Craft your own pizza with pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, chicken, basil, sausage and pineapple
    Michelle K.

After hearing lots about Pi Co from a friend, we decided to drop by for some pizza on a Saturday evening. We thought that it might be a good idea to order through the app because we can take our time looking at the toppings without feeling rushed. However once we paid it said that the estimated time for pickup was 35 mins! How does it take 35 mins to make our pizza and grab two drinks?! We kept seeing others walk straight in and got their pizza within 10 mins and immediately knew ordering through the app was a mistake. We walked around shop at Don Mills for about 20 mins when we went into the store again to ask about our pizza. They didn't even look at our order yet but told us to sit and wait for 5 mins and they'll make it right away. After a long time we finally got our food and it looks good. We crafted our own pizza with pesto as the base, mozzarella cheese, chicken, basil, sausage, and pineapple as the toppings. It was delicious and well worth the price tag. However, I can do with less oil as our pizza was dropping in oil when we picked it up and the crust was slightly burnt. I would say that if you're interested to definitely not order through the app! Otherwise craft your own pizza is the way to go.

$17.00 to make your own pizza at Pi Co. On par with the quality of Makers Pizza, Pi Co allows you to customize your own pizza with an array of different cheeses, topping and sauces. Quick and easy food for when you just need something to fill you up to be honest. This isnt authentic italian pizza people!! So don't have your expectations super high! Ask for it well done/extra baked if you don't want that droopy centre created from all your toppings

Meh. I've experienced better is a very apt description for Pi Co to me. I have seen them around and have not really tried it until now. I kind of feel like I wasted my pizza quota of the day on them... You start off with choosing pizza/salad. There is a margherita for $10 and custom craft your own with unlimited toppings for $14. For a small additional price $2-4, you can get truffle oil, gluten free pizza base, and more. They take down your name and one of the staff will proceed to build the pizza with you. You walk down the countertop and list out what sauces, cheeses, veggies, and meat items you would like. The pie is then put into their oven and cooked in five minutes or so. It is sliced and you pay and then enjoy! There is a good selection of ingredients. For sauces there are two kinds of tomato, a pesto, BBQ, and a few more. We got half pesto half regular tomato. The pesto was more of oily base rather than saucy. We proceeded to get fior de latte, shredded mozzarella and cheddar. There was also feta, parmesan, and such. Veggie-wise, we went for spinach, basil, corn, pineapple, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. For the meats, there was ground sausage, chorizo, pepperoni, turkey, chicken, bacon, and maybe a few more. We asked for a few of those and the staff member would assemble the pizza and kept on asking yes and? next? what else?. But if we listed 3 items that we wanted (and we did this slowly), they only added 1-2 of those items and then just skipped down the line... Not sure what was happening. Anyway... once we got to a certain point in the line, the staff member told us we can no longer add any more because it will be too heavy and the pizza will not turn out nice. And then proceeded to ask us what else we wanted to add on. So were we suppose to just stop and proceed right away to cooking the pie? Once we got the pie, we were asked if we wanted it to be cut into 4 or 6 slices. Paid our bill and we left. I do not think that staff member's attitude was all that great but, hey we all have off days. Taste 3/5: The dough was really salty. I believe either the pesto dressing or some topping led to the giant buildup of oil on top of the pizza. It was running and dripping everywhere. As well, the toppings were really sparse. Look at my pie! There were only 4 pepperoni slices. Sad times. Overall the experience was very underwhelming. I think because I do have a comparison in my mind and I much prefer the other fast fire'd custom pizza chain more. Pi Co has a slightly more expensive price point and the toppings were not satisfactory. Was it really 'unlimited'? That is highly debatable. Plus, why was the dough so salty?! If you are the area and really really really craving for pizza, then yes, you can try Pi Co. Hope you have a better time with them than me!

