They have…read morenot only added the new McGrath Outpatient Pavillion to the Hillcrest Medical Center campus, but they have also taken up plans to remodel the main hospital Tower and several of the specialty practices that live on this medical campus. It's great that the Hillcrest location is being updated because traffic seems to flow a lot easier here now. Also, there is more ample parking for customers and patients. I do love the original façade of the Hillcrest Medical Center, as it is being reinforced and updated to maintain the classic look and appeal of the iconic hospital. People seem to like to work in this location and they have a good attitude towards patients who come here. I recommend this location, and especially looking forward to when they remodel or refurbish the main hospital Tower. More great updates and improvements are coming for this location.

The service and assistance I received was great, informative and they really tried to help me. They ensure I was treated properly and did everything necessary to figure out my symptoms. Even before him, we were misdirected by EVERYONE from our pediatrician to the 6 different people on the phone. First we were sent from Scripps Mission Valley to 501 Washington. The flyer they gave me said Ste but no suite number. GPS led me to the garage for Village Hillcrest. The flyer from the pediatrician did not explain which elevator to take so we ended up in the deserted VH mall. A nice woman who just came off an elevator told us to go around to the separate entrance to the medical offices. We went there. NONE of the office listings by the elevator say 1. RADIOLOGY, 2. SCRIPPS . NONE OF THEM. Where were we supposed to go? There were no doors, no people, no phone numbers. So I called and called the number on our pediatrician's flyer and kept getting transferred to people who had never been in the building and read us the same instruction- go to the building with no sign for Scripps or Radiology. Then they kept transferring me to the radiology clinic and disconnecting me. 40 minutes elapsed with this circus and I finally get the man in radiology and I explain our need to get an xray. He keeps telling me he is about to close. He says we should go to Scripps Mercy even though it is 4:40 and he is open and we are a couple minutes away. You can tell he doesn't want us to come even though we are located in the parking lot directly behind his building and it would take is less than 2 minutes to get there. I explain we just need a chest x ray and that we have been trying since BEFORE 4:00 PM to find the office that is NOT labeled in the building directory by the elevators. He says it's a one room clinic and he is the only one there. Clearly he didn't want us to find him. He keeps saying he is going to close soon. He repeats again that we could go to Scripps Mercy which is across the street for the fourth time and I give up. P.S. Scripps Mercy had us in and out in less than 15 minutes with kindness, grace and courtesy. We were done even before Scripps Coastal closed. STAY AWAY FROM SCRIPPS COASTAL- as the man told me it is a "one room clinic" with only him working there. He does not want to help you or any patients.

So far all the appointments for my wife are kept and scheduled ahead of time, but be aware that each visit you will see a different person, nurse, doctor, practitioner due to the nature of this program. You don't have to come super early because unlike other clinics they won't see you early until it's your time, so avoid waiting in the lobby for too long

These are recommendations which have been recently suggested, phone-based calls on Molina Healthcare public phone number, several transfers, suggested phone numbers, ALL for nothing! Due to this year's change in insurance. I've had to suffer the ineptitude of Molina...particularey any mental health protocol. Shocking! and potentially harmful. 100% incompetent/ negligent. I was transferred at least 8 times, plus "call-back" numbers...simply trying to obtain a 10-15 minute appt with a genuine MD, specializing in Psychiatry. ALL I require is the continuation of existing meds prescribed by my last Dr. What's so hard about that? I spent from 11:30am to 4pm exhaustively TRYING to connect to a legit psychiatrist's office to make a simple appt!!! What the hell is wrong with you people?!? i USED TO TRUST YOU. 4 1/2 hrs is LONG ENOUGH!!! He is professional, listens to your concerns, and helps develop of plan of care WITH your input. I've now been getting allergy shots at the clinic weekly with Jay, RN and he is also fabulous! He is super friendly and takes great care of all the patients. Definitely recommend coming here for the allergy clinic!! As for the ophthalmologist I saw, he was not friendly and dismissed my concerns. He almost laughed them off to be honest. I haven't felt that disrespected in a while. Wouldn't recommend.

I spent nearly $11,000 with Advanced Functional Medicine seeking treatment for mold-related illness…read moreand left feeling completely misled. I was not there for treatment of my autoimmune condition--I already had a neurologist managing that. I came specifically for help with mold illness, yet nearly every symptom I reported was attributed to my autoimmune disease while my mold concerns were never addressed. At the time, I was incredibly sick and so desperate to feel better, so I was willing to try almost anything that gave me hope. Because of that, it didn't take much for me to agree to finance treatment. I deeply regret that decision. My initial consultation was with Dr. Willis, but after that I never saw him again. Every subsequent appointment I had was with other staff members, such as a nutritionist. I later learned that Dr Willis was a chiropractor rather than a functional medicine physician, and there was no physician involved in my care who could prescribe medications. Most appointments were phone calls that consisted of me crying and being told to give the 'treatment' more time while my health continued to decline significantly. I also experienced repeated problems with my 'medical records' and the administrative side of my care, including errors in medical documentation and billing. In my experience, the entire process was disorganized and added to an already overwhelming situation. After months of treatment, I had accumulated a large loan while my condition continued to worsen. Ironically, I am now doing significantly better under the care of a physician who actually specializes in mold-related illness and toxicity. This experience left me feeling devastated and taken advantage of. This is my personal experience, and I hope others carefully research who will be treating them, understand their credentials and scope of practice, and think carefully before making a significant financial commitment before signing anything.

I would give them a solid 5 stars as the care of my GP and the staff are wonderful. However, I recently was laid off and went in for an appointment to pay out of pocket for. No blood work, labs anything; just taking with a doctor who was filling in for my GP who is out. I was told that the estimate was $216 without any labs or other work. I paid in full. Then, I received multiple phone call saying I owe and addtiinal $84 and I asked for what. The person calling said that I signed a form saying it was only and estimate and I had signed it. I asked why the higher amount and they admitted that I went over the time allowed for a visit. NO WHERE on and form I signed did it state "you have 20 minutes with a doctor and any time over that will be billed". So, they said they would look into it and contact me. I asked to speak with a supervisor and that person called me back a few days later and said the same "well, you signed a form" which I asked again to tell me where in the form it states that I there is a time limit if 20 minutes". She rattled off some codes and said I could look them up online and I again asked to show me where it states that there is a 20 minute time limit. She repeated herself again and finally, being fed up, I said I was disputing this. She said they would look into it and someone would get back to me within 48 hours. Almost 2 weeks later, I am still waiting. Be wary if you are paying out of pocket for a general visit if your time and ask if there is a charge for being over 20 minutes. Again, no blood or lab work, only blood pressure checked and doctor looked at an area of concern on my chest and spoke to me about a nerve disorder I have. That was all they did and I left. Getting in touch with your doctor is a multi-step nightmare: you must call a generic main line, leave a message with a representative, and hope it gets passed along. Doctors and nurses do not call you back directly, even when dealing with abnormal test results. Instead, you receive a text via the app telling you to schedule an appointment. Time delay: I have been waiting 9 days just for my doctor to sign off on a critical follow-up radiology order and was just told that it will take another 2-3 days for the doctor to sign the order. The administrative delays and lack of direct communication are incredibly frustrating when dealing with health concerns.
