I had to do a bit of a rush job, I waited until roughly 2 weeks before I needed to fly out for the wedding to take care of something I had months to do, and they were so very helpful and accommodating! I was really impressed with the speed and the quality of the work. I liked that they kept me updated over the next couple days which was a huge relief. I had one thing to dry clean. I was told it would be ready by 3pm at the latest on Monday. I arrived at 5:32 and I was told the driver had not yet arrived with my garment. I waited an additional 20 minutes before I left the store with the top. I chose this location because I thought they were local cleaners, and I was shocked to hear that they outsource their work (some truck pulled up with "five star cleaners"). They are so overpriced and obviously can't handle the business since they are outsourcing. When I got my item back the stain was still present. I did a spot clean myself and got more out than they ever did. The only thing I regret I not taking a before and after photo to show how hopeless this place is. read more

ASK for $$$ FIRST! I know dry cleaners are making up for lost revenue during COVID, but come on. I was charged $19.50 for two laundered cotton shirts, really? She said it was because of the material. Then she realized her "mistake" and the correct price was a more reasonable $10. Beware, ask the price is BEFORE you drop off your clothes. My work pants are $11 each to dry clean. It costs $5.75 in SF, literally almost half. I guess the rent at Town Center is astronomical and that's why their prices are so high. bummer. Also, note the account is under my husband's name but for 3 years I've been dropping off and picking up. The owner has a 2.7 rating and instead of saying "sorry for your experience, let's make it right" his response is consistently "you're not my customer and I'm going to an investigator. I am a real person and 3 year customer. Many people use another family members name. Bad business. read more

I have been taking my cleaning here 2-3 times a month for five months now and find the owners to be nice and the quality of cleaning to be good and thoughtful ( no safety pins through fabric etc). Pricing is fair for this part of the world. They do a good job. read more

PLEASE be careful bringing items for tailoring here. The seamstress was lovely, but I don't think capable of handling a more complex tailoring job. My dry cleaned items have been great, and I wouldn't even have written a review had the owner, Tim, not been so incredibly rude and inappropriate towards my friend and me regarding a dress I had tailored. I wish I could give zero stars, as I have never been treated like this before. Story: I brought a bridesmaid's dress here to have tailored about two weeks before my best friend's wedding. I had purposefully ordered it too big, with the idea that I would just get it tailored to me. Long story short... I needed to go back on five separate occasions to have my dress altered. I was kind and kept hoping that it would be better the next time.. or the next.. finally, I went to try it on two days before I was leaving. The fifth time I had gone back. And it still didn't fit. I was irritared and a bit at a loss of what to do. And the seamstress wasn't going to be in the next day (the day before i was going to leave). I eventually decided I was just going to need to take the dress and beg another seamstress to fix it for me on short notice. I asked the owner to return the dress along with a refund of the $130 I had already paid, as I no longer trusted their work and the dress that had been too loose was now too tight in various places. He refused, saying that there had been a lot of work put into the dress and that the seamstress said I had been happy. I asked him point blank, very confused, why would my dress still be here if I had been happy? Not only that, but he also berated a friend of mind who had come with me, who had also been a previous client. I was absolutely floored. He continued to repeat over and over again in a raised voice that I "should know how much work was put in!!" and that I "should've never expected it to have taken just one time!!" (again, this was my FIFTH time). I'm sorry, but it wasn't done well or right, the dress still didn't fit, and I was then needing to take it somewhere else to find someone to fix it in a rush. So stressful for me. And absolutely something that should not be paid for. He was rude, condescending, and completely inappropriate towards both myself and my friend. I have NEVER in my life had someone in a business treat me like this. He continued to refuse the refund, so I finally just took the dress and left. He then used my number from the system to text me, saying that my friend needed to write him a letter of apology (she was simply upset at the way we were being treated) and that he was going to file a police report. For what? I'm not even sure. Truly. I'm not confrontational, and I was honestly stunned by his response to us. SO incredibly inappropriate. When I brought the dress to another (experienced) seamstress, she told me that she could see that the job had not been done well and that it should never have taken that many visits. Thank GOD she measured, worked with some things, and was able to fix the dress for me that same day (which was the day before I left). I think this place is great for dry cleaning, and again, if the owner had treated my request with integrity and respect, as I should not have to pay for a service that was not done well and needed to be fixed (for a similar price) elsewhere, I wouldn't be writing this. She was asking for a refund on her dress which they had for about 2 weeks, she had been back 5 TIMES to keep getting more alterations. And still after the 5th time it was too small. Each time she went back she was having to pay. I've never had to go back more than once for a fitting on a bridesmaids dress. I had a terrible experience with this place last year but it is now under new management. The current owners sent me a message after reading my original one-star review and asked me to give them another shot. I'm glad I did. The new owners are SO nice and they understand customer service. They did a great job with my two blouses--stains were removed and the delicate fabric was not damaged. This will be our go-to dry cleaners now, which is great because driving all the way to San Rafael for Spotless Cleaners (they are amazing) was too difficult given our busy lives. read more

