Had one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in San Diego. I highly recommend you guys who love pastrami and great deli sandwiches to try this place out.

cruised up on a post-gym yerba mate whim , got caught eyeing the deli menu in curiosity and was informed by the good man he was prepared to make me the best sandwich i've ever had. hesitant i was , i gave the gentle man the opportunity, informing him of my dietary choices, and letting him run free within those bounds. within seconds it became abundantly clear that Pierre meant business, and this man is in the Business of Love; never in my life have i received such an expertly prepared & intentionally crafted meal as i have while in his metaphorical arms. the crispness of the bread, the warm savoriness of the chicken, and my goodness those peppers?? did he grow them himself?? i find myself, even now - Hours! after enjoying this Labor of Love , this torpedo , reveling in the memory of my time spent in this Mega Deli. what started off as a spur of the moment decision has undoubtedly evolved into a new local favorite. good as hell mane , ten stars for real

I go to this daily about 2 to 3 times a week I work next door so it is very convenient to get here and have lunch. I always go with the specials there are 350 a piece and there pretty damn good. Today I got the Tuesday special which is a turkey Italiano but I always like to add a Twist to it and I had a few Meatballs 2 the equation. I call it the Godfather or in Spanish I call it El Padrino. This thing is Bomb I mean just look at it seriously just look at it.

Subway bread, subway toppings... This was $5.50 for 6 in $7 for a footlong.

Brain: "Forget everything I just said." Zero regrets. These aren't just fries...they're an entire personality. Crispy fries loaded with juicy, smoky carne asada, real guacamole, sour cream, melted cheese, cotija, and then...the magic happens when you drench the whole thing in their red hot sauce. As someone who doesn't live in San Diego anymore, this is one of my mandatory stops every time I'm back. I don't care what my GPS says..we're making a detour to Lolita's. Warning: You may tell yourself you'll share. You are lying to yourself. San Diego has beaches... but I'm here for the carne asada fries.

The renovation gave the restaurant a fresh, modern look, but what has remained consistent is the quality of the food and the outstanding customer service. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is consistently friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable, and efficient. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, they make the experience quick and enjoyable. My go-to order is the California Burrito, add guacamole (it's California after all, it better have avocado on it), and after trying California burritos all over San Diego, this one is still my favorite. The carne asada is tender and full of flavor, the fries are perfectly cooked, the cheese melts beautifully throughout the burrito, and the guacamole adds the perfect fresh, creamy finish. So, if you're looking for an authentic San Diego taco shop and want one of the best California burritos in the city, Lolita's should absolutely be on your list.

Homestyle Hawaiian has a lot of really yummy options for food. Not necessarily vegetarian friendly…read morebut as a pescatarian I find options. I really like the Garlic Ahi sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The other amazing thing they have is banana pudding, which runs out pretty quickly. Depending on how busy it is, food can take a while to prepare but that means it's fresh upon receiving. There is some seating available for dining in but I mostly get take out, and it seems everyone else does as well. The tables are usually clean and tidy, and the area is a bit small and cramped but still plenty of seating. The only issues I have is that the menu prices don't seem to match across their physical menu, ordering platforms, and what you actually get charged. I believe what I order is listed somewhere around $13 on the physical menu but I always am charged closer to $16. They also do run out of stuff, so have a back up order in mind just in case. Overall a pretty tasty place despite being a bit pricey and unreliable in terms of availability.

It became a spot we went to often . Over the years I had not been , realized I needed that island vibes today..... It's been a couple years since I have been here... there were two types of music playing when I arrived : today's hits and mariachi playing over eachother at the exact same time. Service : the three ladies working the front were amazing very kind and helpful. I ordered Garlic shrimp with rice and mac salad The shrimp was slightly over cooked but the sauce was pretty good and the garlic sauce was on the rice and the Mac salad was great . Shrimp Gets a 4/5 rice 4/5 and mac salad 4/5 Sausage Masubi No Masubi sauce on it ....rice was fine... sausage was so over cooked it was actually shriveled up little piece not even a big slice of sausage . Basically the texture of pepperoni. No sauce again... dry and tasteless so I tossed it 0/5 Kalbi ribs (picture ) One of my favorite dishes . The picture is how my ribs came (I had not eaten one ounce of meat off them) because there was no meat. The marinade was not what it used to be but it was sweet and savory so that's fine. They were def marinated . The one rib I could get meat off was so hard and chewy and dry... Now In Hawaii they have ribs hanging above the stove that are not always the grill type. they are almost air dried, and heat cooked but they are tender and have meat on the bones . This was not that. I usually never return food it has to be bad but I was not paying for meat that didn't exist and beef jerky . The ladies up front worked their handsets to get me a refund (they had to call their boss to try and figure it out ). I appreciate their great attitude and time . Not sure I actually got a refund In The end of all of it, but that's ok they tried. 0/5 on the ribs I don't know if anyone knows if this place is under different management or ownership since when they opened... but it has taken a huge dive. I'm sad. The average stars for everything is 2.5

They do have a bar area if that is your preference. Clean and spacy with music playing. Not too loud however. We were a bigger family of 8 including 2 kids under 10. We were all able to sit on one table. I liked that their seating consists of bigger tables great for bigger families. Menu consisted of a good variety. Burritos, hamburgers, pancakes, fried fish. I ordered the Love Waffle. Came with 4 big slices and fresh strawberries and bananas with drizzle of chocolate syrup in top. We also ordered the fish and chips. My fiancé is a big eater and he ended satisfied. The kids grilled cheese was nicely tasted and the kids pancakes were brought out with a smiley face of strawberries just as ordered. My son's Eggs to order plate came with bacon or sausage. He ordered the sausage but didn't care for them too much. He felt he should have chosen the bacon. Sausage were bigger, perhaps they were more like dinner sausage. They were good just our personal preference. The Torta Cubana plate could have been shared it was so big. Had to smash it down to eat. That was a gigs thing according to my son. Looked and tasted delicious. We ate for $150. Plate servings were huge. Some orders could have been shared between 2 people. Food was delicious!

But throughout we were seated there this Server kept coming back offering alcoholic beverages to my wife. My wife got so annoyed but luckily she was very tired at the time, so she didn't burst out at the annoying approach of this server and just ordered her cold Caramel drink, and finally this server left her alone in peace to eat her food. My wife had the Chile Relleno Omelette and I had the Meat Lover's Omelette, both came in big portions, but my Meat was way too salty, so I ended up not eating the meat part. We're gonna try this restaurant again but we are hoping not to encounter a pushy server and enjoy our meal in peace.

The ingredients are always fresh, and you can taste the quality in every bite. This is definitely not your average chain sandwich. One warning... these sandwiches are HUGE!
