On the surface, Roger is a kind, friendly, hard working, diligent man who gets the job done for his customers the fastest he can. This can be said for the people who have easy fixes and/or communicate every single needed detail to him before he goes to work. When it comes to customers with complicated matters however, this is where it gets shaky. Very shaky. The great 1989 earthquake of San Francisco shaky. Donald Trump's reaction to Bad Bunny shaky. He becomes combative and defensive, as you can see on his replies on all the bad reviews here. I brought my Macbook to him on May 2024 because it kept freezing. He got it working again in about two weeks! Amazing!!! HOWEVER... what he decided to do WITHOUT MY CONSENT was upgrade my system. I never asked him to do such a thing. So in his defense, he said I should've told him from the beginning to not upgrade my computer. I didn't want an upgrade because my older programs I frequent would not work anymore with the new OS. So, what? Is it standard operating procedure for this to happen? Is it common knowledge? I never signed a contract, nor did he ever give a word stating he would upgrade my system if he ever saw the need for it. This was a continuous uphill argument that only gave me a worsening, worsening impression on him. As you can see, Roger does not practice the classic businessman's motto "the customer is always right". He did offer to fix things anyway at no additional cost. Thing is, I gave him my laptop to attempt reversing the upgrade in June 2024 and he kept it for ONE WHOLE YEAR. Within that year, I'd follow up with him every week. He apparently has been hospitalized, went to the Philippines and was having personal problems. I don't know which of those to believe. But long story short, I didn't receive my laptop back until early July 2025. There was no extra work done to it. It was in the same condition as when I handed it back to him a year prior with the updated OS. He even gave me a box for a new iPad, with no iPad inside it. Very funny Roger. People, I've come to learn he isn't registered with the BBB or the BHGS. He also blocked my phone number, as I was trying to reach out to him for at least a partial refund, and my text never said delivered. This guy used to argue that he did fix my system, and the amount I paid him covered that. But where's the customer satisfaction? I didn't get that AT ALL. The amount I paid him SHOULD include customer satisfaction. It's basic business principle isn't it? So behind the polite smile, the "God bless you", the "it warms my heart when you leave good reviews", this is what you'll get when something doesn't go your way. I'll never have my old Macbook the way it was again and my $372.35 was thrown in the trash. I'll never hear and edit the inspiring audio that I can only access with my old ProTools program. Nor could I ever see or edit the amazing photos I kept in my old Lightroom program ever again. Thank you Roger. Thank you for teaching me that my weakness in undercommunicating will cost me in the end. Thank you for adding an unanswered grievance to my life. This is one malpractice on your part Dr. Apple. And my heart goes out to the others that have been wronged under your care. read more

Honestly the best service ever! Not only does he give you advice he makes sure you use your insurance first, most honest business owner! He redid my 2012 Mac book and even thought it's old and bulky it's like a brand new computer! Asked him the same questions I had with a previous company and he took zero offense to me asking as many questions as I wanted, which really wasn't much to begin with. He quoted me a price over the phone, and made arrangements to drop it off to him. Roger kept me informed step by step without me even having to inquire about status updates and the machine was ready in less than 48 hours. It would've taken less time had I provided him with a compatible SSD that according to OWC was, but apparently not. Informed me of the warranty from the get, as long as you don't drop your phone he will cover the fix for free. I actually tend to be pretty careless with the iPhones I've had over the years just because I know this place exists. I made my third visit in the last 8 years or so and I've never been disappointed. Roger wasn't there last time but he's just as great as the others who have worked there before. He has great customer service and the work is high in quality and very quick and affordable. Best experience I have ever had with repair on anything ... and was almost the worst! I used the Yelp! pricing to fix a cracked screen on my iPhone 12 Pro and some place in Lemon Grove said $99 ... then jacked the price up to $129 ... so I went with Dr Apple for $140 ... not only was he professional and courteous with my time, but after fixing my screen he warned I should pick up a screen protector ... I said nah, I never have crackedmy screen before this ... welp, on my way to the car the phone slipped out of my hands and cracked again!!! I thought maybe this dude sold me a weak screen, but when I pressed on it, it did not crack any more, which showed me it was a quality screen. So I head back in and tell him what happened ... want to know what this dude did? He replaced the screen at cost and GAVE ME TWO FREE SCREEN PROTECTORS (one for wifey). I do not know too many vendors like this who value the business relationship over immediate profits but I will tell you this, if you need ANY Mac produt repaired in the South Bay ... definitely hit up Dr Apple!!! I forgot to write this earlier, but better late than never. My 2 year old threw my iwatch up against my fridge shattering the screen. Dr Apple was able to fix it and saved me hundreds compared to a new watch (700) or a fix via apple (600) for appx 200 bucks! Great service and even though it took a couple of weeks since they had order extra parts I will still use them again! I usually can do my own repairs I DIY and live with the consequences, but this time I though I look around and check prizes across the board. Once I called around and called DR. Apple he said something that none of the others said to me. With the fur intention of trying to help me out. My iPhone X had a manufacture defect where ghost touching would happen ( when the iPhone random open, closes, swipes & taps the screen ) But at the time I didn't know it was a manufacture defect.
