Good Vietnamese place, you get a decent meal for under $10. Fills up quickly at lunch time. Take out is ready within 10 minutes.

Just alright. Not special. If having food delivered be prepared to wait about an hour and a half. Not recommended.

Mid week, lunchtime, first time. Had always been curious to eat here. Grabbed a neighbour to come…read morewith, also her first time and we had a nice meal. The place was very steady but we got one of the few remaining tables. The menu has a lot on it and there is another, separate menu for specials. The complimentary herbal tea was nice and hot for a very cold day. Ordered was a pho for me, extra spicy and my friend got a beef and veg dish and they subbed her noodles for rice upon her request and accommodated her peanut allergy. The food was good, also. I ordered us shrimp spring rolls to start, 2 to an order. Very good. $6. The entrees... My broth was nice, albeit mild. Not that clovey taste I've experienced at other places. My pho had shrimp, beef and chicken. It was a house specialty so it only came in a medium size. This was fine as I ordered extra noodles for $2.50 to go and had some at home for dinner tonight. And, it will feed me for lunch one more time tomorrow. The containers were leak proof and the liquid survived the drive home. The staff were unobtrusive yet attentive and kind. Said to be family owned and that everything is homemade. I'll return! I love Vietnamese food and love supporting these places. I will avoid weekends though as I was told people are lined up at the door for seating. Was it the best I have ever had? No but it fit the bill and I'm glad I live close by as there are 100 other dishes I'd like to try.

Chez Lam is serving up great flavor…read more When you enter, you'll notice the restaurant is somewhat fancy and nicely clean. We really liked the decor. The service is very friendly and efficient from the moment you enter. On to the food. What I don't like is when the fresh spring rolls are made in advance and are left out until someone orders. The rice paper becomes dry and chewy and that ruins it. Sadly, Chez Lam served them like that, so they can be better. The pho soup was great. There is good flavor and ingredients are fresh. They have all the condiments on the table. I like my soup with more onion shavings and shallots but it was still tasty. I found the service to be extra good and attentive. That was much appreciated. Prices are similar to other Vietnamese restaurants. They accept cash, debit, credit. Location wise: Chez Lam is in a strip mall with a gas station, dollar store, massage therapy clinic, and a few more shops.

I had dinner here recently with my husband and father-in-law and we all really enjoyed the food…read more We started off with the #9 deep fried shrimp $9.95 and #13 chicken with peanut sauce $7.95. Then we had #607 crispy fried noodles with seafood $14.95 and #612 stir fried rice noodles with chicken in peanut sauce $15.95. The chicken appetizer was delicious. It was tender pieces of chicken breast covered in a slightly spicy peanut sauce atop a bed of shredded lettuce and pickled carrots. The portion size was small, but it was fantastic. They call it mildly spicy, but the heat really builds up as you eat it. The shrimp appetizer was ok. It was deep fried battered shrimp. Lots of batter. I wouldn't order this again. The chicken stir fry with peanut sauce was so rich and peanuty! I actually loved it. It had mushrooms, egg, broccoli, onions, carrots, bean sprouts and bell peppers in it too. It was like Pad Thai but with a peanut sauce instead of the tangy Pad Thai sauce. I would order this again. The crispy noodles with seafood was good too. It had shrimp, cuttlefish and fish balls in it, as well as bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, onions, carrots, and bell peppers. The sauce was a little runny, but it was flavourful. I liked that nothing was too salty, which is my usual complaint at most restaurants. Service was not polished, but very friendly and nice. They give you a piece of paper to write your order on and they mistook 607 for 609 and brought us the wrong dish. They gladly replaced the dish when we informed them of the error. There was some poor penmanship on our part, so my husband left them a big tip for the misunderstanding. In the future, I think it's best to write out the number and also the name of the dish (although the names are all so long) to avoid any misunderstanding. We will be doing this from now on. You get a pot of complimentary tea as soon as you sit down. The place settings have spoons and chopsticks. My father-in-law required a fork and it took them a while to get him one. We also asked for serving utensils since we were sharing all the dishes and that also took a while, but when they came they brought us a lot of forks and spoons and also a laddle(!) They were very nice though. The decor is similar to other Pho places, pretty casual. It's in a strip mall (same mall as Grace in the Kitchen). There is lots of free parking. I would return.

1 stars out of 5 stars! standard and average food…read more As there are many places where your teenager can get a job after school my daughter for some reason found this place? I hated her choice cause of her hourly pay which was 17 dollar an hour? Minimum wage would've been $16.55 per hours but for that reason they kept the tips very greedy of them to take what's not theirs. Be aware..
