Called the Phone Zone COLD CALL (no recommendations) and got a gentleman by the name of Steven. Went in with a phone that was dropped into the water (salt water) and was it the water for about an hour and a half, had to have a guy dive down and get it. The iPhone had not been backed up. Steven said let us see what we can do to retrieve your data from the phone. After about two hours with his tech guy, Steven called me back to inform me they were successful. The phone is trashed, but they they were able to put some parts in temporarily, to get it turned on to retrieve the data. The phone was insured, so we were able to get the phone replaced, and then all the data transferred to the replacement phone. The little woman of the house is extremely happy. And, so am I!!! I saw their reviews on yelp and got a quote to repair my iphone13. They deserve 6 or 7 stars instead of 5. First of all ,their prices are the best I found and their screen repair work is top notch! I had just received my iPhone 13 and when I was going to put on my Otter Box, the phone slipped out of my arthritic hand and the screen cracked on the tile floor. Other shops told me $185+ to replace the screen so I waited a few days and then went to yelp because I could not stand looking through the cracks! Steven and his crew are so courteous and genuinely friendly in the best customer service way. This iPhone is a refurbished one from Amazon and I paid more to get their top level refurbishment product. The screen the Phone Zone put on looks much better than the one it came with! Honestly, they are so nice in addition to having great technical skills, you should trust them for screen replacement or other repairs. You can not do any better for price and quality. Broke my record by breaking my phone . . . At 50, and having a phone as far back as I can recall, I was lucky enough to have never broken a phone or need repair before. Currently have a Note9 and just about every Note model since their release, and unfortunately dropped it late Saturday on a rough/rocky gravel surface, where a number of protruding rocks did a number on my screen (flat drop). Shame on me, since I usually have good screen protection, which I had just removed a week earlier (another story). After the break, everything worked, but with several impact points and cracks throughout (and glass shards in my finger), I needed to get it fixed. Called Phone Zone this morning, they had stock available, quoted a fair price and timeframe. With solid reviews, decided to entrust them. They did a thorough before and after test, with visible and functional results as good as new. Friendly, fast and very happy with the results. I was so worried when my screen broke and was shocked when I saw that apple wanted $140 to fix it. I was looking for phone repair places in my area, when I found phone zone. They were not the cheapest quote I got, but had the best reviews by far. Still, at the quoted price of $79.95, they were far cheaper than apple. I called around 4-5 different places and got the absolute best estimate from here!! I wish I remembered the man's name that worked on my phone but he was amazing. He was able to accept my cracked screen right then and there and only took him 30 minutes. My phone was like brand new. He even threw in a screen protector at a very affordable price. I know people that get their screen fixed and when they get their phone back something is always wrong, for instance, the camera doesn't work. My phone was in perfect functioning order. I have gotten my phone fixed at phone zone twice now. The first time I got it fixed it was just the screen because it was cracked. When I got it replaced I noticed 1, the color scheme of the screen was weird, it would have a slightly red tint at the top then fade into a slight green tint towards the bottom, and 2) a weird cut/slit right on the camera lens. The rep told me that it was because sometimes the screen doesn't 100% match up and they have to cut the replacement screen for the camera to match up. She offered to replace it again. The next one came out fine. I thought maybe I had just gotten a bad screen. I took it back again with a lot of problems. I needed a new front and back screen, back camera, and battery. He cut me a deal for it. It took ~6 hours. When I got my phone back, I noticed the slit in the camera again. Along with that however, I began noticing more problems. When I'm trying to take a picture, there is black fuzzy things on the screen, and I realized if I look in the back camera lens, I can see dust inside of it. Also, it only happens sometimes, but when taking a picture with the back camera either it will rock back and forth without me moving it, or the camera will move in a square pattern on its own. I don't know why or how, and I even showed my boyfriend to make sure I wasn't crazy. The back screen has black scratches, and I was told it was from it being done by hand. A big blue spot has developed on my screen and doesn't go away. Along with the physical problems, my location services have been completely altered, I can't even use my gps anymore because my location is never correct. On top of that, my service cuts out randomly and it was never like that before I picked it up and my boyfriend on the same plan never has problems with his service. Overall I've been dissatisfied with my service and the excuses, I feel, are bs. I've had various phone parts replaced by hand before many times, and never have I recieved such poor quality replacement parts. read more
