The trainers, Nhu and Kristine are so knowledgeable and always make sure I have the proper form so I don't hurt myself.

After living in logan square for 5 years now the place has grown on me. I attended Lawndale gym ‍ back in 2007 due to where my job sent me. They had everything I required. Planet fitness doesn't have a walk around track nor a sauna I love my sauna maybe the should invest in one in the women bathroom. That would be great. Also I'm conern about all the break in with the vehicles in their parking alot. Yesterday I was leaving and I saw nothing but windows glass broken from people cars being broken into. They need to get a handle on that. Because that would make you want to switch to another gym

Oh Logan Square Planet Fitness, how I hate you!…read more This is by far the most densely populated gym I have ever had the displeasure of being a member of. There is an inadequate amount of free weights, and you can always count on someone doing something absolutely insane. My personal favorite thing used to happen here all the time, lying down a mat to stretch before or after a work out, and a man coming and doing body weight squats basically on your face when there is plenty of space elsewhere. If you love the idea of being t-bagged mid workout, this is definitely the gym for you. In addition, there are a lot of squatters here, and not the lifting kind, the kind that will take up 3-4 machines/weights/cables at a time and just rot in one place doing almost absolutely nothing for a full 2 hours. Do you like kids? Great! There's tons of them here, trying to impress their friends, hooting and hollering while displaying the most miserable form you have ever seen, so much so that you're glad they are young because at the ripe age of 30 it's just giving torn rotator cuffs and slipped discs. God speed getting a solid work out in here. If you manage to do it, I am both impressed and terrified of you!

No thanks. My friend and I tried this studio on a Saturday morning. We went up to the trainer to…read morecheck in and told her this was our first class and we were greeted with an unenthusiastic "oh no" with an underlying tone of dread and annoyance. Well if that doesn't make someone feel welcome I don't know what will. The rest of the class was equally as amazing. My friend and I took spots on two machines and the instructor then told us we needed to move inwards so we would be in the middle of the others who had been there before. Ok, fine. However I soon came to learn she had no intentions of actually instructing the class- and instead wanted to rely on the other students to show us what to do. Too bad they were all doing different things. After going through the 50 minutes of boring, monotone commands from said 'instructor' the class was finally over. Im not sure if she was hungover, just broke up with her boyfriend or had a migraine, but that was the least motivating class taught by someone who clearly didn't want to be there or instruct proper movement. In a city of a bazillion pilates studios, you'd have to pay me to go back.

I've been working out at TriFitness for two years - so you know I like it and it works. With two…read moretrainers switching the morning workouts you get plenty of variety. As other reviewers have stated, there are people at all levels of fitness - everyone is encouraged to tailor the workout to their level. They have a huge indoor area and all the equipment you expect. All in all a positive atmosphere and experience. By the way, TriFitness is great for kids. Not the morning workouts, but individual and group training. Lessons for my son is how I hooked up with TriFitness. I repeatedly get comments from his coaches that my son moves very well in his sports. That's due to his work with TriFitness.

But our wedding was now over a year ago, and I am still a fan and client of his. The workout sessions have always been varied, but I've never left feeling like I didn't get a good workout. Ron and Brian are both very good at providing real world motivations - no "get a six pack fast!" type miracle promises. You give them honest effort, you will get pleasing results. I've never gone more than once or twice a week this whole time, yet I've managed to lose, and keep off 20 lbs, getting stronger the whole time. I would recommend them to anyone serious about getting in better shape, becoming more knowledgeable about personal fitness and training, or just someone looking for new inspiration for their workout.

The gym had a 6 week trial on Groupon and so I took advantage of it. Because, why not? I'm starting week 6 and I have seen results. I feel better, I sleep better, I'm winded when walking and talking. I've dropped 8lbs and lost 5% body fat in this short amount of time and it's thanks to this team of athletes. I call them athletes because the workouts are hard but as you train, they become easier. I can with out a doubt say that you will sweat, you will be sore, you will feel like someone laid a ton of bricks on you, but you will be better and stronger at the end. The trainers that I've worked out with are all amazing and passionate about getting you where you want to be. Keep in mind that you don't have to nose dive right into crossfit. There are various classes to build you up to it. Just don't think that for a moment they'll be easy peasy. I learned the hard way how to respect the bands used for exercising. I always saw them as some half done weights. Nope, not anymore. The facility is very clean and parking isn't bad in the mornings. Check them out, even if it's just to look around. They welcome visitors and before I forget. Parents, they have classes for your little ones.

They…read moreopen at 6am and I was 10 min early and Steph was already there since they knew I was a newcomer and gave me the rundown of the class and facilities. Facilities were clean and bathroom was well-stocked with amenities for women. Steph was an amazing instructor, kept eye on my form and reminded me about what certain stations were since I forgot my contacts and couldn't see the big screen from the backmost station. She does a run through of all stations beforehand and you cycle 3 times through each section. There were 3 total sections with 4 exercises each. F45 can seem intimidating, but as a more yoga/pilates-inclined person who doesn't run or do weights often, this was very beginner-friendly and doable since they have weights/equipment befitting all levels. And you definitely get a good workout. Also, Steph has a great playlist and was super nice to have the class congratulate me for my first F45 class. Very welcoming, non-judgmental environment for people at all stages in their fitness journey. Like previous yelp reviews have said - the MWF are resistance/strength workouts, TTh are cardio, Sat/Sun are a pretty even mix. They also have Hyrox specific classes on certain days for those training. Parking lot available.

Staff is amazing if you are training for Hyrox and wanting to go an F45 that helps with Hyrox definitely this is the spot! One major thing I wish the instructors can do is they can perform the demo instead of making us look at the screen and give us alternate workout or give us some hard one if we can ace through it. Also they have Racks!!!
