Had one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in San Diego. I highly recommend you guys who love pastrami and great deli sandwiches to try this place out.

cruised up on a post-gym yerba mate whim , got caught eyeing the deli menu in curiosity and was informed by the good man he was prepared to make me the best sandwich i've ever had. hesitant i was , i gave the gentle man the opportunity, informing him of my dietary choices, and letting him run free within those bounds. within seconds it became abundantly clear that Pierre meant business, and this man is in the Business of Love; never in my life have i received such an expertly prepared & intentionally crafted meal as i have while in his metaphorical arms. the crispness of the bread, the warm savoriness of the chicken, and my goodness those peppers?? did he grow them himself?? i find myself, even now - Hours! after enjoying this Labor of Love , this torpedo , reveling in the memory of my time spent in this Mega Deli. what started off as a spur of the moment decision has undoubtedly evolved into a new local favorite. good as hell mane , ten stars for real

I go to this daily about 2 to 3 times a week I work next door so it is very convenient to get here and have lunch. I always go with the specials there are 350 a piece and there pretty damn good. Today I got the Tuesday special which is a turkey Italiano but I always like to add a Twist to it and I had a few Meatballs 2 the equation. I call it the Godfather or in Spanish I call it El Padrino. This thing is Bomb I mean just look at it seriously just look at it.

Subway bread, subway toppings... This was $5.50 for 6 in $7 for a footlong.

I used to come here…read moreafter church with friends several years ago, but after I saw a photo of their Carne Asada Fries online, I just knew I had to return. The carne asada here is seasoned to perfection... The guacamole is legit, and the sour cream is exceptional. All of this over a bed of shoestring restaurant quality french fries makes this dish the go to! The Pollo Asado Burrito here is probably the best I've ever had. The chicken is marinated in a sweet whole tomato sauce, and the tortilla is of elevated quality. I must say that I've been missing out these past few years on some of the best Mexican food in all of San Diego. The restaurant is newly rennovated with clean bathrooms and brand new furniture for a premier fast casual dining experience. Thank you, Alexis & Lolita's for an amazing meal!

This place has a been a go-to spot for me in SD, and I think this will be my last time here…read more I got my usual, california burrito, sub chicken. It took a while for the food to come out. Once I got it, it had beef in it, and it's not that big a deal to me, but I know people that dont eat beef for their own reasons, and it was a bit frustrating to have that happen. When I told them, they didnt apologize, or try to comp anything. Now, I wasn't expecting them to comp anything, but it was pretty clear I wasn't happy and an apology would have been nice along with a free drink or something. Usually better known establishments try to do something when they mess up. Anyway, I got my burrito and this time it had a nice long hair wrapped around it. I was done then and there. Told them again, and no refund they just took it and it came back out in seconds...I think they just took the hair off and re-served it to me. I threw it away and had to go elsewhere for lunch. Lastly, and this isn't really on the restaurant, but while I was waiting for my food there was this one loud table of men talking about politics that just made the vibe of this place undesirable. I think people should be able to talk about whatever they want, but be a little courteous to the others in the room with you. Not everyone is a MAGA fanboy. This place really changed and its unfortunate. Used to be one of the best spots for cali-burrito in town, emphasis on "used to be." If anyone has a better recommendation for some good burritos please feel free to share with me.

I visit Havana Grill whenever I want some tasty oxtail.  I noticed oxtail was one of the specials.  Last time I visited the oxtail was on the regular menu and you could order it anytime. Oxtail was extremely tender and juicy.  The mix of beef flavor and the spices in the sauce were delicious.  This is my favorite oxtail dish in town. French fries were crisp and had a delicious fried flavor.  The oil was fresh and there was no aftertaste.  Excellent fries. Pineapple upside down cake was dense and did not have a fresh baked aura.  The outside part was starting to harden like it was getting stale so I guess it was baked at least a day ago.  Cake had a mostly mild flavor.  I didn't taste the pineapple though the top was lined with it.  I did taste a ton of ginger flavor.  It appears pieces of ginger were mixed in with the pineapple.  I love ginger as part of soy/ginger seasoning for fish but not in a cake.  This is one of the worst pineapple upside down cakes I have had.  My favorite is at Roy's where you have to give them 30 minute notice and they bake it to order.  Roy's version was piping hot out of the oven, was moist and fluffy, with amazing pineapple flavor. Staff provided fast and friendly service.

