Customer service are very honest and my items always come back looking new and fresh. When you ask for something special or have a particularly difficult item to be addressed, you could be well assured that they will address it, and you will be pleased with the results. My pants were supposed to be ready on Saturday, when I went in the man said they were backed up and wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. I asked if he could give me any kind of discount for the hem and patch job. He said 10% off and I went back in on Tuesday. The woman was very rude, said she wouldn't give me a discount. I told her I went in on Saturday and was promised one. She said she'd take $3.00 off, which was less than 10%. I said no, I was told I'd get 10% off. She said my pants were ready on Saturday and that the man couldn't find them. Not my fault. I am a new customer who won't be returning. Pants were fine, but not worth putting up with the people who work there. Being nice goes a long way for customer retention. read more

I had a beautiful cream color Pendleton quilt that I gave them to to dry clean. It came back grey like it had been washed in dirty water. Sooooo disappointing, they had been so great before but now I am having second thoughts about using them again for my dry cleaning. read more

I had been using this place for a little over a year and found them to be friendly and effective. Then a few months ago one of my shirts got mixed up with someone else's. No big deal, mistakes happen. I asked the owner and he said he knew who ended up with my shirt and that he would wait for that person to be in touch. I thought that was a strangely passive strategy. So I asked if he would call that person instead, and let me know when he had my shirt back so I could pick it up. He said he would. I didn't hear anything. After two weeks, I called again. He said something vague about the patron with my shirt having been unavailable but that she was back now and he would call her and get back to me in a few days. I Never heard anything. I told him that this was time sensitive because I was moving out of the area soon. I called him a week later and left a message saying a little more firmly that I needed the issue resolved--and he simply never called me back, probably because he figured I was moving away. I still want my shirt back. I was polite and understanding and civil and patient, but I couldn't believe his baffling refusal to correct his mistake after a month of me politely following up (which I shouldn't have had to do). What kind of company loses your property, knows where it is, but just doesn't bother to try to retrieve it? How do they expect customers like myself won't be angry about that? So beware: they are friendly, but if they lose your property you can expect to never see it again. Not because it is truly lost but because the owner is lazy. read more

This has to be one of the worst cleaners I have ever been to. So unprofessional. Took two jackets in to be repaired and was yelled at for bringing them back when they missed getting out one spot on one jacket and missed re-sewing a button on the other. I understand things get missed and was happy to let them fix it. However, when I got the jackets back they had rubbed the leather so hard they ripped it and said they couldn't fix it. When I pointed out that the buttons had been sewn too tight that I couldn't close the jacket the seamstress angrily cut the buttons off in front of me almost ripping the leather on the jacket. I've never had an experience quite like this one and was really sad that both jackets in the end were badly damaged. Had to take them to another cleaners to repair. Don't bring your things here if you don't want them to be ruined. read more

The nice couple who owns Picaroto Cleaners are very helpful and do their level best to get whatever you bring in clean. I brought them a chintz chair pad that my cat had soiled (hairballs are gross!) and it came back clean and bright and smelling lovely. Not to mention my worm eaten cashmere sweater! No holes. Picaroto Cleaners is totally reliable. I trust them with my clothing and speciality items (like a Mongolian sheepskin pillowcase!). Everything has always come back perfectly cleaned and detailed. The tailor there is great too. You can usually catch her Mondays and Fridays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. They seem to be a small family-owned operation so they may not always get to the phone if you call, but I've always been warmly greeted every time I come in. This is my dry-cleaner. They are really cheap and usually do a good job of removing the evidence of my yelp-related food adventures. I say "usually" because it was all good until my last visit. My order wasn't ready when I came in at my pick-up time. Also, when they showed me my coat I'd dropped off the shirt that went with it was missing. I came back and few days later and the shirt was still missing. They found it, then charged me for cleaning it and then sent it to be cleaned so I had to come back a third time to collect it. I know mistakes happen but I was surprised I was charged for cleaning and waited another three days for the shirt at that point. I'll chalk it up to inexperience on the part of the new cashier. I may look for a new cleaner if anything happens again. read more

Once again another bad experience at Picaroto Cleaners! It's unfortunate that the new owners can't seem to get their act together when it comes to accurately giving a pick-up date for my dry cleaning. This is the fifth time I've dropped something off, been given a pick-up date and told when I arrive that my items aren't ready (and this is days after the pick-up date knowing I need to give them a grace period because of their past unreliability.) Each time they tell me I can wait...like I don't have other things to do. I believe in supporting local businesses and always try and give them the benefit of the doubt but their lack of customer service is out of control. My wife just went to pick-up a quilt and after going back a second time, they handed it to her without it being wrapped like they usually do to keep it clean. When she asked if they could put it in a bag, the young man at the counter said he didn't know and handed the bag to her. What a frigin joke. We will never, ever go back and frankly at this point hope no one else does. A sorry excuse for a business! read more
