This is our true and tried place. The food is better than grab and go. We were met with such hospitality the first time and now the second time around and we don't even live in San Diego. When we pass through from Orange County we grab our family/friends to eat there. 30 YEARS !!! What the Haal?? this place has been here for 30 years and not 1 review ! Well at least not till I rolled in to this fine Deli. This is your typical industrial park type setting Deli. No frills, get your mack on at a decent price and quick. What I do like is that they have fresh cut fruit bowls for only $2.75, great snack. The sandwich's are always good, I have been here a few times and never been let down. The daily specials are something to check out too. I like this place where they make sandwiches. At decently affordable prices, and the relative proximity to my workplace - just a short 5 min or less drive away, I call it a steal. Especially if I missed breakfast at home in the morning, this is the best place to grab a breakfast sandwich to go. For mornings, I usually get the breakfast on a croissant to go. The kind lady normally pops everything in the microwave after assembling it, and then puts it into a paper bag with some napkins. After taking a bite, I normally swoon as it's a tasty delight in the morning with the melted cheese in combination with the crunchy bacon and the crispness of the croissant. It looks like one of those Jimmy Dean croissant sandwiches but with scrambled eggs and not the already pre-made egg. Costs around $5 or so with some spare change. I have yet to try the other sandwiches but so far I only had a ham & swiss with some mayonnaise on white bread which was simple, fast and fresh. Fresh deli right in the neighborhood. Can't wait to try other stuff when I am feeling in the mood for a sandwich. read more

Not really worth the 'off the beaten path' trip. I was looking for a quick sandwich from someplace other than the fast food options off the 805. Industrial park setting so I didn't expect much but this place was nothing to return to. This is probably a good option (best or only option???) for the workers in the area for lunch so I am sure it has its share of regulars. I stood there looking at the menu for a few minutes with no acknowledgement by any of the help. There was a guy (owner?) who was playing a game on his iPad but he never even looked at me until I rang the bell on the counter. He quickly asked me what I wanted and within 30 seconds the lady (wife, owner???) jumped into action and put my pre-made, pre-wrapped breakfast sandwich in the microwave. 30 seconds later I had a brown bag full of microwaved sandwich. The ham, egg and cheese croissant was not terrible but seeing how it was prepared left a lot to be desired from a small mom-and-pop type of place. Many of your Costco favorites were available like breakfast muffins, potato salad and macaroni salad portioned for your convenience. Why not make something homemade? read more

Stop by this place to grab a sandwich for lunch. Got there and immediately felt uncomfortable. Felt like I was in a foreign country. Customer service completely missing. The guy in front was having problems the credit card machine. Finally I suggested he try the debit option, transaction was complete....The two women in the kitchen both came to the window and just stared at me then disappeared. I order the #9 and what I thought would be a crispy dill pickle slice. The pickle was as mushy as squash, couldn't stomach it, and I've had some strange foods being a retired Navy veteran. One of my friends suggested this place to me and even though I wasn't really feeling for sandwiches I went purely just to support a local business. This place is pretty much in the middle of an industrial plaza & a bit difficult to spot unless you know what you're looking for. The only sign out front is a big white "DELI" on the glass wall. There really are no frills to this place. The 2 ladies there were absolutely the nicest. The woman at the cashier helped me choose from the HUGE list of sandwiches and lunch combos that are available. I ended up getting a "bulgogi" (marinated beef) combo and my friend got a club sandwich. My combo was honestly a lot of vegetables ("salad" but no dressing) and a decent portion of meat & rice. Pretty good, not bad...but then again, I've never really had bad bulgogi. My friend said he enjoyed his sandwich too - good but nothing amazing. Honestly, I'd come back just to support the business. My mom used to own a small deli in the middle of an industrial park as well and I know how hard it is to do so. I had their turkey and cheese croissant with lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sprouts. Man it was DELICIOUS! Delicious, fresh, and healthy. It has become my favorite. I haven't tried any of their other sandwiches yet because I'm too addicted to this one but I will eventually. The name and signage really don't do this place justice. The couple who owns this little sandwich shop is very personable and gets the job done when you have a hankering for a homemade sandwich. Really, I think I could replicate these sandwiches pretty easily myself, but for the days I forget my lunch, or am crunched on time, this deli hits the spot. I've ordered the turkey club pita and turkey croissant, both of which are delightful. They must use a whole avocado on the pita club, because I got avocado in every single bite, which is a-okay with me! As for the croissant sandwich, the sprouts gave it a nice crunch; however, it was a little heavy on the cream cheese for my liking. In addition, this place is speedy - I can walk from work (about 3 blocks down) to the deli and be back at my desk in about 12 minutes (without pre-ordering).
