I've come to Picasso Naturals about 5 times over the past 5 years. It's always a super high-quality, super tasty experience. The owners are very nice people and welcome you wholeheartedly into the establishment. They use extremely fresh produce for everything they serve too! Today I got the California Sandwich, and I bought my mother the Oxy Pomegranate smoothie and the cranberry muffin. My sandwich tasted like the ingredients had just been harvested from the garden. The turkey was juicy, flavorful, and filling. The muffin was really moist and had just the right amount of sweetness. This store also sells a wide variety of supplements, cooking ingredients, coffee, and more. It's like a health food store mixed with a top-tier, intentional deli. I highly recommend checking it out! I live this health food spot! They have great wraps and sandwiches. The organic juices are always on point! Tasty and nutritious. And the owners are great. They will always accommodate you. My only complaint is that they don't offer delivery! They don't have to use every app, bug please use Door Dash or Uber Eats. Or use your own delivery people. Not everyone can leave work for lunch. And the hours are too short. It seems most health food restaurants are open until at least 5 or 6 PM. they should extend hours. This will definitely increase their business! read more

Wow. This place is truly amazing. The owners are always friendly and accommodating! They serve fresh organic juices and organic wraps. Mostly vegetarian. But they do offer antibiotic chicken as well! Best wraps and burgers in the area. My only complaint is that they close too early. Most local restaurants anc juice bars are open until 6 or 7PM. And they need a delivery service! Maybe not all the apps, but Grubhub or Uber Eats. Not everyone can leave work for lunch. LOL. Or they can use their own delivery service. This will obey double their business. read more

If you want a delcious and fresh sandwich look no further. They are a small mom and pop shop located near Rubio's and are kind and accommodating of modifications. They also have a half sandwich and smoothie combo for $13! I get the turkey sandwich, add chipotle sauce and a pomegranate smoothie. So worth it. read more

I am a huuuuge fan of their tuna salad sando! I add a little mustard and it is fresh pescado heaven! I'm pretty simple and don't get chips, but I will get an oraangeberry or mango peach smoothie for the hike back up to LA. Note: if you get a smoothie with your meal, make sure to tell them you want them together. I don't know if its a health food store thing, where (they) assume you won't be drinking with your food. But, the last 2x times I ate in the store my drink was served as I was finishing lunch. No big thing...if i wanted it earlier I could have said something. Also, there doesn't seem to be any trash cans in the store! lol.. so not sure whether to bus the table to the counter or leave it. We usually put our trays back on the counter, though. read more

Unaware of my debit card's balance, the transaction did not go through. I was going to cancel the order but he said, it's ok. Luckily, I had a few dollars in my car and was able to pay for my lunch. He even threw included a free delicious small smoothie with my sandwich! If you're looking for good honest eats in the Clairemont Mesa area, this 30 year old restaurant will not disappoint! Super cute health food store & deli thats been open since 1995. I love a good sandwich with fresh sprouts - and the sandwich here was delicious, fresh and was exactly what I love. The smoothies were yummy. We both really liked the tropical sunrise smoothie. The person that helped us was the owner I believe. He was very nice and happy to give supplement recommendations & info. Stopped in on the way to the airport to have something to take on a cross-country flight. It's a cute quaint shop that serves as not only an over the counter food counter but also stocks a variety of high quality products as a healthy store. We got the Vegan Veggie Burger and were shocked to learn that all the in-house Picasso gluten free bread products are also gluten free. Gluten free AND vegan bread? That's virtually unheard off. The burger was tasty and it was a welcome addition to have it on a bun instead of just a lettuce wrap which I usually have to resort to. Just almond milk, strawberries, and bananas with no added juice or dairy. 7.95 for the 24 oz which is cheaper than most smoothie places these days. They even function as a supply store for a ton of healthy products (e.g. protein supplements, teas, salves, etc.). On my visit, I went for a *Tuna Supreme Sandwich* ($7.95) and a regular *Soy Strawberry Smoothie* ($3.95). Their tuna salad is designated as 'famous', but it wasn't SO extraordinary. Tasty regardless. The lite mayo, sprouts, tomatoes, and lettuce were all very crunchy and satisfying. Did not have any walnuts with my sandwich as specified on the menu. Smoothie was good, but I did wish it were sweeter with the claimed addition of vanilla soy and strawberries. Too much banana I guess. Solid lunch option and plenty of parking in the plaza. There are a few products for sale that are displayed along the walls: seasonings, snacks, protein powders. The burger was good but I ended up also buying a bottled chia drink which came to about $14. Super busy spot. Made the mistake of just walking in at lunchtime. Most definitely order online. They obviously totally rock on juices and smoothies. They spend an amazing amount of time preparing each fresh ingredient for their fresh drinks and seem to have a very loyal following of regular customers. I went because they had gluten free bread so I could actually have a freshly prepared sandwich with fresh quality ingredients and still be safe to enjoy it. I waited a half hour for my order of a turkey sandwich but it was good. Again, recommend order on line so you don't spend your whole lunch break waiting for your food. Today, for example, I ordered my go-to meal (the Body Cleanser juice with the Cali turkey sandwich) - the color of the juice seemed off and it didn't taste right either - it tasted so odd I didn't even want to finish it. My sandwich lacked flavor, it was dry, and they forgot to add avocado (which comes with the sandwich). C'mon guys! If you're going to raise your prices at least get the order right. It's also not enjoyable to be bothered by the owner trying to push his vitamin club on customers. If people are interested, they'll ask about it.
