old York heat pump / air conditioner was running but seemed like it wasn't putting out as much cold air as normal. I also had condensation water collecting in the compressor section. I texted David in the morning and he came to the house about 12:30 p.m. the same day. He hooked up his gauges and determined that all the numbers were good. He also checked volts / amps / capacitor, etc. - also all good. He indicated that the condensation water in the compressor section was normal for humid conditions and that it was nothing to be concerned about. He concluded that the unit was in good operating condition and that there was nothing to be done. I appreciated his friendliness, good attitude and honesty - he's a hard working guy. So my AC broke suddenly and was no longer blowing out cool air. I picked Biltmore Mechanical because it was the only business listed as being right in my neighborhood. Well, I called the next day and David showed up after I got off work--in fact he happened to be early. Very un-repairman like, LOL. Well, first off, David is a genuinely nice guy which is important to me. He also never made me feel weird as a female asking him to explain the mechanics of the problem and how the AC unit operates in general. My AC broke down and blew only hot air on the worst day you can imagine, the 4th of July. I was already thinking about all the voice mails I would have to leave to get a response next day and that I would probably have to "sweat it out" till next day. David was my first call and imagine, he actually answered the phone. At first he said he had not planned to take any calls (because of July 4th obviously), but he decided to come out anyway.
