P1. Pho Dac Biet (small)
Mary-Ann L.

Place is clean, nice appointments with screens showing sceneries and tropical fish. There's an area for karaoke, haven't chanced upon it being used. I like this place more than its old location near TJMaxx at Fairfield square, which was the last time I reviewed this restaurant. The last time I reviewed it, a small bowl of Pho Dac Biet was less than $15. I guess it's sign of the times but still, to think that authentic food back in Vietnam is only $2 !!! Anyway I digressed. Service is good. The only thing is that they don't provide you small containers for to go of sauce. They give you packets. What I love about Pho broth is you know when bone marrow, etc has been cooked for hours to get to that rich broth, the color, the depth of taste. You get it here at Pho Viet.

Pho Viet 1 isn't your run-of-the-mill pho joint. We went all in on the Hu Tieu Do Bien (seafood noodle soup) and Hu Tieu Kho (dry noodle bowl), and wow -- both hit the table looking as good as they tasted. Fresh shrimp, squid, beef, and crispy toppings layered over chewy noodles, with a side broth that was bright and fragrant. Every bite had that "I'd come back for this" factor. Yes, the price tag is higher than your standard pho house, but you can taste where it went -- fresh seafood, generous portions, and a broth that doesn't cut corners. Service was friendly, waters stayed full, and the vibe inside is casual but lively -- perfect for catching up with friends over a serious noodle fix. If you're a pho loyalist, try the Hu Tieu here. It's a game-changer and proof that sometimes, paying a little extra is absolutely worth it.

Attentive (almost too much) beautiful interior and yummy food. So glad to be able to have this for breakfast!

Finally a great Vietnamese restaurant that no more matter which dish I get, it's always solid! They moved from their old location that was in the Fair Field shopping center to Kemps River. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Great for large parties. My go to is always the Pho and the broth is rich in flavor with fresh toppings along side - bean sprout, basil, onion, jalapeño, noodles and don't forget the lemon. My hubs always get the lemongrass chicken and that's equally flavorful with nice grilled char. The soup that comes along with it is not the same as the pho broth so it pairs very well when eating the chicken and rice together. The Bahni Mi sandwich is good but just wish they put a little more of the toppings (daikon, cilantro and carrot). Mine hardly had any. Overall, this my favorite Vietnamese spot!

Second time I've been here. I don't remember much about the first time but can certainly say that the food is about average. Most of my party seemed pretty underwhelmed and a couple did like their food very much (maybe order the vermicelli). What stood out most was the disorganized manner we were served, constantly mixing up the orders, serving the wrong drink to the wrong person and not really apologetic about the experience. Ambience is just like the food, just ordinary and nothing special.

Love the bun bo hue here at this location. The service is pretty prompt. The Thai tea got better and now tastes like it's made from scratch and not from the packet. The place seemed newly renovated and clean. I come often with the fam.

The total. Again. Not bad for the amount of food they give. Very fair and VERY good definitely coming back

Atmosphere was very chill, I enjoyed it. The service was amazing and the guy was on top of things. The food.... the food is amazing I got these amazing egg rolls and pho Dac Biet with a side of white rice so I can mix it and it was amazing! Pricing isn't bad for one person. First time here too. And it won't be my last!

Nice Vietnamese restaurant with plenty of seating inside and friendly service. Their menu is very diverse including rice dish, noodle dishes, pho, and more. My dad and I came here on a Thursday around 11AM and it was completely empty, we were seated immediately. My dad ordered a large special pho and I ordered a pork and egg roll vermicelli bowl and tri-colored che. We got another vermicelli bowl for my mom togo, which they brought out first and put on our table. The food came out very quickly, within 10 minutes. The pho had a very meaty broth with plenty of meat balls, beef slices, tendon, tripe, and noodles. My vermicelli bowl came with a good amount of park, fresh greens, crispy egg roll, and a side of fish sauce. Overall, the quality of the food was decent. I felt like the egg roll could have had more filling, and the fish sauce could have been more sweeter/spicy (felt like it was more plain.. almost straight out of the bottle) but overall the quantity was great. I brought home about half of my bowl and was stuffed. My dad really loved the pho and is not very picky. The che was very okay, very different from the tri-colored che I had before and I was a bit disappointed. Felt like the quality of the jelly was sub-par but the beans were fine. I'd probably come back to try more of their menu.

The staff is all extremely friendly and made several suggestions. I didn't have time to enjoy a meal but they have a variety of healthy choices to chose from and rotating drafts! I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.

I ordered the spicy umami miso ramen with tofu, karaage, and a soft-boiled egg, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I'll admit I went a little overboard with the add-ons, but I was just too excited and couldn't resist. It's a hidden gem tucked into a shopping center and easy to miss from the main road, but there's plenty of parking and once you're inside it's much more spacious than it looks. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Prices were very reasonable too, especially for the portion sizes and quality. There's also a wide menu beyond ramen, so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. Before leaving, I grabbed a brown sugar boba milk tea too. I was already full, so I saved it for later--but even then, it was still really good. Overall, a great first experience--I'll definitely be returning!

I ended up on the combo of their soup and salad since their soup also sounded good. I was hesitant on the strawberries in the wine country salad since I know they're not in season really, but they were lovely. Everything in the salad worked well together and the dressing was nice and vinegary while still tasting of raspberries. It was very well balanced except for the ratio of toppings to greens. I feel as though there was just a little too much toppings. It could've used more leafs. As for the soup, it was a little bland, but after adding salt and pepper it tasted nice. It was mostly soup rather than crab or corn though. That was my only critique really, the temperature was good as well. It could've used some crackers on the side, but it wasn't necessary, just would've been a nice touch. Our waitress was quite nice, checked up on us and got us refills. All of our food came out together and hot. The sandwiches on other people's plates all looked wonderful, and after having a shoestring fry, I can definitely say next time I will be ordering some of those. As far as ambiance goes, it was nicely lit but still moody, which was appreciated. Very chill in there. Only reason I rate it 3 stars is because I feel as though there's room for improvement food wise, and price wise. $20+ for almost everything on the menu is pretty ridiculous. Even for some of the simple items. I don't think the food is that good, proportionately appropriate, or creative to be that much money. Maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel. I'll probably be back to try more items, I'd recommend coming here at least once to try if you haven't, during happy hour to get the best prices if you can.

I chose the $25 option, which included an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. For the appetizer, I picked the shrimp rolls and crab rangoons. I also loved that it was a duo, so you didn't have to choose between the two. That was definitely a plus. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp pad thai, and this was actually my first time ever trying pad thai. I wanted to try something different, and I'm so glad I did because it was really, really good. I would honestly go back just for this dish alone. The shrimp was cooked well, the noodles had the perfect amount of flavor, and the portion size was very satisfying. No complaints at all. For dessert, you can choose between coconut ice cream or fried bananas. My friend got the coconut ice cream, and I got the fried bananas, and we ended up splitting both. Together? Delicious. They do offer them together as part of the $35 option, but since we both did the $25, we just shared--and it worked out perfectly. The customer service was also great. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. They kept our table clean, cleared plates quickly after each course, and checked on us throughout the meal. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and happy to give recommendations. Overall, I would definitely go back to try more of their food.
