I tried the newer location before this one, and honestly i preferred the freshness of the newer location better than the other one. After trying many slices here my top favourite are: The burrata marinara (the charred garlic in it is so good) The pineapple (sweetness of onions and freshness of pineapple is so good) Mushroom (solid but i prefer it at the other location better, the dough was so thick on this one and not much flavour like I had at the other location which was so flavourful and thin and crispy but chewy) Not as good: Pepperoni (texture was there but it wasn't anything special and kind of tasted like Pizza Pizza) Mushroom at this location Waited an hour and the line started at the gelato stand for reference.

Worth the wait! They open at 11:30, I went around 12pm and the wait time was about 20 minutes on a Sunday morning. They also have online ordering if you want to skip the line! The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the red sauce slices, the mushroom was my least favourite out of the ones we have tried. It was nice and cool inside, but there is no seating inside. They do have plenty of chairs outside for you to dine. I understand the hype now, I'm glad I tried it!

This was my second visit, and the burrata pizza redeemed itself -- found it disappointing the first time around, but it was really good this time. We waited about an hour, but it was worth it. The pepperoncini dip remains my favorite of the dipping sauces, which have been phenomenal on both visits. On my first visit the line was extremely long, and while the pizza was really good overall, the burrata one was a bit underwhelming that time -- the vodka slice was the highlight. Still not sure if it's worth the long wait, but the pizza itself is solid.

Pizzeria Badiali absolutely lives up to the hype. The slices are crisp, flavourful, and hit that perfect balance of chewy and charred that only a real NYC‑style pie can pull off. The toppings taste super fresh, the sauce has that tangy kick, and the whole experience just feels like a guaranteed good decision. One tip I highly recommend: pre‑order. The waits can get long but, ordering ahead makes the whole thing smooth and stress‑free. Totally worth it for pizza this good.

Every time I line up at this place I ask myself "is it worth it" and every time I bite into that vodka sauce I think "hell ya it was". Be prepared for a 60 - 90 min wait but also for the most crispy, fresh and flavourful slice you'll ever have. Vodka is hands down the best one and I want the pepperoncini dip to be buried with me when I die.

I have always wanted to try Badiali after see all the reviews and I understand the hype! The pizza here is one of the best if not the best in the city. I sampled a bunch as you can see in the photos and the slice with burrata and basil was by far my favorite. You might feel rushed during their busy service because it is not a big space so I would suggest to decide what you want first before getting in line. I am already thinking about going back as I write this review!

Badiali is truly that girl. We finally got to try the pizza that was so good it inspired a Miss Vickie's chip flavor, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We came around noon and the place was already packed out the door. Since it was our first visit, we went for a mix of slices: Pepperoni: A classic done right. The perfect amount of pepperoni with a crispy yet fluffy crust. Vodka: Creamy and velvety without making the slice soggy. The depth of flavor was surprisingly rich. Burrata Marinara: Light, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The burrata, basil, and marinara make the perfect trio. This was our favorite of the four. Capicola & Pineapple: I loved that the pineapple was sliced thin instead of chunky. The capicola wasn't heavy or overly salty, and the sweet and savory balance worked really well. People were leaving with stacks of pizza boxes, which says a lot. We even debated grabbing a whole pie for later but decided to show a little self restraint. After finally trying it for ourselves, the hype makes complete sense. This is easily some of the best pizza I've had in the city.

Came Saturday around noon, was about an hour wait but well worth it!!! Was easy to find seating after ordering; and shout out the friendly 16 year old who works at the front door and helps with line management. Really nice neighbourhood and one of the best pizza spots in the city. Recommend the Burata with hot honey, and vodka pizza

Wow it's no wonder this place always has SUCH a long line. We waited an hour but the pizza was so worth! I love the mushroom truffle pizza but my friends also loved the vodka and burrata marina. We got both the GG ranch and creamy pepperonci dips. My friends all liked the pepperonci but I actually liked the ranch better. Both are worth trying! The wait was long but it's honestly not too bad on a nice summer day with friends

Waited 1 hour on a Saturday evening beginning at 8:30 pm. Limited outdoor seating. Good crispy thin pizza. Around $6 CAD per slice. They had to turn people away because they have a hard stop at 10 pm. Would come earlier if I were to come back. The also stopped serving whole pies past a certain time and ran out of some of the menu.

Could there be a more simple, yet perfect slice than the burrata marinara? For me, no. The bright acidity and subtle sweetness of the marinara sauce coats the crisp, light dough, accented by the milky creaminess of the burrata and fragrant highlight of fresh basil. The variety of flavours mingle to give you a good bite through and through. If you're in the neighbourhood and there is a lineup of less than 10 people (trust me, it goes by fast), come on in!! Service is efficient and my order has always been correct. There is very limited space to stand and eat by the windows (...and you get a view of the lineup, the lineup also gets a good view of you, hahah), and there are also a few tables and chairs outside. When the weather is nice, you could walk to the park nearby and have food there. I know you can order ahead, skip the line, by getting a whole pie, but I want variety! Perfect to come with a friend, order 2 slices each, request when they heat up and slice down the middle, allowing you to try 4 types of slices. I also like the mushroom bianco, cacio e pepe, and salami and hot pepper. But whatever you get, get the burrata marinara too and start your meal with that. mmmm... I will be back again and again.

Was craving a good pizza place while visiting Toronto and we ended up with this final choice. Literally the best quality pizza i've had and huge in serving too! We ended up with capicolla & pineapple, vodka, margherita, and burrata marinara. My personal favorite was the capicolla & pineapple as there were even purple onions on it which made it taste in the perfect savory and sweet! Highly recommend trying the ranch and hot honey to pair with your pizzas! There are only bar areas for people to stand and eat. We were so hungry and we got lucky to snag a vacant area to eat our meals right away.

Visited on a Sunday at around 2 and the long line took us about 45 minutes to get our pizza. I saw there was a separate line to order ahead of time and would do that next time. Known for their Vodka one, but I liked the pepperoni more. Mushroom bianco was also good but the carmelizd onions were too sweet. Not a floppy pizza, super thin, super crisp, super nice. Reminds me of pizza in New York.

    The slices!

The room is small, and the service was friendly. We shared a Caesar salad to start, which was simple but good. We had the duck confit white pizza and the Iberian red pizza. They were both quite tasty, and I reheated them the next morning on the frying pan for breakfast! They had some decent wines to choose from as well. Overall, we were both impressed with the good simple pizza. I think we've both kind of reached a saturation point with pretentious pizza spots, so this was a nice find in the middle of the financial district.

The food overall was fantastic: Caesar Salad - 4/5 very good, with crispy prosciutto and shaved Parmesan. The dressing had a tangy kick but was on the lighter side. Spaghetti Seafood - 5/5 YUMMY! There were large tiger shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, and salmon in a white wine tomato sauce. So good, loved the variety of seafood. One of better seafood pasta dishes I've had. Mushroom Mafalda - 5/5 HEAVEN! Mafalda pasta with four different mushrooms: cremini, oyster, portobello, and porcini. It's cooked in a truffle cream sauce and is a mushroom lover's dream! Absolutely delicious. The server was friendly but not attentive. She forgot a beer we ordered. Aside from that the food was overall so good I would most definitely come back again.

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
