PhotoWorks provided the photo booth at our October wedding in San Jose. We chose them over others based on stellar reviews and recommendations. They lived up to our expectations and provided a wonderful experience for our guests and a great keepsake photo album/scrapbook for us. There were two attendants helping guests and both were very helpful and did an excellent job. The only negative of working with PhotoWorks happened at the end of the night when the take-down crew came to take the booth away - They refused to wait a minute when asked and exited directly behind us in the middle of the lined up guests waving sparklers. However, despite the minor snafu at the end of the night, all of the guests loved the booth and the two attendants that were there that night were incredibly helpful. I'm so glad we chose Photoworks for our wedding reception in October. Who doesn't love a photobooth?! Our guests loved it, of course! The scrapbook turned our GORGEOUS! and hilarious. I highly recommend it if you can spend the extra cash. Everyone at Photoworks is easy to work with, friendly, helpful, and very professional. I took off a star because we did not get double prints as mentioned in some previous comments and I was sort of expecting that, as were my guests. As a result, many of our guests didn't want to provide their pictures in the scrapbook because they wanted a keepsake and the techs did not inform everyone that we would get a digital copy to share with them. I understand they may not want to say this in case the bride and groom get bombarded with people asking for their photos, but that's why we thought there would be 2 copies, and we don't mind e-mailing them out at all...whatever makes for a more complete scrapbook. They do not offer an idle time FYI. Not taking off a point for that, just info if you are trying to plan what time to have your booth available. Make sure you get yourself in there! My husband and I got in early on, thank goodness, but the lines get crazy because it's so fun :) You could go with someone cheaper, but I promise you you get what you pay for!! read more

We rented a photobooth from Photoworks for our June 2008 wedding. I really liked their stylish, classy, fun photobooth! We also liked the attendants who worked with us on the day of - they were friendly and tried to make sure all guests made it into the photobooth at least once! I am taking 1 star off because there was poor communication in regards to our "custom logo." I sent along an example I had found online to demonstrate placement that what we wanted, but instead they used the online example for the logo (it was clear in my email that the attachment was an EXAMPLE too). However, when I called Photoworks afterwards to explain the problem, Paul, the President, explained that there should have been follow-up and confirmation about the custom logo, which didn't happen. They refunded part of the fee for the custom logo. I found Paul and Lisa from Photoworks friendly as well, though sometimes the heavy sales talk from Paul was a turn-off. Lisa was helpful in working with my budget. I recommend this company and their product, but just be proactive about your communication (esp. during peak wedding season) and be prepared for lots of sales talk :) read more

I can't say enough good things about these people. There I was planning a high school reunion and in the days before my photographer falls through so I get this idea - what about those vintage photobooths? I go from "quote please" to - "hmmmmm sounds expensive but WHAT a value" to "WHAT A TOTALLY COOL ADDITION"! It totally stole the show. It became a centerpiece to our event! People are STILL talking about it! I still hired a shooter for some candids pics dancing and dining, but the Booth!!! WOWOWOW! And the "Booth Attendant" was a hottie and WOOT was HE in Cougar Country with us and very nice about things when Barb and I grabbed him and pulled him in to "accompany" us. The owner was there at delivery and at the wrap and helped up set up and even relocated the booth once it was apparent I'd decided on the wrong spot. I had to rally folks a few times from the dance floor to get them IN the booth and at "last cal" Booth Boy was fair and accommodating to the laggards. Wonderful payment process that did not hang me up in downloads and file conversions and did not rip me off either or make me stare at my receipt. It was top notch quality of product, service and performance. My only regret was NOT to get the props as I was afeared my classmates might destroy them with 2 open bars that night, but all was well and we STILL had fun and its been a blast on FaceBook ever since to post and re-post these nutty pics and make a "Black Tie Optional" event a total crack-up. People are using them for their profile pics! Crazy! And that I had the hard drive copy at the end of the night...whooohoooo!!!! We had FUN! Thank you!!!! read more

