They don't care about your journey and only see you as a path to cashing in. Poor communication across the board-- no one answers the phone, there's always a ghetto voicemail box & no return call. Do your research before proceeding. There's a reason this agency is trashed on surrogacy forums & facebook groups. Don't let the high comp & ability to match before you sign lure you in. I am currently a surrogate with this agency. This is the 3rd and last surrogacy I have been through with them. My case manager is great and available when I call, I really like the front line workers. The previous 2 surrogacies were great and I knew I would go with this agency again for my 3rd. I used to recommend them to anyone that asked about surrogacy. BUT with this surrogacy the experience is 100% different. I live in Northern California and I have always had my OB and delivering hospital close to me (within a 20 minute drive) BUT this time that is NOT the case. It takes me routinely 1-2 hours to get to the OB and hospotal I am allowed to go to one way. Today was the second time it took me 1 hour 45 min+ to get to the OB and I missed my appointment and although I called the OB office they still weren't able to see me. On my nav it always says it will take me 45 minutes to get to the OB but I have never been able to get here in under an hour and that is extremely hard for a working professional. Can you imagine taking 4 hours off work for the OB appointment because driving time can be 2-3 hours round trip only to be turned away because it actually took almost 2 hours to get here, so you have to take a half day off only to do it again the day they reschedule you. I have stressed and cried more times over these OB appointments and the stress the drive time creates then all other pregnancies combined. I live in Elk Grove and they send me past Sacramento to far Carmichael. I literally pass by 5 hospitals and a TON of OBs on the way to the OB they assigned me too. I have pleaded and begged to be switched to an OB / hospital closer to me but everyone says it is what it is and there is nothing they can do. If I would have known the OB and delivering hospital would be 1-2 hours away from me I would never have returned to this agency. I live in an extremely large city next to the State Capital and they "can't" find an OB or hospital they are willing to work with in a close proximity I can't imagine what it would be like for someone living in a more rural location, a 3 hour drive to your OB? I called my previous OB I used with this agency that is 15 minutes away from my house and they ARE accepting new patients that are self pay (the agency goes through self pay not insurance) but the agency for whatever reason does not want to go through them. It absolutely kills me to say this but I would never recommend this agency to anyone after this experience, there are ton and tons of agencies out there, best to save yourself all the grief and stress and pick a different agency, this one is stepping over a dollar to save a nickel. It's a shame this agency isn't what it used to be. read more

Came across this facility in search for a good company that can help give the gift of life to families, individuals wanting to have a family of their own and what I received from this company was beyond my expectations! From the very beginning process of being interviewed, Ellen was beyond helpful and very professional, would respond to any questions regarding medication administration to checking up on me to see how I was doing throughout the process. Once pregnant my case manager, America, was beyond exceptional! She truly made my surrogacy journey stress-free! America would literally go above and beyond her job! If any issues that were out of her reach, she would assure me she would figure it out! Never had any issues for any doctor appointments/billing. When I say she went above and beyond, I truly mean that! Especially during my labor, she was frequently checking up on us ( after office hours) until the baby was born in the early hours!!! The experience was definitely different and I really enjoyed it. I loved seeing the face of the father when he first saw his baby girl ! He was definitely stunned! I am so happy that I could be apart and help out a family. Everyone was really helpful in the beginning and everything was smooth. When I got pregnant it was still okay but when It started to get closer to me delivering things slowly changed. I would definitely recommend for them to be a little more organized and caring towards the end. I didn't feel like much care was given to where I didn't even have the energy to want to contact them. Yes, Sharon was a support person, but was not related to the care I was given by your ivf coordinator. I have been on birth control many times for the two prior surrogacies and other times in my life and never had a negative reaction. Yes, I do believe you owe me compensation. You do have an employee named Christina Bonas and also have emails and texts that can be easily screenshotted. I feel sorry for the people that read this review and still work with you because they will find out the hard way that you guys do not return communication. read more

