This is a little restaurant close to my old Cégep. It recall it opening and being curious about its fare - but I never went until yesterday. My family and I wanted to try their pho and other dishes. We ordered beef pho (large), poulet cari (chicken curry) and poulet laqué (glazed chicken). The restaurant is fast-food style; the food is ordered and picked up at the counter. Service was quite fast and courteous, and soon we all received our meals. The pho bowl was quite large, but the amount of noodles inside wasn't quite as expected. The meat balls were tasty, but the beef slices were overcooked. Perhaps food safety regulations are preventing them from serving them rarer? Most noticeable of all, the was no basil :( The other dishes also wavered between passable and average. My brother noticed the the intensity of flavours seemed to vary from visit to visit - depending on the cook, perhaps. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't phonomenal. Just a casual spot for asian-ish food.

I am biased because I have known this place for 8 years now. I used to go here when I was a med student, since they were really close to Université Laval and the owners were viet. It is kind of a Vietnamese fast-food, you order your food and pay at the counter. I give it a four because I survived med school with their apetizer of tom yum soup ( I really missed my mom's and this was the most decent Canh Chua I found in ste-foy) and their pad thai. I prefer their pad thai to the one at Thai zone in the pyramid. The owner is very nice and they take the time to ask me how I'm doing and where I'm at since I don't live in qc city anymore. I went back this week and saw it's a lot more busy than it used to be. Their pho is okay, my parents had it and were not too impressed, even though that's the name of the restaurant : the taste is OK, they just lack a bit of the garnments we are used to put in pho. Their mi xao don is not too bad (crispy noodles) too.

I am an Asian and craving for good Asian food, especially soup. Pho and Tom yum is good, even though could definitely be better.

Great place to curb my homesickness as I'm from the Bay Area. I had curried chicken with no complaints :)

The soup base for pho was way too salty, and not real broth. The noodle was overcooked. And they don't provide basil leaves.

Okay. Firstly, I'm Asian. Secondly, I eat so much Thai food wherever I go and coming from Toronto…read morethere is tons of Thai food. This restaurant is INSANELY AMAZING! We were going to drive to Quebec City but got tired and instead found this restaurant on Yelp. You HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE especially there PAD SEE EW!! It's so hard to get noodles the right texture and the flavour is INSANE!! Must must try! I wish this restaurant was in Toronto. Also. The prices are sooooo cheap considered the portions are huge! This is a gem!!

The spring rolls are incredibly fresh and tasty. The soups were unbelievably tasty. The Tonkinese soup is a mini-pho and wonderfully flavorful. My wife ordered the pad see ew and raved about it's flavor; possibly the best she's ever had anywhere. I ordered the Pham Thai with chicken. Amazing, just amazing flavors. Now, the surprise. The amount you get served on a plate could easily feed 2 people; no joke. Now the only compliant. The wait. I honestly think another cook would take this place next level. I thought they focused too much on their to-go orders more than the customers seated and waiting for their food. Flavors = 12 out of 10. Service by wonderful wait staff = 10 out of 10. Time to plate the food for seated customers = 5 out of 10. When we visit Quebec from the U.S. again, we will come back for the incredible food and hopefully the plating time is fixed.

Our last night in Quebec City, we dined at BŌ Cuisine d'Asie, right next to Le Capitole Hotel…read more We kicked things off with the BEEF TATAKI: beet salad, cilantro, and nam jim sauce. That sauce was the real star--don't shy away from the raw beef! It was a must-try for sure, earning a solid 9/10. Next up were the TEMPURA SHRIMPS (3 pcs): krupuk chips, Québec seaweed emulsion, and wakame salad. While these were a bit more batter than shrimp, I think that's the point! The sauce balanced it out nicely. I'd give these a 7/10. The SALMON SASHIMI was one of the best dishes of the night. The sauce added an amazing flavor that really elevated the fresh raw salmon dish. Easily a 9/10 for this one! For dumplings, we got the BEEF GYOZA: wagyu, ginger, cabbage, green onions, and soy sauce. I prefer my gyozas crispier, but the flavors were spot on. A tasty 7/10. For the main dishes, we had the TERIYAKI SCALLOPS: maple-glazed, crispy rice, fried seaweed, spicy cream sauce, and red caviar. These were incredible--so fresh and perfectly balanced. I loved everything about them, and they deserved a 9/10. The highlight of the night was definitely the GENERAL TAO CHICKEN: fried grain-fed chicken breast, marinated with sesame and topped with Tao sauce, pan-fried veggies, and Québec organic camelina seeds. This dish was perfection and an absolute must-order, a well-deserving 10/10! For dessert, we had the MANGO CARAMEL & CHOCOLATE BAO: fried bao with chocolate-caramel ganache and mango kombucha sorbet. If you've never had a dessert bao, now's your chance! It was a warm, chocolaty pillow of love that paired so well with the mango. A delicious 9/10 to wrap up the meal! Overall: 9/10 for the food, 5/10 for affordability (not very budget-friendly but the quality is there), and 9/10 for ambiance. I loved the chic blue velvet vibes here!

We've tried the dim sum dumplings, kungpao chicken and different fusion dishes. I'll stick to more common dishes for better flavors and tastes. The kitchen tried I've acknowledged that but it's missing something? I don't know where to put a finger on it. It's just missing something. But overall if you're craving some Asian dishes and are near old town Quebec City this is a must.

We came to this location as a party of 4 on August 11, 2019 for dinner…read more We were seated fairly quickly although the restaurant seemed fairly empty. There is a patio space and more room towards the side of the restaurant. The decor is interesting with ladles hanging on the wall between bricks and the 'chairs' basically are wooden log stumps. We did notice the place was very warm - not sure if it was because their AC was not working. Anyways, we ordered 3 different soups - vietnamienne, thailandaise, and provencale. Vietnamienne - this one was pretty disappointing. I felt it was just some canned beef broth. 6 pieces of thinly sliced lean beef and rice noodles. Bean sprouts and basil on the side. For a place that boasts its soups, this broth wasn't very flavorful and the beef was kind of tough despite it being thinly sliced. Also the broth wasn't particularly hot when it came to our table. 2/5 - don't get this is you have had legit pho, you'll just be sad. Thailandaise - this one was okay, had a hint of coconut, slight amount of spiciness and a little bit of lemongrass and ginger. If you're looking for that exciting bold Tom yum, this is more of a muted version in terms of flavors. Comes with rice noodles and some small shrimp - maybe 6 pieces. 3/5 - it's okay, higher if you prefer your Tom yum soup more subtle. Provencale - we got a large for this one, it really is a lot bigger, almost double the amount of broth probably. This was probably the best of the 3 - had tasty white fish, some mussels, potatoes and tomatoes in the broth. Flavorful but nothing that stands out that would make me want to come back. 3/5. Service is good - the young lady was pretty quick with taking our order, bringing us cutlery and requests for smaller bowls and checked in with our table appropriately. Price is pretty expensive given what you get. I'm pretty sure I could get more flavorful noodle soups at a cheaper price. Okay place to try but not something I'd go out of my way for.