We are so happy we used Photoworks Interactive for our wedding Photo Booth! Everyone had such an amazing time using the booth at our wedding. Our technician, Scott, was so nice and helpful and really made the Photo Booth a fun experience for our guests. He was so friendly and professional to everyone! My two young cousins (10 years old) who were our Junior Bridesmaids must have gone in the Photo Booth at least 10 times and it really was the highlight of their night. Scott was so sweet and patient with them which was really appreciated! PWI let us customize our own graphics so that the printed photo strip matched our wedding invites which was a really cute detail. After the wedding, PWI gave us a scrapbook where guests had created their own customized page for us, kinda like a guestbook. This is such a special thing to have and we will cherish it forever. Everything went so well! We got a little concerned since our wedding was outside and weren't too sure how everything was going to work out but then I found out that the owner actually personally came to deliver the photo booth and make sure it got set up properly for our special day. I was so impressed! The attendants were also very helpful. I had my nephew and we couldn't reach the hats at the top of the photo booth and he came and lifted up my nephew for him to pick a hat, lol, then (my nephew is only 3) my nephew accidentally "let one loose" right in front of his face and the attendant was still really nice and we had a good laugh! Photoworks Interactive was just amazing for my daughter's wedding reception at Los Gatos Opera House in July. When we hired them, we thought it would be a fun added extra. It ended up being almost as popular as the open bar! We thought the props idea was a little corny and "carnivalish" for an elegant wedding reception, but it turned out the pictures taken without the props were hohum boring, and the pictures with the props were the best. Our senior, 80 year old plus guests even had a blast using those props! I heard so many unmarried adults say that they would "for sure" want to use Photoworks Interactive at their wedding. Be careful with Paul. He was very attentive when he wanted my business but after the wedding I couldn't get a phone call back from him. If you're scheduling a booth for pure intertainment for your event - it's great. If you're doing a wedding and want the photo book they promise you - forget it!! My book had FOUR pages. The girl they sent moved our table to a corner because she said she was cold. The guests had no idea that part of their photo went into the book for the bride and groom. It's been a year and a half and i've sent several emails and left voice messages. Paul emails me back saying he'll "get back to me" and he never does. read more

I was so thrilled with Photoworks at our wedding! I had to beg my husband to let us "splurge" on this and afterwards, he was SO grateful that I twisted his arm - it was SUCH a hit! We had over 300 guests and we were so wonderfully surprised with how many of them took pictures - even 70 year olds plus! The attendants were just fabulous, even tracking me down three times until my husband and I got our own pictures done - we would have been heartbroken if we had missed the opportunity in all of the reception craziness - and I'm sure we would have if the attendants didn't make it happen! Of all the photo booth companies I looked at, Photoworks was my favorite because the booths themselves were really cute and almost retro-looking - loved that you could do color OR black and white...and, I liked their format best - 4 poses/3 copies - that way, one stays in our book and the guests get two copies (plus, you get copies of ALL the pics later on a disc, so you'll be sure to see every pic that was taken, not just the ones tha ended up in the book!). Also, the custom graphics are really cute - and I loved that they used a blue curtain to go with our colors, rather than the standard red. The best part was that we got to take the finished photo book home with us that very night - we had so much fun looking at everyone's pictures/pages the next morning at breakfast! In fall 2012 I attended a wedding with a photo booth from Photoworks. This was a new idea to me but what I really fell in love with was the scrapbooking aspect. Once I got the contact information I created an event in order to experience the fun for myself!! After more than a year in planning, my partner and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with a party complete with photo booth. The staff member, Scott, was incredibly efficient in setting up the booth and we were able to add our own photo-worthy accents for people to try on along with the ones brought by the company. He was also very helpful to the guests who wanted to scrapbook but were creatively intimidated. Much to my surprise, when he presented the book at the end of the event he had used the photos my partner and I took at the start to create an opening page. It was fabulous!! We also paid the $75 additional cost (totally worth it) so 2 copies of each session were printed. This way guests could have one to take home and one to scrap. And of course there are many that didn't get scrapped but not to worry, also that night we received a thumb drive with all the photos. You definitely get what you pay for... They offered me a discount bases upon their relationship with the venue where my event was held and I really appreciated it!