Worst dry cleaner Ever!!!!!! I should have known never to come back here when my first experience was bad, but the second time topped the charts and I almost called the police! I brought a new dress which the seam came apart so I took the dress here to have them fix it. When I showed the seam to the man he told me he could fix it, but that it would only happen again he said. I asked him why and he said "this dress is not for you". I asked why the dress "wasn't for me" and he said I was too big. I am a size 2.... Triathlete and this dress was specifically made for me. I was very upset he was basically calling me fat. I said can you fix it or not? He took the dress and said I just tell you, you too big for dress. After charging me $35 to hand stitch the seam (which I could have done) I was less than impressed. About 2 weeks later I brought in a black wool coat and another dress to dry clean. I showed the same man I had a stain on the back of the coat and a mustard stain on the front. I came back 2 days later to pick up my clothes and (as in always do) inspected the articles before I left the store. The dress was fine, but my black wool coat still had the stain on the back, and I could still see mustard in the material almost like hadn't been cleaned. This time I was being taken care of by his wife. I told her, the coat still has mustard on it. She raised her glasses and said I don't see anything. After telling her the coat was still dirty she told me to go on the street and ask someone else to show her if they could also see mustard... Can you imagine!! So I did, I walked out of the store and asked a stranger at her request to show her if they saw mustard on my jacket! As the man came in she ordered me to shut up and she asked him if he could see anything on the coat. The man said, well I am color blind but it looks like there is mustard around the button. Frustrated she sent him away and told me to find another person.... And so I did and she too told the woman she saw mustard! I was so angry she made me find strangers to tell her they did a horrible job!! Never go here!!!!! Give your money to people who care about their customers, aren't rude and who respect you! UPDATE: The owners at Corte Madera Cleaners reached out to me both through Yelp and by phone. They asked me to bring the dress back to them, which I did a few minutes ago, and they are currently trying to restore it with a steam system. Fingers crossed! They also refunded my dry cleaning bill, including the costs of hemming a couple of other items, and rounded the refund up to $70. They are very concerned with remedying this situation to my satisfaction, and I do appreciate their efforts. read more

I love this place. It is conveniently located near my bank (and several others) and right off of Hwy. 1. The owners are always super nice, plus they use an eco-friendly technique to clean the clothes. I go to to them to tailor and hem my new pants and jackets. The seamstress is super efficient! I do not hesitate to bring her my new favorite pieces of clothing to be adjusted, as they always come back to me promptly and expertly done. read more

I used to really like Corte Madera Cleaners until a few months ago when I took a sweater in to get it cleaned. The sweater had one small stain on it, which I told them about. When I picked my sweater up, the entire front of the sweater was covered with black marks. It was entirely ruined. I was very upset and asked them what happened to my sweater. They said I brought it in that way, which I definitely did not. My sweater is now ruined because I took it here. Plus they refused to refund the money I paid to have it clean, that was the least they could have done. After this horrific experience, I will never go back. They have terrible customer service and don't do a good job. read more
