One of our esteemed institutional partners is Pittsburgh Opera. Shane Emrich of Emrich Piano service is a fabulous piano tuner/technician and a class act. Shane has been a pillar of managing all tuning and technical service aspects during our annual Piano sale fundraiser as well as in numerous homes after the event. Whilemany skilled piano technicians lack the expertise and refined mannerisms to serve the public, I have never heard a single complaint but rather have received many commendations from our residential and institutional clients especially during the recent pandemic. His company offers such a diverse level of full-service piano amenities. We have utilized Emrich Piano Service on many occasions not only for exquisite concert tuning of pianos in homes and on the concert stage. We have also used them to install player systems on existing pianos, install in service climate control systems to keep pianos regulated in older homes, and advanced regulation of piano action as well as robust voicing services. Whether you're home or school or church resides in Pittsburgh, western Pennsylvania, North Hills, South Hills, Allegheny county, Butler County, or the surrounding areas including northeastern Ohio, Shane Emrich is your singular most preferred piano tuner and technician contact. Lastly, he has uniquely refined piano rebuilding and restoration skills.

Jordan helped me get a Craigslist find (a console piano) moved to my home safe and sound. After…read moredoing some research on piano movers in the area, he was first on my list, based on his online post warning people about the true cost of a "free" piano. I gave him a call, and he picked up right away to give me an estimate and get the scheduling process started. On the day of the move, his piano inspection services came in handy, as he pointed out an issue that ultimately didn't dissuade me but definitely informed my expectations about what I might expect from the lifetime of the piano and the potential cost of repairs. He tested the action, inspected the soundboard, bridge, and more, delivering little lessons along the way to make sure I could understand. If I were to pick a mover again today, it would without a doubt be Jordan!

I won't give one star because he was prompt in returning calls and trying to get me scheduled. But…read morethe other reviewer's experience that he "definitely had an attitude" and "gave me a nasty feeling even in a short interaction" corresponds with my experience. I was surprised at his extreme confidence and commanding, rapid speech when I first talked with him. However, I just chalked it up to his personality as someone who was confident that he knew how to run a business in his area of expertise. But he was not very flexible in working with my schedule at all. He told me what he was going to do whether it worked with my schedule or not. He wanted to come into my new house when I wasn't there to drop off a piano. When I tried to explain to him that I couldn't accommodate a certain change because of another contractor's sudden change (I have had both my main moving company and the flooring company reschedule appointments multiple times), and I might have to look at other companies because of the short time frame, he snapped: "Go with another company. You're too difficult to work with." To which I responded, "You're kind of a * too." I know, I shouldn't have, and I regret snapping back at him. But he was definitely a "my way or the highway kind of guy" and came off as pretty arrogant. If you are able to work with him and stay on his good side, you may get a good price.