Quite impressed by the pizza at Pi Co. It is definitely at another level above the everyday pizza joints like Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc. The dough and quality (plus variety and type) of ingredients is superior, though that also comes with a price hike. My only complaint is that after ordering through their app, it took almost 40 minutes to pickup the order. It would have likely been faster if I physically was inside the store to put in my order.

14 dollars for a craft your own pizza with unlimited toppings is a decent deal. There is a pretty large assortment of toppings, including vegan friendly cheese. The pizza only takes 5 minutes or so to cook. The pizza looked amazing, but the taste was just good. The middle of the crust was still a bit soft, and while the quality of the ingredients can be seen and tasted, how it all came together left a little to be desired.

3.5 I am a fan of Pi Co for sure, but I guess this location still has to get their operations executed more efficiently. There were 3 staff working when I came, but I had to wait for a while until one of them noticed me standing there. He apologized and I wasn't upset so no harm done. I decided on a gluten free crust margherita pizza...because you know I gotta keep up with my hypoallergenic elimination diet. It was a bit steep I guess but worth it because it's contributing to my diet so it's all good. It took a while to prepare and cook the pizza. The staff member explained that the gluten free crust takes longer. His customer service was quite good I have to say and I wasn't upset at all. The pizza did taste quite amazing though. Wood burning oven charcoals the crust just perfectly...mmmmmmm And the gluten free crust really makes it that much lighter. A perfect harmony of flavours. I'll be back every once in a while when I go to Fairview.

This place is so cute. The employees are extremely friendly and the restaurant is clean. When we sat down they cleaned the table to just double check it was clean and they offered to bring us cutlery and napkins to us since we didn't grab any. Awesome staff! We ended up doing the build your own pizza. It was nice to see the ingredients spread out so you can see what catches your eye. What caught our eye? Pepperoni, basil, Italian sausage and some bell peppers. It was delicious! I also found it to be pretty filling for a Sunday lunch. I would go again, definitely a place to check out in the don mills area.

This is the second Pi Co location I've visited and I just love it. I've never had pizza made in front of my eyes, come out fully cooked and taste delicious all within less than 5 minutes. It had the perfect thin crust and a nice crunch to it as well. I got the margherita pizza but I think next time I'll try customizing my own Was it the best margherita I've ever tasted? No, but it was definitely in my top faves. I'd prefer a bit more of the cheese and basil for my personal preference. I'll definitely be back!

I came here because I was intrigued by the $15 pizza for unlimited toppings. I was able to put as much toppings as I would like and the employee didn't seem like he cared or was judging me. I even asked him to top more cheese at the end after all my toppings. They put the pizza in the stone oven and by the time I paid and got a table my pizza was already ready. The pizza was cut in fours and when I went to lift up a slice, the toppings mostly all fell off the pizza. Taste wise the pizza was okay. It was not anything to rave about. It was lacking flavour in my option but for $15 for unlimited toppings it seems like a decent deal. What I have to say is the staff does not often clean the tables ... if at all. I had to use napkins to just quickly wipe down the table. Overall the service was good, food was okay, and it could be cleaner. I would go back if I ever want to grab a quick pizza.

Wow! There are some really negative reviews on this place. Despite the low star rating, I decided to give Pi Co a try since I'm already at The shops at Don Mills and c'mon, how can you go wrong with $14 create your own pizza with unlimited toppings? Ok, I take that last comment back. You can go really wrong if you load up with toppings that doesn't go well together. I would agree with the sanitary comment that long hair should be tied back and/or wear a hair net however, I disagree with the comment that it's just a bunch of clueless kids working there. Firstly, kids need jobs too. who do you think is working at McDonalds but everyone seems to be ok with that. Secondly, these kids were professional and hard working. It was non stop pizza making during my visit. As for the pizza, I enjoyed it. Fresh and quality ingredients with perfect timing in the oven. Give Pi Co a try! Small business need a chance to survive in this competitive food industry.

Flavourtown let down! Bland tasting pizza, little toppings and over priced, soggy mess that you should avoid! It was terribly disappointing!

It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
