However, upon calling to schedule my appointment I was informed politely by Kelly that the groupon is only for upper or lower legs (despite groupon listing it as a medium area) and that should I want my full legs done I would need to pay a $100 upgrade fee. She stated that it was a mistake on groupons part. I have gone back onto groupon and THE SAME EXACT GROUPON is still being listed showing "full legs" as a large area. Therefore, I highly doubt that it is a mistake on groupons part. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment and it was canceled several times. Very displeased. Tried to get a refund through Groupon but she had redeemed it despite me NEVER HAVING BEEN THERE! That is unacceptable and wrong. ADDENDUM: Kelly, this was a review I had created waaay back when I lived in Michigan but I never posted. Today I went through all my unposted reviews and posted them. THIS IS NOT FALSE WHATSOEVER. I very specifically recall all the details and everything I have written is 100% accurate and true. Unfortunately. And as you can see you did redeem my Groupon though I never saw you for treatment.

I reached out to the clinic to ask about options for unused services, but was informed that refunds are not provided. I was told they would follow up, but I did not receive further communication. This experience was disappointing, as I was hoping for more flexibility given the circumstances. I recommend clarifying policies in advance before purchasing treatment packages.

The lights were never dimmed. I was directed to lay down on the table. No gown, no remove your shoes, just lay on the table. The "ethician" then cleansed my skin, there was no steam, no extractions, no machines, no eye makeup removal, nothing. Then layers of products. This all took approximately 20 minutes. Shortest facial ever. I found out that the person doing this was not a licensed esthetician, and that she was being trained by the owner. Then the owner does not know what a facial amounts to. This place may be good for other services, but not facials. Very disappointed. Awful.

When I scheduled the appt, I was informed they had the specific laser I was looking to be treated with. Drove an hour to the appt for the consult, was told the laser was sent for maintenance without an estimated repair time. Told it could be months. Said they could book me in their Dearborn location. Receptionist was the same person that was doing my consultation. He seemed pushy, was told that they are the cheapest than anyone else. People always come back because they are so cheap. Cheaper than Ann Arbor, and any city. I'm not worried about the cost, I barely was able to talk about what I was looking for. He seemed to talk down to me. Never sat in the dirty client chair, instead there was a chair inches by the sink that I sat in. The man used the sink to wash his hands after he attempted to clean up, and stood inches away from me and I was splashed with water. After the disappointing unprofessional consult, left for the hour drive back to my area. Wish they had provided a courtesy phone call about not having the laser. Won't get this time back in my life. Will not be scheduling any procedure with this business.

Despite the fact that all of these things involve some degree of discomfort (as the quote goes, "beauty is pain"), Maria and her staff really make the experience as pleasant as possible. They are so friendly, and make the whole visit as comfortable as they can. I always know exactly what she is doing in the procedure, and throughout she keeps frequent tabs on how I am feeling and making sure the pain level is not too much. She is sensitive to not only how it feels at the time, but to how my skin reacts in the days after. After my first electolysis session, my skin was red and bumpy for a few days afterwards. When I told her this, she easily adjusted some settings for my second session, and my skin was back to normal much quicker that time. It's very clear she knows what she's doing. I love that I always feel like their attention is 100% on me - before, during, and after my visit. The treatments really are customized to each client's individual hair color and skin type. You'll feel like you are getting worked on by a friend - only a friend who is super knowledgable and highly trained in her field.
