The bread was a little chewy but good. It could have used a little more spread for more moisture. It is a good size. Staff is friendly. Decent amount of parking in the lot. Got the turkey avocado wrap. Two stars bc the taste is good. The lack of stars is bc the amount of turkey in there was unacceptable. If you looked down into my wrap you could see a layer of tortilla on the outside, ONE layer of turkey rolled around with the torilla on the inside, then a bunch of veggies stuffed in the middle. Veggies are supposed to be the topping or condiment, not the main ingredient of the sandwich. It didn't seem as if there was even 1/4lb of turkey in there which should really be a minimum for a sandwich. If you're going to be stingy with your meat, at least make the sandwich a smaller size so people can taste the meat when they bite into it. Turkey and avocado should be the main ingredient, not cucumbers and pickles. I thought about trying this a second time but with "double meat" but honestly, there's a deli down the street that makes sandwiches with 1/3lb of turkey for $4.99, so why would I pay more for the same sandwich? I've been a fan of Grab & Go sandwiches for a while now so I was stoked to have one open up so close to my work. This location is tucked back on a side street in Kearney Mesa. Kind of an odd location but the same quality Grab & Go subs. This location even has a few sandwiches that differ from the other locations I've been to. The Turkey Applewood Bacon is one of my favorites. I couldnt find the business on Yelp or on the Grab & Go website, for the matter. My biggest issue was the bread seemed hard and old (I know sounds dirty-- keep it clean people :-)) which ruined my sandwich experience. Recently I decided to give them a second chance -- plus I changed up my order. Their Italian Grinder is one of my new favorite sandwiches. I had my one today -- 2nd one I've had in two weeks. So this place knows how to make a fresh sub quickly! I called around 10am today to place a 17 sub order and the woman who answered the phone was polite and had no issue fulfilling my order in 40-60 minutes! When I picked up my order, everything was labeled and nice and neat. These were a hit with my office and the portions are large (that's a A+ coming from an office of big and tall grown men!) Usually I refer to Jersey Mike's or Firehouse so it's scary to venture out on a limb - fortunately this was a first and wonderful experience! YUMMY, YUMMY! We ordered the pastrami, turkey, Italian and a couple others. I personally tried the pastrami and Italian and holy cow: they blew my socks off - in a good way! They were flavorful, large, fresh, neatly packaged and all around wonderful. With great service and wonderful food, this place gets a 5 star rating from me hands down. If you are considering a good sub spot and you're around one of these, DO IT! Grab n Go is my new favorite go to spot for lunch. I got sick of the other sandwich places around my office so I saw this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I looked at the menu first online and I saw the offered a $5 everyday sub that looked something like an Italian. I am not a huge Italian sub fan so I opted to go with a different, albeit more expensive option. They have some healthy options like the turkey avocado wrap, however I had been having a rough day so healthy wasn't exactly the most important factor for deciding on what I was going to order. The chicken bacon ranch stood out immediately. It said it was toasted which sounded good since it was a bit cloudy out and I wanted to eat something hot. I called it in and the friendly man took my order. He said it would be ready in 10 minutes and I drove over, paid, and was back at my desk eating before you could say five dollar footlong, haha. The sandwich tasted amazing. It tasted like something I would make in my own kitchen. One thing I should note is that the chicken is sliced deli chicken, not chunks of chicken like some people might expect. I love this Grab & Go. The sandwiches are always made exactly as they were created years ago at Mimmo's Italian Village on India. I especially love the Hot Pastrami, the best hot pastrami in town! And the Hot Veggie. They use quality ingredients and I love the dressing they put on their sandwiches, light and tasty. The soups are delicious. Tastin like homemade. What a great place to pop in and grab a delicious lunch for a reasonable price. I love that the Grab & Go's have branched outside of Downtown. This one is close to my neighborhood in Clairemont.
