There has been no need for rework or problems afterwards. I appreciate the SPF protection provided by the quality XPEL tint. While there I asked about tinting a panoramic all glass roof for a different vehicle. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and explained why it should not be done, while other tint shops at that time were willing to do it. Also, please note that window tint laws are not direct. What the states publish are guidelines, since there is also the laws intent to work off of. This means that if it says you can't tint front windows, courts in certain states will allow it if it's a light tint, that one can see through.

Mike(owner) and Jimmy(GM) both explained to me the detail differences between type of tints and also took the time to compare each tint % on my Mini until I was completely satisfied with how would look before final installation. I walked in when first opened to ask about their tint summer special and they were able to get me in right away since I'm not local and they both understood the hassle for me back and forth. 1.5hrs later, my car is complete night and day with 35% driver and passenger while the remaining rear received 20%. THE JOB WAS PERFORMED TO PERFECTION. This is a pro shop that has been established in New Hyde Park for 15 years and I can wholeheartedly recommend this to all. The work was sloppy. Areas like the rear diffuser and behind the license plate weren't even properly washed, which is unacceptable for a service that's supposed to include clay bar and paint correction. Corners were obviously cut. Basic detailing was ignored--the trunk wasn't opened or cleaned, and the inside of the rear window was left dirty. This is detailing 101. The workmanship feels careless and lacks pride. As someone who knows cars, I can confidently say this was a poor job. If you work hard for your money, don't spend it here.

We chose NEW YORK CITY WINDOW TINTING, which we found on Yelp, where they've earned many excellent reviews. (I'm finally adding mine!) Jerry Ciccio is the principle. He did an excellent job on all my windows. The cost was reasonable, he and his helper arrived as planned, and finished and cleaned up very well. "I had a cracked windshield replaced here after a failed DMV inspection…read more After a while, I noticed water on the floor and shortly thereafter I started having problems with the battery, which mysteriously started going dead. After getting stranded a few times, I had the battery replaced. But the new battery gave me the same problems as the first battery, so I took the car to a mechanic, who told me that the windshield was leaking into the dashboard, which damaged the electrical system. The mechanic said that whoever installed the windshield did not install the external gasket correctly, which allowed water in, which after it froze, cracked the edge. This was the place that installed my windshield. I spent a bunch of money attempting to have the electrical problem fixed, but only to get stranded again and again. The car became unreliable so I got rid of it and am currently without a car (just in time for winter). The car ran perfectly fine before having the leaky windshield which was installed here. I suggest you go somewhere that guarantees their work and does not PRESSURE you to pay cash (so there is a record of the work performed). It took over a year for this problem to surface and the small amount of money that ""I thought"" l saved does not equal the large amount of money I spent trying to correct the damaged electrical system. Avoid this place. They do shotty work...the ""perceived savings"" is not worth the risk."
