This is my second time going to Dr. Apple to get an iPhone repaired. Last time had a screen replaced on a Verizon iPhone 4. This time had the top power (sleep) button fixed and had the battery replaced on my AT&T iPhone 5. Set up an appointment via their Dr. Apple website. Came in a little early and they remembered me by name because of my previous visit. Their whole crew was there at their three work stations with Roger, Roger, and Eric. They seemed very busy today. Very professional dealing with the customers who came walking in as well as professionally answering the phone talking to callers who seemed to keep calling. This is a busy repair place that is apparently in high demand. It was interesting to watch them discuss fixing what looked like a non-apple tablet and giving a quote to a customer. They can fix various devices both Apple and non-Apple. So, yes, an iPhone can happily sit next to a Galaxy phone at this repair place without there being any apple-versus-android insults. This is apparently an equal opportunity repair place for people's gadgets. Anyways, they gave me their current combo price of $75 for fixing the top power button and to replace the battery. (Personally paid cash afterwards, but they also take PayPal.) For this repair, they said it would take 40 minutes to fix, but it seemed like that time went by quickly to me. You would have to check with them, but it seems best to set up an appointment online in order to get your phone fixed relatively quickly for you to take it out the door right away. If you walk in without an appointment, my guess is you could be looking at a somewhat longer turnaround time - particularly if they are very busy. My guess is if there is a backlog of repairs (meaning they are really very busy), then the turnaround time may be a day for walk-in customers without an appointment. That's my impression from sitting there on their comfy couch watching and listening to what was happening in this busy repair shop while waiting for my iPhone to be fixed. Anyways, check with them if you have an emergency repair to find out about their current turnaround time without an appointment. Personally, me would rather just set up an appointment online via their website. For my iPhone, had a bumper case that, of course, had to be taken off the iPhone in order to do the repair, but did NOT have to remove a tempered glass screen protector and did NOT have to remove a home button sticker-cover that were on my iPhone. And didn't have to unlock the iPhone. (Oh, they said they now also sell the tempered glass screen protector for iPhone.... Personally would have bought it from them if knew earlier!) Anyways, they did an excellent job. Very efficient and quick for my scheduled appointment for fixing my iPhone. After fixing my iPhone, they demonstrated to me that the top power button was now working fine as well as they told me that the battery was indeed changed. (Later, after playing with the repaired iPhone for a while, confirmed to myself that the new battery did not drain rapidly like the old battery.) Did my own testing of the phone before leaving to make sure the iPhone's microphone, speakers, bluetooth, headphone jack, cameras, etc. were all working properly. They all worked! Yea! Could have had the official Apple folks repair the top power button on my iPhone 5. However, that would mean sending the iPhone 5 to Apple and then waiting for the iPhone to be mailed back to me. Apple apparently doesn't do this inside their stores anymore for the iPhone 5. Sending it to Apple would probably take like at least several days or a week of waiting to get my iPhone back. Ugh. No. Well, personally would rather pay Dr. Apple to fix things for me and therefore get my iPhone back much more immediately. So, very happy with Dr. Apple completing this repair of a second iPhone for me - this time around for my current main primary AT&T iPhone 5. But still have yet another iPhone (a Sprint iPhone 4) for my mom that may eventually be brought in here to Dr. Apple in the future to replace its screen (which has some weird glue that seems to be coming off inside the screen in the corners). Needless to say, the folks here at Dr. Apple would be able to replace that screen like they did with the Verizon iPhone 4 that they previously fixed for me. Dr. Apple is so good in my opinion that they are indeed the "primary doctor" for my family's iPhones. read more

Had a situation with an iPhone. Called in and made an Appointment with the gentleman on the phone since they said they we are appointment only during the pandemic. As soon as I walked in I was met by a small dog named Mellow as the tech was behind the desk working and said please give me a minute. Then I got to meet Roger he mentioned he was the one that made the appointment for me. He went over a few things then mentioned in about 30 minutes he would have the device ready and due to the virus at the moment I had to wait in my vehicle which I understood. About 20 minutes later Roger came down mentioned the phone was done I walked back upstairs made payment I was on my way. Thanks again Roger phone looks great and amazing colors and I'll definitely come back if I break it again! I have gone through a number of gadgets and they have ended up in very bad conditions form heavy use and accidental gravity influence and impact on concrete. I took my iPhone 5, iPad and Macbook Pro on different instances to these guys and they had fixed all three before the end of the business day (way before they promised!). One thing to note is that they do not use low quality components - the screens that were used to replace my items look like original screen from the apple store, i compared both to my wife's devices and they are just as nice. The prices are great for the quality and service, i will (hopefully not have to) but if needed bring my other devices here if any more drops happen. DONT TAKE YOUR STUFF ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