Miguel approached taking drink orders. We ordered lemonades, passion fruit rita and iced coffees. The signature margarita was sweet with full body flavor. Served with a salt rim and fresh orange and lime garnish. Food: We ordered a wide variety of items from the menu. All food came out hot with nice presentation. We tried the signature stuffed French toast. We chose eggs and bacon accompaniments. We opted out of the normally served banana. Toasted to perfection and smothered with cream and fresh crisp slices of strawberry. We asked for honey and we did not use the house syrup. This meal was remarkable. We tried the California Omelette serviced with fresh avocado slices, fresh pico de gallo, crisply baked bacon and sour dough toast. Great job. Cajun Pasta is a favorite dish from our recommendation. Noted for consistency of flavor and portion size. We visited the restrooms. Both were clean with utilities stocked accordingly. The restaurant has projectors and multiple tvs featuring sporting events if you want to have updates. The ambiance is comfortable, not loud and well lit with daylight. Overall, food was of good quality, flavor, portion size and value. This exceeded our expectations. UPDATE: We are happy to inform you that we went back the next day with a party of seven. We were greeted and seated promptly after they turned two tables together. A two minute wait. The place was moderately busy. Wendy provided our table service. She was friendly quick and precise. Our bar drinks and reorders came out quickly. Consistency is present. We ventured into the menu further. Quality & food portions fresh and a great value.

The fish and chips were apparently covered-up or blocked off on most of the menus (not mine, didn't know that until after I ordered) but regardless, they were slivers of chewy fish... not good at all. The nachos and carne asada fries appetizer portions were small for price. They were served on small round plates, maybe enough for 2 to share. Not worth it. Drinks were great, their happy hour has delicious house margaritas and cold beer. The atmosphere was fun. The place is decorated nicely, and there is enough seating inside and outside the restaurant for small to large groups. The seating at our table was a little funky, some of us were on high shared benches while others were on lower chairs. I'd return for some drinks and maybe a burger.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. They had unfortunately run out of baklava, but Raz came through like a superhero! Just 15 minutes before closing, he managed to bring two of us baklava--and what a way to finish the meal! That kind of service and attention to your guests really makes a difference. And don't forget to get the pickles! They're listed on the menu as pickled cucumbers, although to me, they taste just like delicious kosher dill pickles. I'm not sure why they're called something different, but that tangy flavor adds such an amazing touch to the meal. Thank you, Tahini, for a great meal, great atmosphere, and a great evening with my cousin. And Raz, you're definitely our baklava superhero! ‍ Five stars all around!

They open really early for breakfast and don't stay open late, and close daily at 2pm. So we usually visit if me and the hubs can grab lunch together. They have so many sandwiches to offer, it's hard not to try many to find your favorite! The sandwiches we've tried: The Brisk - (part of the premier line) I usually order this sandwich. It's a full sandwich and not offered with the half sandwich soup offer. Need to remember ask for them to make it not spicy. French dip - (a classic) I just absolutely love the au jus. Enough said! The horseradish does have a slight kick to it. The Tuscan - (house favorite) delish chicken pesto sandwich The Barcelona - (house favorite) we got this on the last visit and it was an extremely dry sandwich. The Pastrami - (gourmet sandwich) - we also got this sandwich last visit, it was also very dry. I think it also had a spicy mustard, it doesn't include it in the description, but it was too spicy for me to eat which completely sucked! The Comeback - (house favorite) hubs like this one too - similar to the Italian. The Italian torpedo - (gourmet sandwich) the hubs favorite. He always comes back to this one. What I hate... sandwiches are spicy when I don't expect them to be. I don't always remember to ask if there is anything spicy used when it doesn't explicitly state it in the description. Lunch can also get expensive very quickly with a full sandwich and large soup. (~$30) What we do love are the soups! They offer different soups daily. The hubs love the tomato bisque (Tuesdays only). The chili is my absolute favorite and it's offered daily! Absolute yum with shredded cheese and chopped red onion. Also love... the tiny cookies that are included with your sandwich! Usually a small chocolate chip, but if you get a full sandwich, a chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookie! The sandwich shop is tucked into an industrial park complex. Small tables inside the shop and several small tables outside. Usually you can find parking. They're not open on the weekends, and during the week, only until 2pm. So definitely no late lunches and put your order in early! 2026: 40
