Service was fast and accurate on a Sunday morning. Multiple customers came in while I was placing my order. I like that they have mobile ordering available and will have your order ready in the pickup area. Donuts are cake version and a couple donut holes (yumsters) were filling. If I had to describe Yum Yum donuts to someone that never had one before I would say it closes more like a Krispy Kreme Donuts than Donut Donuts but more hearty and more delicious than Krispy Kreme yet more addicting than a Donut Donut = Danger Will Robinson! Ran into the Warminster location on my lunch break yesterday and did not have a lot of time to pick out six donuts. Went with White Lighting, Chocolate Thunder, Carmel Salt donut, and one Jelly. So far I tasted the White Lighting and Carmel Salt donut, of the two I would rate the White Lighting the best. The variety of donuts makes me happy and I will definitely return as I was silly only purchasing one Chocolate Thunder and one of my friends snagged it ,whammy! One thing that really rubbed me the wrong way though was the fact if you buy a half dozen or even a dozen no discount! You kidding me? Guess the days of even a small discount for buying large supplies is done? The other item that rubbed me the wrong way was I asked the cashier what she would recommend as my girlfriend was looking for a donut without powdered sugar on it but still has white cream in the donut. She basically had no knowledge of any of the donuts....I mean is it me or wouldn't you learn about the donut offerings you are serving all day at a donut shop? For 60 years, Yum Yum has been the only donut in town and for good reason. Their yeasty, doughy puffs of sweet heaven are the freshest donuts around, made right here on premises. At their old location at County Line and York, we'd marvel as high schoolers through the window to the kitchen how bakers would use big wooden broomsticks to flip dozens of them at a time from one side to the other in the hot oil. Those guys were wizards with those sticks. Sorcerers of the donut working 24 hours a day. Every now and then Warminster's Finest would dip in for a coffee of their own and to make sure the smacked asses were behaving. You could even smoke in there! I stopped in tonight right before closing and grabbed a few for the road. Kudos to the kid behind the counter tonight for listening to the same history lesson I told you just now. Bigger kudos to him for having to deal with the Karen who came in literally 30 seconds before closing to return the donuts she bought the day before because they "weren't fresh." There is zero chance she was sold stale donuts. Might they be slightly chewy if you waited a day? Sure, but what kind of asshole waits to eat a donut? Hell, I've had two as I've been typing this. Who the hell tries to return donuts? Regardless, I hope the kid behind the counter didn't get too much grief from her. We always use Yum Yum when we want to send a little box of happiness to family and friends. Their donuts are as wonderful to eat as they are to look at. It's a sweet way to say Happy Birthday or a thoughtful pick me up. All of the fillings here at Yum Yum were plentiful and delicious ~ the sugared Lemon was refreshing and light, the Creme Delight was topped with the most delicious chocolate. The Chocolate Thunder was a little disappointing ~ too, too many sprinkles that was a huge distraction from the chocolate icing ~ and this was the only donut that could have definitely used more filling inside. The Raspberry Jelly sugar donut was excellent ~ fresh and packed with lots of jelly, the Peanut Butter Cup was another winner with whipped filling and topped with chocolate and the Boston Cream was even better than expected ~ incredibly smooth custard and filled to the max. Normally I would be singing praises of Yum Yum, but lately I am very disappointed. I stop in a couple of times a month for myself or to bring a couple dozen for staff. However today was the last straw. After purchasing an iced coffee role and attempting to eat it at my office, it was clearly at least a day old and pretty much almost as hard as rock. This has also been my experience lately that we are being sold 'day old "donuts without being told they are or with a discount. I've been a Warminster customer since I was a kid when they opened. Updating review: had them recently and the donuts were packed with cream and filling. I guess it really depends on who is working and how crowded the place is because on this day--- there weren't as many people in the shop and I got in and out very quickly and the donuts were packed. Yum Yums is my favorite spot to grab donuts and I love their bagels and iced coffee. The staff are always so friendly and happy to serve their customers! When I tell others about Yum Yums- they are satisfied and craving more! I would recommend this donut shop and would suggest you get either the vanilla cream, Dutch crumb, glazed or even the Dutch apple! Those are my favorites. Enter my Holy Grail...Yum Yum. I've had donuts from all over and I keep coming back to their sweet siren song. Yum Yum isn't going to knock your socks off with crazy donut concoctions. They keep it simple with the flavors you'd expect to find in any donut shop because why mess with perfection? These pillowy doughy bundles of delicious are cooked absolutely perfectly. They're fluffy without being too greasy or too dry. The icing is sweet, but it compliments the donut rather than overpowers it. My personal favorite is the White Lightning which is a cream filled donut with white icing and sprinkles. They also have a chocolate version, the Chocolate Thunder. It's dense enough to easily be a meal but not so sickly sweet that you'll feel like you're eating sugar-coated wonderbread like some donuts. They even offer larger donuts for multiple people. They'll frost them in the colors of your choice and even personalize them. I don't need to tell you, I get a birthday donut every year, instead of a cake. They aren't filling the donuts like they used too. I feel coming here is starting to be a waste of money and a waste of time driving here.
