This is based on my appointment with the allergy clinic and consult with Dr. Lopez. He is probably…read moreone of the nicest and approachable doctors I have encountered. He is professional, listens to your concerns, and helps develop of plan of care WITH your input. I've now been getting allergy shots at the clinic weekly with Jay, RN and he is also fabulous! He is super friendly and takes great care of all the patients. Definitely recommend coming here for the allergy clinic!! As for the ophthalmologist I saw, he was not friendly and dismissed my concerns. He almost laughed them off to be honest. I haven't felt that disrespected in a while. Wouldn't recommend.

BUT, everywhere I try within a 15-mile radius is not able to help or in a scary neighborhood. . None accept Molina or accepts new patients or both. These are recommendations which have been recently suggested, phone-based calls on Molina Healthcare public phone number, several transfers, suggested phone numbers, ALL for nothing! Due to this year's change in insurance. I've had to suffer the ineptitude of Molina...particularey any mental health protocol. Shocking! and potentially harmful. 100% incompetent/ negligent. I was transferred at least 8 times, plus "call-back" numbers...simply trying to obtain a 10-15 minute appt with a genuine MD, specializing in Psychiatry. ALL I require is the continuation of existing meds prescribed by my last Dr. What's so hard about that? I spent from 11:30am to 4pm exhaustively TRYING to connect to a legit psychiatrist's office to make a simple appt!!! What the hell is wrong with you people?!? i USED TO TRUST YOU. 4 1/2 hrs is LONG ENOUGH!!! I've been patient, mindful of my tone, complimentary of stellar customer service....though lacking in results. You should be ashamed!!! I miss my PPO!!! You suck!!!!!!!

This is an update to a review I left back in January 2026. I appreciated that Dr. Willis reached…read moreout a number of times to see how they could make this right with me. Considering I still have health concerns that I'd like to correct I felt he provided a sincere concern on how to rectify the situation. As a business owner myself that was is important to me. I am willing to go along with the program designed for me (which is much different than the first time around). I cannot say if it is going to make a difference since it's only been a week. Health issues can be very complex and achieving the desired results can and usually does take many paths. I encourage anyone seeking optimal health to at least talk with AFM with their concerns and ask the honest questions and do the research on understanding your individual health concerns. Thank you Dr. Willis for responding to my previous review.

I spent nearly $11,000 with Advanced Functional Medicine seeking treatment for mold-related illness…read moreand left feeling completely misled. I was not there for treatment of my autoimmune condition--I already had a neurologist managing that. I came specifically for help with mold illness, yet nearly every symptom I reported was attributed to my autoimmune disease while my mold concerns were never addressed. At the time, I was incredibly sick and so desperate to feel better, so I was willing to try almost anything that gave me hope. Because of that, it didn't take much for me to agree to finance treatment. I deeply regret that decision. My initial consultation was with Dr. Willis, but after that I never saw him again. Every subsequent appointment I had was with other staff members, such as a nutritionist. I later learned that Dr Willis was a chiropractor rather than a functional medicine physician, and there was no physician involved in my care who could prescribe medications. Most appointments were phone calls that consisted of me crying and being told to give the 'treatment' more time while my health continued to decline significantly. I also experienced repeated problems with my 'medical records' and the administrative side of my care, including errors in medical documentation and billing. In my experience, the entire process was disorganized and added to an already overwhelming situation. After months of treatment, I had accumulated a large loan while my condition continued to worsen. Ironically, I am now doing significantly better under the care of a physician who actually specializes in mold-related illness and toxicity. This experience left me feeling devastated and taken advantage of. This is my personal experience, and I hope others carefully research who will be treating them, understand their credentials and scope of practice, and think carefully before making a significant financial commitment before signing anything.

I have been with Sharp for 15 years. I am very happy with my PCP (Jubran) and Rheumatologist…read more(Mayer). I am not happy with how long it is taking to get appointments. Three months to see my PCP for some skin patches that had turn colors after my mastectomy. 2.5 months to get an appointment for an appointment with a podiatrist. What about some contracts with outside specialists until the backlog is reduced?

I went into urgent care for infection on my hand after previously going to telehealth doctors twice. (Telehealth doctor told me to take OTC medicine and later an antibiotic ointment.) I took the OTC medicine for a month then noticed it got worse. I went to Sharp Santee urgent care and had culture done. At the same time I was given regular antibiotics. Ten days later I went to NP in doctor's office and said all is well. 2 hours later I got a call that the culture results showed positive and was told to once again take the same OTC medicineI had been on for the last 2 months. (I told them I was already on it for 2 months and was ignored.) I was never given the correct medicine until I finally went to the dermatologist. Dermatologist is the ONLY person that listened to me. I also got billed for urgent care as if I saw a dermatologist, which I NEVER did. (I owe $280 for this.) I now owe $200 for NP which did absolutely nothing. I will owe the dermatologist $280 for my recent visit, and another $280 for a follow up. Overall, I am out of pocket over $1000 because they cannot listen. I should have been given correct medicine from the onset since I specifically mentioned I had been on the OTC version for over a month and it was getting worse. I provided pictures, history of what had happened and details along the way. No adequate help was ever given until I was out of pocket over $1000.
