When we made plans for my father's burial on June 30th, we were horrified at the state of neglect of the place. The roads are full of ruts, and the roads at the back side of the cemetary where my father's plot is are dirt roads, which became muddy and water-logged after some recent storms. There are piles of vaults and construction equipment sitting out in the front of the cemetary, with no attempt to hide them from view. Not very inviting. The representative who met with us to plan the burial, Tonya, was useless. Showed up late to the appointment, had us wandering all over the dangerously uneven, unkempt grass searching for the plot marker. She eventually showed us what turned out to be the wrong plot. The day of the funeral, Tonya did not keep one of her promises. She did not show up early to make sure everything was set up properly. In fact, she didn't show up at all. The promised canopy over the grave ended up being a huge ugly aluminum structure with fabric down one side like a backdrop. It offered no protection from the 95 degree noonday heat. The promised cooler of water for the mourners was not provided. Mourners had to walk through the dangerously uneven grass to get to the grave, because the road was too muddy to park close by. The mourners had to huddle around a tree across the road from the grave to stay out of the heat of the sun, since no canopy was provided. It was humiliating and embarrassing for our family to have our friends see what a dump we were burying my Dad in. He was a good man who deserved much better than this. Since the burial we've received nothing but excuses and dodges from Tonya and Stone-Mor, the corporation that owns the cemetary. I'm horrified to think that we may have to go through all this again when my mother passes. I expect no improvements will ever be made, given that the state of the property indicates decades of neglect. What a shame that Stone-Mor only views this as an investment property, and refuses to acknowledge their obligation to the people who are in that cemetary, as well as the families that love them. Shame on Tonya and Stone-Mor.

I personally have never arranged a funeral with this group (or ever) but I wouldn't hesitate to do so when the time comes. Perhaps even before with pre-arrangements. Located in Trappe at the intersection Ridge and 113 it's conveniently located, they have a generous parking lot as well in the rear of the building. On each occasion I've been greeted with traffic police to help me into and out of the parking lot. Outside of the building there is a fish pond at the entrance. The interior is simple, soothing and elegant. All staff, in my experience, has been dignified, professional and pleasant to the guests. I plan to have my own final arrangements here.

Our funeral director, Dan Gregori, was amazing. Even though we had just met, Dan felt like a close family member and just seemed to always know the right words to say as we took each step along the way and on the painful days of her viewing and burial services. Burying a child is not something you plan for and we were overwhelmed initially, but when we found Dan and his team at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero, we immediately felt we had the right team to support our family in our darkest hours. We could not recommend Dan Gregori and his staff at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero more. Thank you for caring for our family!
