I expected basic elementary school productions, but I was so surprised and impressed by how professional they were and by the performances of all the students. That experience led us to sign my eight-year-old grandson up for their summer production of James and the Giant Peach, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Kris Huston and her team truly focus on teaching the fundamentals of musical theater. The students aren't just learning their parts--they're learning real theater skills and what goes into putting on a quality production. I've watched my grandson grow and polish his skills through these three productions, while gaining confidence and, most importantly, having so much fun. You can see that same growth and training reflected in the wonderful performances of all the students. I look forward to watching him continue with Huston Performing Arts and seeing his skills and love for theater grow over the years. I never got a call back, and I decided to try once more where I finally got someone and booked a session. (Our other local music school was relocating farther from us, and my daughter really wanted lessons.) Our lessons were.. okay. They didn't always start promptly and they were usually in tiny, hot rooms big enough for one small folding chair (plus instrument and standing student with teacher). We tried it out for a couple months and it was not for us. When canceling, they assured me it would be okay, but of course they continued to charge us the following months. I called, and again no return messages. I called again, spoke to someone and they said James would call me back, but not a word since two weeks ago. I had to dispute the charges with my card, but save yourself the effort I went through and seek lessons elsewhere.

He seems to take his craft seriously and set up the guitars just how you like them. Shout out to Vincent. I was also very impressed by their 45 day return policy on gear, that's actually crazy long! The sales staff seemed pretty cool as well, mainly because I already know what I like and want and what I am looking for and don't need their "help" so any interactions I felt were just them doing what's necessary as part of the job, rock on guys! The only thing I think that's a bit crazy is the set up and luthiery prices, but at least the work was done right.
