Bring CASH! It's a small warehouse where the trucks from 1-800-Junk drop off their hauls. It's a fun experience to sort through the random second-hand stuff, banter with the guys, and try to get a deal. No cards accepted as of May 2021, open only on Saturdays. They have a large staff working the floor and the back constantly stocking and organizing clothes and items. The store is pretty clean and for a couple hours before the store is open the entire staff is working hard to get the store ready to go. Let's just say I have the inside scoop. I've scored some cool stuff here in my visits. Nice drinking glasses, and a very good condition lamp all for decent enough prices. Some of the tags are a bit overpriced, including buy 4 books get 1 free? Really? Should be more like BOGO on those seeing as how they have a small library accumulating and not a lot of it moving. Most thrift stores have a tough time maintaining order with the swarms of folks that roll in. They do a pretty good job trying to keep that in order here. Besides the kick on some of the prices, I wish they had at least one manned register. It's all self-checkout here. Good store overall though.

If you get home and the item doesn't work, you should be able to exchange it. What you could do now is offer to make things right and take back the can opener that doesn't work for an exchange--not even a refund. But see, you can't even make things right. Wasn't the opener free for you? Did you have to pay for the opener? How can you keep someone's money for a defective product you sold? What kind of business does that? Your response is completely inadequate. Tried to talk to someone about it but got shut down and told they don't have a store manager to talk to.

Thrift stores are becoming more like consignment shops with more collectable and high end items. My problem is when they overcharge for them. My know here is the same I have at most thrift shops they are 95% housewares and woman's clothing. As a man, I donate items that no longer fit or are just not my style and I assume I am not alone, that said, it's hard for me to find a selection of menswear at most thrift stores. This isn't my neighborhood, so it's less than likely I'll be back, but that said despite a friendly staff, this place is just not catering to men.

I snatched up one of the remaining parking spots directly out front of Helping Hands Thrift Store…read morewhen I visited yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 31 December 2024). Additional parking was located up above/to the side of the store. The entrance/exit was straightforward to navigate and the open sign was clearly displayed along with store hours in the window. Entering the store, I was greeted by a worker and found myself facing a large area with lots of clothing. Walking in to the store on the search for thank you cards, I noticed a doorway to the left which had some home goods. I turned in and noted Christmas/holiday items on sale. After looking around, I found a stationary section with a number of different card options. I also found a bag of just envelopes. As I sometimes make cards for people, this was a sweet find as I could now mail the cards I made. I selected the envelopes and one of the thank you card options. The cashier area was located inside the entrance/exit. A bell was available to ding if the worker was not at the counter. My total came to less than four dollars and my cash payment was accepted. Leaving the parking lot, I found the fit could be a bit tight. However, one car departed as I was about to pull out, opening up additional space so my departure was not so tight.

The Bespoke Clothier completely changed how I think about fit. If you have a hard-to-fit body type,…read moreyou know how disappointing even "altered" clothes can be. I brought Gabriel a designer suit that still didn't feel right after store alterations. He was pretty honest--said the best it could become was a 7/10--and then went to work. He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). Every item has come out perfectly tailored. If fit has always been a compromise for you, it's worth seeing what Gabriel can do. Adding some photos, but I'm not a fashion/textiles photographer. It's harder than it looks.

I should have read more into the negative ones before using him. A suit to me is an investment and it's really important that tailors take their job professionally. I came in to The Bespoke Clothier after doing some research as I needed a suit altered for an upcoming wedding. I had 2 weeks before the event which I felt was plenty of time for the job. I made an appointment with Gabriel for a consultation to look at the suit and discuss timing and needs for alterations. No real dressing room, just a closet that you can change in. He looked at my suit and made recommendations for the sleeves to be taken in and shortened and pants let out a bit on the waist. I also asked about adding surgeons cuffs with functional buttons. Gabriel mentioned that it's really easy and they do that all the time but they charge per button. Understandable I said and agreed to the pricing. This was Tuesday and was told that the alterations would be complete by Friday. A busy Friday for me meant a pickup on Saturday which would have been perfect as their posted hours on their website says: Saturday 9am-5pm. When I arrived on Saturday to pick up the suit, the lights were out, door locked and a note posted saying "Flexible Hours" this week and to text a number. I texted the number which replied that they would check with Gabriel on timing and they would communicate back to me a time for pickup. No response through Monday evening and by Tuesday at noon, I was getting a little concerned about lack of communication and timing. I decided to call on Tuesday afternoon and Gabriel picked up and told me the suit will be ready by 3pm that day. I arrived at the shop at 3:30pm with the pants ready and the jacket looking disheveled and unfinished with the buttons popped off one of the sleeves and arms way too long. He said he thought I needed the sleeves lengthened and he marked it incorrectly. He said this is an easy and quick job for the jacket and it will be ready tonight. I decided to give him more time to do a good job and said let me pick up tomorrow afternoon. The next afternoon comes and the jacket looked fine but I noticed that the buttons were not functional. He said he didn't take the correct notes and thought I didn't want that even though I was charged extra per button. Again was told that it was an easy job as he does this "all the time" and he would be the one personally making the functioning buttons. Again was told he could do it tonight and I again gave him extra time to do a nice, clean job. The suit was ready with functioning surgeons cuffs but the workmanship was really poor. Also one of the buttons for the interior pocket was missing. The cut and sewing lines were really sloppy looking and the thread for the buttons were not sewing inside the lining, leaving the button thread visible on the cup to lining. I'm not sure if Gabriel just over promises and has to rush through everything but i think he knows better. Overall a stressful situation being almost a week overdue, multiple mistakes and a seemingly rush job to finish. At the initial meeting, Gabriel was also trying to sell me a custom suit which I was seriously considering at the time. Unfortunately this soured my experience and mindset that he would be capable of making a full bespoke suit.

