I don't know why it took me so long to write a review but I'm going to stay loyal to them so long as their business is open! From getting my tires patched to ordering brand new tires for me, they've never disappointed. I just recently ordered a new pair of Michelin tires, they're pricey and they were able to offer me a pretty good deal compared to other places I've checked, plus they got my tires in a day. Not even my car dealership had them in stock and were able to get them as quickly. Came to get my jeeps tire patched up since it has a screw and a nail! Since I'm already here, I'm rotating my tires since it's been around 3500 miles. The gentlemen pulled me forward right away and told me the price of what it would cost for both jobs. Very decent prices! When I arrived, it was around lunch time, but 2 guys got up from their lunch break to help fix my jeep. Really appreciated that but was willing to wait as well. Appreciate their quickness! The attention to details and the level of professionalism for my tire alignment work were beyond my expectations! I got great price and the best service. Edgar did a test drive, determined the steering was a little off to the left, made the corrections, test drove it again, and fine tuned my steering. Then, he explained the test report on the adjustments made to me and advised me to change tire in the near future and rotate them every 5000 miles to keep an even wear. These guys are awesome. Came by one evening after getting a flat. In 15 mins I was patched up, my spare was back in my trunk, and I was on my way. Then today I went because I had a nail in my tire and I appreciate their honesty because I only needed a patch and not a new tire. There were maybe two or three people ahead of me and it didn't take long for them to get to my car. It was only $25 to patch up my tire. I took my car here for a computerized alignment. Firestone wanted $110 and most places were asking about the same in south county. I was getting a smog check at VR Smog (best price in town and very nice people). So I saw in a review that this place, Pick Your Tire, got 5 stars. So I called them up and they said come on in. I went there and they were very nice to me (Luis and the other guy, can't remember his name now!) and they did an excellent job! I highly recommend them. This was my third stop to tire places. One (Orozco)I've used in the past and they are great just didn't have my size. The other just didn't really want to deal with me needing two tires. The first recommended this place Pick your tire. I was greeted quickly by I believe the owner and explained I only needed two rear tires. But I absolutely had to have them. The tread was gone on then. He went and checked on the size I needed came out with two beautiful Michelin tires. They have a comfortable waiting room with ac, tv and chairs. After I posted my review, I coincidentally had a couple of people rate my post as funny and one who went out of his way to post a review to counter mine with 5 stars. I'm not saying that it anyone was connected to this shop, but I'm just saying most people will not go out of their way to do this, especially since it was a very honest review and I originally gave 3 stars. If someone gave me 3 stars, I would not dwell on it and move on, given that the overall rating was still a 5. If anything, I'd apologize, thank the person for the feedback, and strive to do better. I will not take back the fact that there are better deals and customer service elsewhere, and that it was a high pressure sale. I've worked in sales and understand sales techniques. I even had to take courses in it and dissect why salespeople have such a bad reputation, and why integrity and honesty are so critical in sales. It could have been the fact that I was a female who came in here by myself for the first time looking clueless. It could have been anything. But the facts remain that there was not much to "pick" from, the tires were not that great of a deal, and when I was ready to pay, the guy asked for cash for "faster checkout" and pointed to the ATM when there clearly was an option to pay with credit card as well, and that wouldn't have taken that much longer. Obviously, I understand the perks of a business receiving cash. So you may find brutal honesty offensive, especially since I named another tire shop to the benefit of other Yelpers. I've had excellent service there and the guy is super honest. This experience paled in comparison and I'm not the only one who thinks this. Do better. read more
