This massive mall with nearly 2M square feet of space for up to 200 retailers is always an interesting experience. The repertoire of shops here, of course, has changed over the years. Gone are shops like Sears, Borders and Circuit City. Now there's more contemporary replacements like Kohls, Hobby Lobby and Primark. While many traditional indoor malls are dying a slow, painful death, Gurnee Mills seems to be thriving at least to some extent. The food court is still quite active and the storefronts still seem largely occupied. I particularly enjoy places like 2nd & Charles, the aforementioned Primark and Five Below. The food options like Starbucks, Cinnabon and Charley's Steaks are quite good for a drink, a snack or a light meal. There are also places for the kids to play. All of this housed in a pleasant facility continues to make Gurnee Mills an enjoyable place to visit.

They have a number of jackets that are waterproof & windproof but I find spending anywhere from $160 - $300 for a single use jacket excessive. I'm thinking maybe a poncho that can roll up into a tiny pouch & be attached to a carabiner might be a good idea & far less expensive. This would also save luggage space?

I just bought a pair of Adidas at this outlet mall at the Adidas store. I wasn't planning on buying another pair, but I couldn't help myself. My husband likes Adidas and I like Nike, so we went to Adidas first. I bought a pair of Nike shoes and so did my son. The sales guy that was helping us was so friendly and helpful. He brought out tons of shoes for my son to try on. My son is picky. First, he tried on the Jordan's, then the Kobe's, but ended up buying the Lebron's. We got it at a great price.
