    Oxtail Pho
    Shaelyn H.

I got the oxtail pho and it did not disappoint! The flavor was really good and they give you a good amount of oxtail worth your money! Sometimes pho can be pretty bland but the flavor of the broth was well seasoned. The service was pretty quick and the ambiance was busy as always in Union Market.

My nine-year-old daughter often craves pho from this stand inside Union Market. Compared to other stands inside, this one sometimes has a wait due to the one self-service iPad to order, but it's worth the wait. The steak pho is delicious. The noodles are perfect, the broth flavorful, and the meat cooked perfectly. It comes with a few sauces and a lime wedge on the side.

Came to try the ox-tail cheesesteak bahn mi. It comes with a little consomé cup. This is a filling sandwich. It is a splurge , but we wanted to see if it lived up to its social media hype and it does. You could share the sandwich with the bestie and leave room for other foodie samplings. It has an order kiosk and I'd use that instead of waiting for the person behind the counter. The more they tend to cashiering , the longer it'll take to get your meal.

Even though it was pretty warm and humid today, I was still craving something warm and soupy, and pho was the perfect option. We ordered at the kiosk and got our pho within 5-10 minutes. PHO DAC BIET - 17.98 The bowl was pretty small for the price, but it came with a good amount of meat, which was pretty tender. Noodles were initially too hard, but softened over time swimming in the broth. The broth was kind of a hit or miss. I enjoyed how strong and rich it was, with lots of meaty flavor, but my mom didn't like the slight acidic after taste. Overall, still one of the better broths I've had in the area. It was pricy, not the most filling, but pretty tasty. That's actually above average for a Union Market food stall.

Had the luxury of trying pho wheels for the first after it was highly recommended by multiple people. I will definitely be coming back, food was amazing.

    Worst vietnamese coffee ever!
    Jennie V.

Worst vietnamese coffee ever! It's pre made but I've had good pre made coffee before. I don't think they use condensed milk and it has a weird flavor. Also saw the guy put in milk?! Fake authentic spot. Wouldn't recommend unless you are into that kind of thing.

Ordered on a busy but cold Sunday afternoon, as a warm bowl of pho sounded good. Regarding the photo itself, I liked the taste and size of the meatballs as well as the $3 add-on I purchased for soft tendon. One thing I wasn't a fan of was regarding the service. Union market was really busy given that it was a weekend, and when I had ordered my pho, the lady helping me had said my order will be ready in five minutes. I completely understand that that's just a rough guess but when I saw the workers chit chatting with one another rather than fulfilling orders, it wasn't the greatest feeling from a customer standpoint. Once my order was fulfilled, I saw my name on my order and had tried to flag down one of the workers. Instead of handing it to me, they said something along the lines of "Oh we will call your order when it's ready," despite it being packaged up. All in all, hope the service improves in the future but the pho itself was good, which leads me to rate it more middle of the road.

    Chicken Pho

Y'all I forgot how good the food is here. I got the chicken pho and even when it was steaming hot I finished the whole thing in record time. Lol I used to enjoy their food truck at festivals but when I came to Union market for a lunch meeting I wanted to try them again. I have been crazing it ever since so I will be back there this week. The broth, chicken pieces, the sprouts all were very fresh and flavorful even without the hoisin and hot sauce.

    NEW Oxtail cheesesteak eggrolls (x4)
    Linda V.

Been here before and had an ok experience with the food. Saw they had oxtail eggrolls and just had to try it. Four decent size eggrolls for a good price and 3 sauces to choose from. Eggrolls were crunchy, flaky on the outside and filled with tender melt in your mouth oxtail and herbaceous veggies on the inside. Definitely redeemed themselves from last visit. Glad I gave it another go

Vibe: N/A - within Union Market Service: 6/10 Value: 4/10 - very overpriced - there's much cheaper pho available that's on par or better than this! Oxtail cheesesteak banh mi: 8/10 - really enjoyed this! The bread could use some improvement - banh mi bread is typically more firm. Eye of round pho: 8/10 - delicious, but nothing mind blowing Overall: 6.5/10 (3.25/5) [To clarify our review system: 10 = we'll never have anything else as good as this in our lives (we use 10 very sparingly!) 9 = extraordinary 8 = great 7 = above average 6 = average Anything below 6 is being critical]

    Eye Round Pho... SO good!

This is one of my favorite go to Pho spots. They ALWAYS hit! The flavor in the broth is so amazingly rich but light at the same time. The staff is usually super nice and informative if you have any questions or concerns about ingredients or allergies regarding the menu! They always have an abundance of utensils and condiments easily available and accessible. It's located in the middle of the market across from Lucky Buns so it's no seating for them specifically like some of the other spaces but there is extra seating in the market for everyone, no matter where you've gotten food from. Definitely going back and kind of becoming a regular! 10/10 already recommended to everyone I know!

    Bo-khirria roti tacos w/ broth
    Michaela N.

They have a new larger location inside the food hall! This must mean they're doing well and will stay a while which I'm happy about because they have now been offering one of my favorite dishes that I crave. The Bo-khirria roti tacos w/ broth are unlike anything I've had! The flaky raised crust they use to make the taco shell is the palette grabber, perfectly complemented by the beef and the broth. I only recently became the fan of Birria tacos and love them at a little place on U st. This is a fun elevation although I could eat them back to back! Ordering is smooth, about a 15 minute wait. I do recommend a different carrying container for the broth for carryout. If it tips over in the car you're done for, it's not completely sealed. So I would be afraid to order it from DoorDash or anything.

Bartaco offers items with mushrooms, falafel, and cauliflower. However I think it would be great if they could offer something with tofu as there is not a protein option for vegans. The chips and guacamole were decent but nothing special. Interesting that the chips come as large pieces instead of as individual chips. I'd maybe stop in again if I was nearby but I'm not sure I'm eager to return.

Instead of ordering off a menu, your server just starts cycling through the entire menu in tapas-sized portions, one after another. It sounds a little chaotic on paper but it flows well in practice, and it means you end up trying things you wouldn't have pointed at yourself. The flavors throughout were genuinely good, a cut above your standard Mexican restaurant. The mole in particular was excellent, the kind that actually tastes like it took some effort to make. Two misses: the chicken on the chicken and waffles was overcooked, and the salmon was too. Both proteins had the same problem, which makes me think there's something off in the kitchen's timing rather than just bad luck. When you're running an AYCE service where volume is the whole model, consistency on execution matters more, not less. Still, those were isolated stumbles in an otherwise solid parade of food.