First thing I gotta say is thank you to Dr.Apple for getting my phone fixed up in a quick flash, half an hour just like they said. I came in no appointment and asked and it was no problem. My iphone 6s Plus had a cracked screen from multiple drops, it was freakin out and opening apps by itself it was just a disaster. Now this is the second time I've been here last time they fixed up my iphone4. They gave me a great price and a bit of a hook up for being a repeat customer I super appreciate that. I don't know if they're the best but they are certainly among the better Apple repair stores. Long story short, I tripped over a curb and ended up slamming my iPhone 8 into the sidewalk. Pretty much totaled the screen. I took it to them and they replaced both the glass and the screen within an hour. After that, it worked fine for a couple of days but then I ran into this weird issue where touch inputs weren't registering correctly. I took it back to them and they appeared to have fixed it. At least, it hasn't given me any issues since then. Overall, I'm satisfied. They were fast and pretty professional. Only just disappointed they didn't get it done right perfectly the first time. read more

I came in with a friend and the man with dark hair did not know how to speak to customers. There was a woman who came in with a complaint that her phone messed up some time later after she came to Dr Apple to get a repair. So she brought it back to have it fixed again. Personally, I would not have asked them to fix it again, I would ask for a refund and go elsewhere. Instead of apologizing and comforting her, he barely said anything at all. Customers need a reassurance that employers are able to handle any issue that may occur. These guys do not assure anything. Don't waste your time here. Do your research and I guarantee you will find more reliable service for your buck. read more

I've fixed my phone twice with him, the first time I fix my cracked screen and then part of my screen stops working. The second time I fix that problem by getting my screen removed and the touch on the screen doesn't register that good and then there a crack on my screen within 3 days. I don't know if I it's the quality of products that he uses or what. I give him a call and explain calm and he has some attitude from the start. The only reason I don't give him a one star is because my girlfriend goes there and her stuff comes out pretty good, she has an iPhone 7. I have an older iMac desktop computer. A diagnosis at my local Apple Store in Eastlake revealed that my hard drive was failing. My computer was still in good shape. The Apple people wanted install a new head drive with the possibility that I would lose all my installed programs. I contacted Dr. Apple. They installed a new solid state drive and transferred my programs to the new drive. In addition, I am now running OS X Sierra and my computer is running great. As an added extra, I am a handicapped person. Dr Apple assisted me and my wife with getting my computer to and from the store. I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks for everything! read more

Yesterday at noon, I walked-in an iPad mini with a shattered screen. Roger said the mini would be repaired by closing at 5:00p. When the work was complete, he gave me a courtesy call to let me know the mini was ready. When I picked up the mini at 5:00p, it was repaired like new. Professional service, quick turnaround time, quality work at a very fair price. Checking-in via Yelp unlocks a 10% discount (yay!), so the cash price was $108 out the door. The receipt was emailed instantly, and a 180-day warranty of the work is stated right on the receipt. I highly recommend Dr. Apple & would not hesitate to return. read more

Had a serious scare with 2012 Mac Mini. Guys at Dr Apple treated panicked and woefully ignorant old geezer with care and compassion. What had burned up was, in fact, the monitor and not the computer. (Whew!) Dr Apple guys did accurate diagnostic testing and some reasonably priced cleaning with recommendations for types of monitors for clearest display. They contacted me with diagnostic results within a few hours of my drop off. Very impressive. Happy to recommend enthusiastically. read more

So a call later they infomed of the screen being replaced for $119 plus tax and also threw in a free tempered glass with a yelp check in. The best iPhone and iPod service in San Diego County. I have been an iPhone customer since 2007 and have dealt with various out of warranty repairs. By far this is the most Professional service in the Area. They also have cases and accessories like chargers and headphones at a fraction of the cost. Love this place. Straight forward and super legit. Had an iPhone 11 screen replacement. Roger also explained the situation and what else might be affected or damaged because other components besides the screen can break. After it was like new and ready to rock. The man working today was absolutely amazing! He offered us tempered glass for free and fixed my phone battery in under thirty minutes. He recommended high quality phone case brands and where to find them for cheap prices, instead of paying $50-60 dollars at the Apple Store or Bestbuy.
