Paula is hands down the best! My piano has never sounded better and she even helped fix a problem with it on the spot!

    Rapid Moving and Trucking

I'm not one to leave one-star reviews, because I believe feedback and concerns should be addressed…read moredirectly with the business first. But when you make the effort to address it directly and don't even receive a follow-up or apology, it feels like it warrants sharing the experience publicly. I hired Rapid Moving to move between two houses less than two blocks apart--a move I likely would have done myself if time allowed. I also hired them to pack two of the six rooms in my home: the kitchen and my child's room. Upon arrival, similar to what others have mentioned in reviews, the movers smelled strongly of weed. They were also dressed in what I would consider inappropriate attire for a moving job--oversized clothing and slides. One mover was actively playing a gambling game on his phone while speaking with me and while I was giving them a tour of the house. That same mover stayed on his phone for most of the day, only hanging up when they drove the truck to the new house. At one point he even asked to borrow a charger because his phone had died. Many of the conversations he was having were inappropriate, and I was honestly relieved that my kids were not home to hear them. The move itself wasn't particularly fast, though I wouldn't say they were dragging either. What was strange was that with the truck only about half full and still two rooms of furniture left, they decided to make a trip to the new house to unload and then return for the remaining items. They ultimately finished within the expected time, but the last portion of my belongings was simply left in the living room. They also left an entire box worth of toys behind in my child's room that never made it onto the truck. During the move, they put a large dent in the molding around the bathroom door in my old home and broke one of the steps leading to the upstairs bedroom in the new house. The packing portion was especially disappointing. The movers only brought standard large boxes, not heavy-duty ones. While some delicate items were wrapped, several cocktail glasses were not wrapped at all. Most of the boxes appeared to be packed by simply tossing items inside with no organization or protection. One box that contained all of my cocktail glassware had a cast iron skillet placed on top of it, which resulted in significant breakage. In total I lost about $200 worth of glassware along with two collector plates from Disneyland Paris. In another case, a bottle of olive oil was thrown into a box where the pour spout popped off, leaking oil over the entire contents. Cleanliness was also an issue. The movers left remnants of their lunch throughout several rooms in my old house, including salsa drips on the kitchen counters. We bought them water midway through the move, only to later find empty bottles scattered around the new house. They also left behind their packing supplies--wrapping paper, tape rolls, and leftover boxes. After the move, I made an effort to contact the business directly to discuss my concerns. My call was answered by the receptionist, who was polite and did her best to take notes. However, I was really hoping the owner would follow up with at least a phone call and an apology. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Zach and Dez were extremely easy to work with, very friendly, and handled everything without complaining, even after dragging things up three flights of stairs! Very happy with the experience as a whole.

By far the worst moving experience we have ever had. Let me start off by saying, Brian was…read moreextremely rude and unprofessional. Not only to us but to his "workers" as well. Let me start from the beginning, I contacted Brian for a quote two weeks ago. He asked me how many bedrooms and bathrooms I told him everything my home had, including the trampoline and patio dining table that I wanted taken apart and rebuilt and included pictures. First, he told me $900 without the trampoline. I told him I wanted a quote including the trampoline. He quoted me $1100. I asked him to come take a look in person and he said he didn't need to because he already saw all the pictures. Fine. Deal. Fast forward to moving week, I text him two days prior to confirm date and time, he confirms but now says he needs to come at noon instead of our already agreed to time or 9am. Fine I understood and said sure if you think you and your guys will be done on time. He said "don't worry we got it" noon comes around, he tells me he'll actually be late and come at 1pm I say fine, 1:10 hits I call and ask him where he is, he says oh sorry I've had a crazy day I'll be there at 2. At this point we are pissed and it's too late to hire a different moving company. Any who, they show up at 2pm, keep in mind, it's him, 2 of his family member, 2 younger kids in their 20s he hired online and one older guy he hired off Craigslist... None of them employees or insured movers. At first, he's doing a decent job, wrapping our furniture, loading the truck up correctly to where everything fits nicely until the 2 hr mark hits and he tries telling me that he's gonna need more money because it was more than he thought... I said what? You are only taking the items I clearly stated and took pictures of and he responds oh it's because I did you a favor and took some boxes. I responded "I didn't need that favor, you decided to take those boxes because you needed them in order to organize the things in your truck." He responded that it was because he didn't come in person to see and I told him yes and that was your decision, not mine. Anywho, he left behind the trampoline, our grill, cat tree, a desk chair along with other items he had originally quoted me for. Keep in mind, he said there was no more room in the truck. There was PLENTY he just decided to throw everything at the end instead of organizing to the top to ensure things fit. Damaged and dirtied so much of our furniture. NOT TO MENTION, he had to borrow all of my husband's tools and about 15 of our bedding blankets because they came unprepared. When he closed up the truck I sent him $550 before he headed off to our new place (half of our quote price) and once we arrived to our new place he tried pulling my husband to the side and told him he could go back to the house and get the trampoline and build it tomorrow for an extra $150. I overheard and went up to him and told him you're attempting to charge us more for something that was already included in our quote? He said "oh I already talked to your husband about it" I said I don't care, you're talking to me because I am the one who hired you and made the agreement so as a matter of fact I will not be paying you $1100, I will be paying you $900 what you originally quoted me without the trampoline. He got extremely offended and told me to relax that he doesn't care it's only a couple hundred bucks. I said ok cool then we're good! Nothing negative to say about the people he hired to work with him, they were extremely kind and also tired of dealing with his awful attitude. Would definitely not recommend Brian's "moving company" My babies crib fell apart when I laid her in it, patio table completely fell apart after we tried having dinner on it and the beds all needed to be redone. PLEASE do not give this fraud your business. I could sue him for the damages he has caused and we are strongly considering it.

On moving day, he was very communicative and let me know when he was arriving - in fact he made it to my new place before I did. The two of us were able to get my items up to my apartment on the second floor in less than an hour. I truly couldn't have done this without him. Would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a mover