This was my first time visiting the RoozenGaarde Tulip Festival, and by the time we left, I was…read morealready saying, "We need to come back next year." I've seen photos of the tulip fields before, but nothing prepared me for seeing them in person. The colors seem to go on forever, and there are so many different varieties of tulips. Everywhere you look feels like a postcard. Honestly, the pictures I took don't even come close to capturing how beautiful it is. A little tip for anyone visiting: wear garden boots or rain boots if there's been recent rain. The parking area is gravel, and some spots can get pretty muddy. Thankfully, there are plenty of porta-potties near the entrance before you head into the farm. The staff were so friendly and helped direct everyone where to go. As you walk toward the fields, you get a little preview of the tulips ahead, and I remember thinking, "Wow, this is beautiful." Then we got into the actual fields and realized that was just the beginning. There were so many great spots for photos. On the day we visited, the sky had those big fluffy white clouds, and the colorful fields reminded me of the Teletubbies landscape my son used to watch when he was little. It felt almost surreal. I also loved that this is clearly a family farm. There was food, a gift shop, and even a catalog where you can order bulbs to grow some of these beautiful flowers at home. The whole area has that small-town, community feel that just makes you slow down and enjoy where you are. Knowing that your visit helps support a local family farm makes it even better. And the mountain backdrop behind the tulip fields? Absolutely incredible. Every time I thought I'd found the prettiest view, I'd turn around and find another one. If you're thinking about going, do it. Just be sure to stay on the paths and help protect the flowers for everyone else. This was one of those places that left me smiling the whole drive home.

The crowd comes with the territory. What really stood out was how well-organized everything was. Staff were actively directing traffic for parking and foot traffic which made the arrival process surprisingly smooth given the turnout. It's clear the organizers put thought into the logistics. The flower variety was truly awesome! Sooo many stunning colors and blooms that you just don't see every day. If you're a photography lover then this place is a dream. Every corner was practically begging to be photographed. They did have concessions on-site, which was convenient but my one suggestion would be to bring in a couple of food carts or local vendors to mix things up. The options were pretty basic. Think hotdogs and the usual staples. A little more variety in the food department would really elevate the whole experience. Minor food note aside, it was a fantastic visit and a perfect way to spend a spring day.

Their succulents are very limited, and they don't have that many different types of echeverias here. However, I got in outdoor plants two years ago since I got a bigger yard, and this place has been great for me since. This place is not gigantic like the flower world, nor is their price amazing. However, it's located in an expensive area in Bellevue and the price is reasonable given its location. They have a lot of shrubs and trees on top of other outdoor plants, and a small collection of indoor houseplants. They have many different types of fruit trees, including cherry, blueberry, kiwi, fig, grape, and so on. They also have rare ones but they are gone since they only have 4-5 of each type. I'm not sure if they keep more somewhere else. They have tons of different rhododendrons with different colors (white, orange, res, purple, yellow, etc). The bigger size costs $55, and the small one is around $23. I've found the same one (big size) at Costco for $25 or so, so it's important to know what you are looking for. Don't come here for common plants, but the rare ones that's harder to find elsewhere. Oh yeah, they also have 6-7 types of clematis here as well. I've gotten several lilacs here last year, and they are all blooming and growing nicely in my yard. I also love their Allium giganteum display around the "fountain" so much that I bought some bulbs and planted some in my yard.

For example, they will re-pot your plant for free (if you purchase plant and pot from them). And they offer container design to help your plant placements benefit the most from their environment. These are amazing perks for a novice gardener like me! They also offer delivery which is great for getting tall plants or larger/heavier orders home, and have master gardener clinics on Saturdays from spring through summer. Discovered this unique gem in Woodinville a couple of months ago and return to browse every other week or so. The warehouse is smattered with various household goods, from radios, musical instruments, chairs, paintings, planters, outdoor sporting equipment and everything in-between. It's not only fun to peek through the treasures here, but surprisingly rewarding when you suddenly discover just the right thing for a gift or household need. The pricing is amazing, and Brandon is quick to fill the community with his salvaged materials that some folks just can't get rid of fast enough. I am amazed at the great finds and thankful Brandon has had the insight to help the community and environment in such a colorful meaningful way. Looking forward to my next trip! read more

My boyfriend is a dedicated thrifter and he loves coming to Pickers because he finds so much cool stuff. At first I was wary of Pickers because it came from junk trunks. BUT I have warmed up to Pickers and I'm glad I have. We have found so many things at such a cheap price that are most of the time like new once cleaned up. My most recent favorite finds was a bunch of Pusheen items. You never know what you are going to find at Pickers and there's beauty in that. Sometimes you find nothing, but sometimes you find so many treasures. There is something for everyone at Pickers.