Surrogacy should be an amazing and beautiful journey. Unfortunately Physician's Surrogacy falls short in helping to provide that. I was lucky in that I've had many children myself so I was comfortable being on my own for the most part, but the organization is anything but organized. My IVF med calendar was always a mess. There were several changes or things that were not completely clear. The case managers and other office staff changed postions or left the program so often that I had 4 CMs in the almost 2 years that I was with them. The latest staff seemed OK but by then I was 8 months pregnant and not really caring whether I spoke with anyone or not. The medical director/owner of Physicians Surrogacy referred me to a OB in Hillcrest who was great but it also seemed like the ladies in that office disliked working with physician's surrogacy because they did things a bit backwards. Also I delivered in August 2017, it's December 2017 and my hospital bills still have not Ben taken care of. I still get called by the hospital and I get called for the baby bills too. It's ridiculous and unacceptable. The only thing that was wonderful is precious little girl I got to give to a couple of amazing parents. The IVF doctor is pretty funny, too and seems to enjoy his job and cares for his patients. read more

I can only speak for the front office and egg donor coordinators. Personally, I haven't had a major issue or complete lack of care. I have called regarding the status of my egg donor profile last week and had left a voicemail for one of the coordinators but haven't heard back. Thats the only issue I've had. I recently finished my first surrogacy journey with Physicians Surrogacy and I have to say it was such an amazing experience. From day one, things seemed to go pretty fast. It seemed to me that as long as I was on top of all the paperwork process and provided them with what they needed, they gave that in return. The process went very smooth, which made everything better. I loved working with my case manager Yoko Wakamatsu. She was so kind and checked up on me weekly basis. Any assistance I needed, she was there to answer or find the answer to my questions. She made me feel like there was an open door policy for anything I may have needed, even if she was busy she would let me know. I never expected to be responded to quickly because I understood that I was not the only surrogate she dealt with and that's what some surrogates fail to understand. I would think twice before signing with Physician's Surrogacy. During the contract stage and even during your entire pregnancy they are very attentive, check in every week and even give you gifts but as soon as you deliver they do a complete 360. I delivered in August 2017 and two months later I have yet to receive final payment and my hospital bills have not been paid. I have emailed weekly since week of delivery to see when these bills are going to be paid and I see no action or promptness on their end, not to mention they are now in breech of contract. My contract clearly states hospital bills would be paid within 30 days after delivery and final payment would be made 14 days after delivery, both have not been done. If I could go back I would have not picked this agency. I have tried numerous times contacting the agency as well as the owner herself about these matters and I keep getting excuses and the run around! It has been a very frustrating process. I now have the hospital calling stating my bills are going to be sent to collections next month if they are not paid by the end of the month. Please do your research before picking this agency! read more

I signed up with Physicians Surrogacy in August 2016 and was matched within 2 weeks with an amazing couple who were the perfect match (we still talk often and have become close friends). Contracts were signed in January, transferred February 2017 and delivered November 2017. Dr. Wood was my doctor and is amazing with a great personality and also funny. His staff was very professional, great communicators, and personable. Dr. Wood did my transfer and it was successful the first time with his detailed instructions for medication and bed rest after transfer, etc.. Everything with my pregnancy went great with no issues. As far as the agency review, in the beginning it was ok with communication, my case manager was ok at getting back to me, etc. In the middle of my journey, I was unfortunately caught in the time when some (now) former employees disrupted the business and the company made some decisions that needed to be made in light of that mishap. During that time, communication was very bad, case managers were coming and going (without notifying me), for a couple months. Due to the events, I understand the lack of communications was due to legal reasons of the company. However, some communication should have been made to surrogates that were in a journey to give us some peace of mind as I had no idea what was going on and why I couldn't get a hold of anyone. Since then, the company has made great progress recovering from that unfortunate situation. My last case manager I had is Lydia and she is so amazing, I message her anytime and she is very prompt, always follows up with me and just a great communicator. I don't trust a lot of people but I do trust her because I truly feel she is looking out for me and making sure everything is smooth and taken care of the whole time she has been my case manager. Sharon is my support person and she is very personable. She handled all the bills I sent her, and they were always promptly paid. Why I gave Physician's Surrogacy a 5 star rating: -Physician's Surrogacy has taken great strides in improving the company as a whole with new operations, policy's, communication and standards since when I first signed up with them in 2016. They have the right people now and a great foundation to build on. They have come a long way in such a little amount of time and while there are still some kinks to work out I'm sure, they are coming out on top as I would consider them one of the leading surrogate agencies in the country. -Compensation as always been made on time (the whole journey) with very few discrepancies. If there were any discrepancies, it was fixed immediately and they were very apologetic. If I chose to do another journey, I would do it with Physician's Surrogacy with Lydia as my case manager and Sharon as my support contact again. Where to start....If I could rate this place a -10 I would. I was a recent surroagte and what is supposed to be a beautiful journey turned in to my wort nightmare. This company is not operating for the gift of life . They treat you very nice in the begining then the minute you get pregnant with someone elses(surrrogate) child they completely leave your side for you to fend for yourself. This company is very unorganized and does not help or guide you thru your journey . They have breeched contract in many different ways. If I could prevent another woman from making the same mistake I did, research and review agency and be very cautious when dealing with overseas intended parents. I was left up in the air on how to get thru my journey , being asked to deliver breast milk a day after giving birth and not one person from the agency advised or helped me. Medical bills are paid late too as stated in contract that they are to be paid within 30 days, over 90 days and some still are not paid. Every time I call its someone new Im talking to which leads me to think there is lots of turn over.Ohh, and get this I called to speak to president of company about my concerns with my journey and he never apologized for my experience but I had mentioned that I had delivered a month early being told that its quite normal to deliver early and stated " we would never accept you back to be a surrogate, we have zero tolerance for someone who gives birth a month early!" Didnt know I was being punished for my body giving life early and mind you baby was born 100% healthy with zero health isssues related to being born early. These are just a few issues , I could go on on ..I just hope no woman experiences what I had to. Look for other agencies and really know what you are getting in to. This agency was the best for being my first time being a surrogate. I was matched within 2 weeks of passing my medical & background. After signing the contract I was ready to get pregnet in 2 months. Dr. Wood was my doctor for the transfer & he got it on the first try. Dr. Wood very professional & very positive on getting you pregnet on the first try, he is the best. Shannon helped me on my medication & was on top of it to make sure I had all my medicine which made it easy to take. Sharon Canlas was my supporter/case manager. This girl is the best I would call her after hours late & she would answer me. I would call her early morning she would answer me. All texts messages as well she would answer me. She is very helpful on anything I needed & she listens & understands your concerns. Molly Shen was my translater since my I.P.'s were chinese & mother spoke very little english. Molly was helpful on my big questions I had for the I.P.'s. I delivered on Feb. 23 2018 a healthy baby boy. I was very blessed on my I.P.'s they spolied me very much. Mother bought my daughter gifts & me as well. At the hospital she brought me chocolates & fruit. I stayed 24 hours & my I.P. was bringing me outside food to eat since the hospital food was disgusting. I was allowed to take pictures with the baby & I got to hold the baby as well. Even after I left I went to say my good byes to the I.P.'s & see the baby for the last time. I got 2 visits from my friends & my children & they all got to go see the baby. These I.P.'s were the best & I will miss them. I will defently become a surrogate again with this agency. The process is fast & its successful. Great good keep it up girls. read more

I would definitely recommend this agency for the surrogacy journey. I really liked that they were across the hall from the medical center, and have a strong connection with the medical staff. The coordinators are very friendly and helpful most of the time. The process was pretty quick once everything got started. The only downside is that there is a lot of shifting clients around and surrogates complain of having a new coordinator every few months. I wish they would have been more hands on during the medicine process because it was very challenging. The other issue is once I delivered it really was out of sight out of mind. They did not pay my medical bills and I received many notices that they were going into collections. The good news is that they set you up with a lawyer ahead of time so I had someone to turn to for legal advice. It seems like they let go of my case manager who failed to take care of the payments. They gave me a new case manager Sharon who swooped in like superman to save the day. She took care of everything professionally and efficiently so that none of my medical bills went into collections. I think the business is growing so they are going through growing pains. The parents I was matched up with were very sweet & caring. They still keep in touch and send me pictures of the baby. They want me to travel to their home country to spend time with them and the baby, and I am really looking forward to that. I am complete in my own family so I am just happy to have been able to help another family complete theirs. It is a great feeling to know the joy and happiness I brought to another family. It also helped me as a single mom financially - I was able to pay off my car, pay down student loan debt, and even save money to purchase a home one day in the near future. Overall my experience with this agency was very positive, once the "kinks" were worked out. They need to improve upon their consistency and then they would get 5 stars. read more
